i was considering getting the msi xslim 340 or 350 but just found out that it dont play games good has intel graphics and this one beats it like by alot just not liking the batterie there saying it sucks on the 230 the one im getting is 230-040 model

i see that the fan gets pretty loud just found out that its 64 bit i neeed 64 bit machine

@tech0007 Its louder then most netbooks and intel CULV laptops, but its still OK. You only get loud fan buzzing when doing cpu/gpu intensive stuff

@tech0007 I'd say that 96% of all 2gb DDR2 SO-DIMM ram modules would work fine with this laptop. Just make sure its either 667mhz or 800mhz.

Wow, i just got a new hp 311 with windows 7 /2gs and i cant even play regular counter strike with decent Fps i get around 15-25 fps. This is way better. i hope u set windows 7 on dual core mode in "msconfig " under boot/ advance option

@vodka4six I dont think you have to change any settings to use the second core. The 3Dmark 2006 score is high, much higher then single cores.

Ziet er best goed uit zeg, had ik niet verwacht! Waar kun je de U230 kopen? Ik ben alle webshops al langs gegaan en heb maar een enkele webshop gevonden en die had hem niet eens op voorraad! Mij lijkt een Dual Core trouwens ook lekker werken op een notebook van dat formaat :)

@DarkRappit01 I dont know where that you base that on. Every game runs perfectly. Only HL2:ep2 is a bit slower.

Even Bioshock and STALKER are running quite good on this little machine. ;-)

Yeah, I tested it already.

Stalker runs quite good with medium shader settings and totally smooth with low settings even with many enemies.

Only thing I changed is the RAM (I put low-latency dual channel RAM in).

jou camera is een stuk beter ;) Maar je kan er iig goed op gamen, team fortress 2 kan je zelfs bijna alles op high zetten en dan loopt het nog vloeiend. De 1201N kan dat echt niet. Jammer dat deze notebook zo onderbelicht blijft.
