Sounds like Russian to me... the few Italian words were pronounced with an American accent - unfortunately there is more to Italian than the double consonants! - but keep trying!
I don't want to argue with some of the 'Italian experts' here...I have not lived in Italy but have known a plethora of Italians and to me her accent sounds really close. I generally think she does a great job imitating most accents and I am a phonetician myself.

A fake accent is never completely convincing to the native speaker. But I consider an accent good if you can convince the rest of the world. I'm not Italian and this sounds fine to me. Italians would probably believe her American accent. None of her accents (besides the native one) is going to be perfect but I think they are all pretty good. I'd like to see all the naysayers to do as many accents as Amy Walker can.
We pronunce both consonants in 'pizza' or 'bruschetta' because those words HAVE two consonants, that's your mistake!
I'm Italian but I think I don't speak like that in English - I hope: this speech is like Mario Bros, most of Italian people are not a plump plumber!!!
@thashnetter I'm Italian too and let me tell you that as american (as american it's important remember that she is american) she have a really good Italian accent! O.o sure the word "Bella" refers only about girls...maybe she didn't know it xD so...it doesn't matter, for me she have an amazing italian accent U.U
@therealTOTOfan Yes Peter Griffin, we know your Italian is fake, so you don't really need to try to speak it that way. lol j/k
Just so you know @therealTOTOfan Peter's speech in the Peter speaking Italian video is fake, so I wouldn't recommend going around saying it, because no one will understand what you're saying.
I'm Italian. This is just a bad imitation of a Naples accent - which differs quite a lot from any other... Moreover, there is no Italian who would say "Ciao bella" - ridiculous common place!
Like in every large country Italian accents vary from area to area. Amy is doing the dramatized accent used mostly in theater and tv. People that get angry at this are being silly.
this is the first video from somebody attempting to speak italian that i do really like. She caught many things that usually bad imitators are not able to focus on. Good job!
and to the others, calm the fuck down, there are hundreds of worse videos about us on the web.this is a good one.
damn you italians take your language seriously. like no offense but i thought it was pretty good. i mean i don't think she's trying to perfect an accent, just make it believable and whether you italians like it or not, it was for most people. honestly, the only way you're going to get an accent right is if you were born speaking the language the accent comes from.
do you want to make believe that this bad Italian pronunciation is really actually spoken in Italy?!! YOUR BAD PRONUNCIATION doesn't resemble AT ALL to the true language that speak in Italy from south to north!!!
you have evidently learned that few and bad Italian that you talk to italoamerican or to American movies with Italian-Americans...!!
you speak Italian with the accent of an Italian American... CERTAINLY NOT A TRUE ITALIAN!!
@FairyWolfAndDuckling I know, I was just criticizing the cliché below the choice of the words ;) I just wish people had enough imagination to think of other phrases than "pizza" for Italian, "escargots" for French or "madre de Dios" for Spanish. I may have gotten a little too touchy about the subject, but it hurts me to be labelled as a "loud, passional pasta-eater" just because I was born in Italy or just because my mother tongue is a Latin-based language. I meant no offence to anybody.
I'm Italian, and every time I listen to English people trying to imitate the Italian accent, I always get the feeling that they don't really pick up the difference between Spanish and Italian... Amy's accent is very "Latino" (if you get what I mean), but doesn't quite sound Italian. Don't imitate a foreign accent if you don't master the language. Stick to what you know. And btw: we don't say "Ciao bella" and "pizza" all the time. Enough with that!
@trashsetter ...precisely because she believes to give credibility to her false imitation of an accent. (but a true Italian understands it immediately.. and laughs!) 2
She does it beautifully and would totally pass if speaking to natives. You natives always get so angry when non-natives nail your accent. What the fuck is your problem? Stop being irrational and whining like a little bitch because non-Italians can imitate you.
@trashsetter I'm not Italian but have lived in Italy for some years and I thought the same, it's quite blatantly not a decent Italian accent, I doubt she's spent much time here. She misses out on the urge to end words with a vowel, the intonation has a cold even eastern European tone, not a warm bouncy Italian feel, her 'e' in bruschetta sounds like è rather than e, and the u sounded like an 'o' I didn't get what she said at first. Never heard anyone say ciao bella, and not many speak H in have.
I got an impromptu placement in an Italian role for a play at my friend's church and my Italian accent is about like super Mario. So I immediately go looking for assistance, and I get this! Thank you for giving real rips on how to do this accent because I got called to the role less than a week before the play! The other actor bailed! Thanks a lot!!!!
I disagree with all the comments that say learning how to speak a english with a native accent is pointless because it is extremely useful for acting and impov techniques! Thanks!
When you speak Italian. You really have to feel the passion in the language. Italian is not like American, you speak it daily regular basis without feeling. Italian is passion. And without passion you don´t exists. Ciao
@SteauaBucuresti I feel that to be such a stereotypical view of Italian.. It doesn't matter where you come from, everyone has their own preference when it comes to daily speech.. I lived in Italy shortly and people there constantly chopped up their phrases and where often in a rush to get their point across (Although I'm sure being in Rome definitely played a part in that aspect).. Besides, for me, every language is a language of passion =)
that's logic, english is not our language. How do you think an english people generally speak italian?... very bad, it souds ridiculous, like we listen in this video
@Dubailove1980 different people have different accent... my parents are sicilian (south of Italy) and i was born in Rome and i really don't have this accent!... i heard so many italians (who live in the north) having this "terrible" strong accent! xD... is not about coming from the South or the North of Italy ;)))
How about A little parody of 16 personality types? - If you have not understood: it is about Socionics - Come to my channel and type in the search engine of their codes: ENTP ISFP ESFJ INTJ ENFJ ISTJ ESTP INFP ESFP INTP ENTJ ISFJ ESTJ INFJ ENFP ISTP - you will see videos with these people!
this is not the ordinary stupid mock or stereotype about italians: this imitation is perfect! very good job! in generally italians really speak this way. by he way, i'm italian.
Purtroppo utube me le fa segmentare in 3 messaggi.
@VessielGavar and... the crap about "FEELING EVERY CONSONANT EVERY VOWEL" ... we don't have any orgasm while we speak...and we don't sing opera when we talk, we just speak our language which is based on syllables, while english is a language based on a phonetic unit of measurement called FOOT... so they have a different "rhythm". But ... yes Pizza Pasta and Berlusconi. He fucks on the table.
She pronounces the sentence "my name is amy wokker" in the american way... an italian speaking english would say "WOLKERRR" pronouncing the L and emphasizing the final RR ... so actually it's not even really well done...
@VessielGavar Sì ok lo fa bene, ma io ho subito le ingiurie di mezzo mondo, dalla barzelletta i wanna fuck on the table and a shit on my bed... bla bla... al grido di "aaah from italy... so... Berlusconi and i wanna fuck on the table" quando io in inglese non ho quell'accento mostruoso, e vivendo all'estero con persone del sud italia mi sono resa che invece molti di loro trasportano la loro cadenza pari sull'inglese... cerchiamo di fare informazione... WE DO NOT ALL SPEAK LIKE THAT -.-'
She pronounces Pizza and Bruschetta in a way that make me feel ready for a suicide, but she's right: we pronounce EVERY single letter, no matter how long it is...:) :)
Sorry to tell that the stereotyped italian accent in english is based on speakers emigrated from the southern Italy .... mostly from Naples ... if u pick an italian coming from somewhere else, he will have of course an accent but it won't be this accent. The italian language and accents really change through all Italy.
You have to go all the way. Oh, I would.

Dubailove1980 2 months ago
@Dubailove1980 different people have different accent... my parents are sicilian (south of Italy) and i was born in Rome and i really don't have this accent!... i heard so many italians (who live in the north) having this "terrible" strong accent! xD... is not about coming from the South or the North of Italy ;)))

He fucks on the table.
zazzolina 4 months ago 2
She pronounces the sentence "my name is amy wokker" in the american way... an italian speaking english would say "WOLKERRR" pronouncing the L and emphasizing the final RR ... so actually it's not even really well done...
zazzolina 4 months ago
