  • There a taste rabbits hate? I tried some bittergen for dogs/cats (truly horrible stuff for people too) and my doe LICKED IT ALL OFF a test piece of wood like it was candy.

  • ...that's a good bunny!

  • hi i was wondering if i can just use shredded paper with no ink in it

  • No tripod?

  • I found my rabbit didn't want any part of the litter box until I put a scoop of his droppings in it. After that, the litter box is now the only place he wants to do his business.

  • Hi! I was wondering if I could use shredded paper for my rabbits litter? (home shredded,my dad has a lot as he shreds paper most days.)

  • wait the rabbits name is little bunny?!?!

  • How do you know if the newspaper is soy based ink or not?

  • Hey PetFoodDirect,I was wondering if you have to take a shower/bath for your rabbit,of not then what do you do? Please reply back I need to know because I'm getting a ribbit on my 12th birthday.

  • @MeganIsAsian908 you cannot bathe your rabbit as bathing your rabbit will stress themout!

  • I Got my bunny about a month ago she just grew in her whiskers so im not sure how old she is since weve bought her weve tried to train her it hasnt been working she still usesall around her cage and im trying to understand why ive been very consistent with putting her poop in her litter box but she still poops all over the place! HELP ME if i dont get her trained soon my mother is going to give her away!

  • @kew18545 What does your dad call a "busy scedule" ? I ame a fresman in highschool, Karate teacher (4th degree blackbelt), Repetory ensemble at dance (7 hour rehearsals on Sat, 2 hours every day), Guitar, AND I own 2 Leopard geckos, a dog, a rabbit and cats. Not to mention my volunteer job a the local pet store. And all my pets are properly cared for AND I get straight "A's". What I think you should do is show him this comment (except for this last sentence) and see what he thinks. Good luck!!!

  • can you use cat litter for them?

  • @abisbeautychannel really not a good idea....if ingested, it can cause a serious intestinal blockage.

  • yeah theres 3 places with my bunny shits....in my bathroom rug, in my hallway rug...and his cage LITTLE TRAINING HERE I COME!!!!

  • Well I've been wanting a rabbit since I was two (and I'm eleven now) but my dad says no to any pets due to my busy schedule

    any advice?!?

  • @Animal00Kaiser

Just throw out all the mess inside the litter box out, then wash it with safe washing detergent, dry it, and then put in fresh newspaper, litter and hay

  • We Just Used A Towel And Cleaned IT daily

  • I love how the rabbit just sits there, <3

  • Took me 1 minute to train mine :)

  • Uh,hi. I'm planning on buying a rabbit , I've learned everything from the other videos and just one question, it may be stupid but I'm only eleven. Uh, how do you clear the litter box? My aunt has a buuny but she doesn't use a litter box so she doesn't know, PLZ REPLY, I'm excited of having a bunny and this is the last thing I need to learn. Thanks!

  • It took me a day to litter box train my rabbit. I only use feline pine, and Timothy hay in for her to spread and eat. I also have a seperate litter box on the bottom level of her cage wth nothing but hay to munch on and then I take a couple of toilet paper rolls and place hay in them. Never have a problem with Daisey going to her main litter box.

  • I feel so discouraged about my bunny . I've had my bunny , which is a holland lop, for 1 month now , and she is 6months old, she is not spayed or neutured either . I havent had alot of process of her litterbox training . She poops pretty much everywhere .She also tends to like to chew on my clothes . I also spoil her with 1-3 yogurt drops a day ,or a 'carrot' treat . And also give her fruits .Please help .

  • @azncafenerd keep your rabbit confined to its cage until it established bathroom habbits. Then let it out only for brief periods of time, increasing the time as it keeps using the litter area or box. If it deficates outside the cage, clean the area up immediately and don't let your rabbit out for as long. Scents of previous spots of urine may lead to repeat offences.

  • @azncafenerd rabbits usually pee in the same area. when i was training my rabbit, he did not use the litterbox at all and pooped everywhere etc, but then i noticed that there was a particular corner where he would always pee so i placed the litterbox there and suddenly he was pooing and peeing in the litter box. sometimes i get scatterings of the poo but that is just a territorial thing. so i think, it's just a matter of observing your rabbits routines and going from there :)

  • is it good 2 leave ur bunny in the backyard freely?

  • i already have everything and i have kept the litter pan within his cage for 3days now and my rabbit has no problem with it but when i let it play around the house it rejects it and keeps making a mess everywhere around the house even inches away from the litter box what do you suggest i do honestly hes 10months old

  • why would you go and buy a litter box, just use a bin

  • Hi Elly - There are mixed opinions on this matter, so it's always best to check with your vet before making any changes to your regular routine.

  • Hi PetFoodDirect , I am just wondering if it's okay if I can use cat litter for my bunny? Please reply!

    Elly

  • Can I use cat litter?

  • *Rabbit pees.* "GOOD BOY!!!! WHAT A GOOD BOY!!!!!!!" Lol, she makes it sound like she never knew rabbits could pee or something.......!!!????

  • Very helpful thanks!

  • thank you so much this has helped my alot now i dont have to clean up as much it only to me 2 days traain him to do this thanks alot

  • every time i put the litter box where my rabbit uses the bathroom, she just moves to the other corner. what will i do?!?!?!? DDDDD:

  • teeny's tips says to pick up their dropping with a paper towel and put them in the litter box, they will eventually understand. also, put LOTS of hay in the box. hope that helps:)

  • Box*

  • I am getting a 2 year old female rabbit, will I still be able to litter bow train her ??

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • Hey! PetFoodDirect, Where to buy all those things? please reply :D

  • @NOMADSCrysis Check out our channel page for a link to our website. Everything we feature in these videos are available to order from our site.

  • @PetFoodDirect Thanks. I was wondering about that.

  • My bunny was totally litter trained from beginning. She never went to the bathroom anywhere else ehan in her toilet BUT since we bought another bunny she goes everywhere! She doesn't want to pee in her litter box! The other bunny (a boy) pees in his litter box but he does his other buisnes everywhere! What should I do? :( It's not funny anymore...Will it get better with time? They are together for 1 week now and they don't have the same litter box.

  • @slun4evka If your rabbits aren't fixed that could be a reason why they're marking different areas. Rabbits are healthier and live longer when they're fixed. They're also less aggressive.

  • @crazziii Thank you :) He's fixed because we don't want bunny babies :D But they're ok now and are doing their buisness only in their litter box :) I guess they were marking different areas at the beginning but now they love each other and don't even mind using the same litter box! I'm so sorry my bunny had to live alone for 6 months! Bunnies should always have a partner. They are so much cuter and happier when they are together :)

  • i have tried to litter train my rabbit, but it doesn't seem to work on him, i have even tried putting a small handfull of hay in the litter box. It is a small corner litter box, should i try a different litter box, what do you suggest?

  • @NancyGray123 start putting the litter box in his cage and make sure put it where the straw gets wet and just keep moving it to where it uses the toilet till it works all rabbits do it your not training him remember you are just replacing where it goes

  • @NancyGray123 Hi Nancy. I'm sorry but my personal experience has only been with one female rabbit. The website rabbit.org has an faq section under litter training that may be able to help you. It also may be important that both rabbits are neutered to avoid any territorial or mating related marking behavior that's going on. Best of luck!

  • great vid.

    :D

  • thank you so much :)
