There's a cool ghost town called Saint-Etienne in the Morbihan département of France. It is near Ile-et-Vilaine, not too far from Monteneuf. Someone could buy the whole place, those old stone houses are really neat. My French mother in law remembers when it was a real village. It is a priory. Uprated this.

honestly the reason they dont want people in there is because the buildings are contaminated with lead paint and asbestos dust. and it would cost too much to fix the problem or have a hazmat team tear the place down these places are every where and they are all a health risk to go near.

Norwhich State hospital.. I was very interested in your video can you believe this whole property was sold for one dollar. It has many underground tunnels from building to building. It may have been sight to some of the most horrific human suffering known to man. I doubt asbestos is the reason this place is closed I believe it is the abandonment of mental health as a treatable condition by american medical system.

I work in a mental health hospital in Australia. I'd guess that only about 15% of the buildings are still open (of about 60?). Many of them say "Danger asbestos, do not enter" etc, but the hospital is still up and running, with patients and nurses.

Just looks like an abondoned town.

This is Norwich State Hospital (Conneticut). It was used for the "insane" and the "psychiatric". It was also used for experimentation on human beings in the name of "research". It was closed in 1996 due to lack of funding from lack of "patients". Laws likely changed admissibility. There are tunnels linking many of the buildings (out of sight -out of mind). It has been abandoned for lack of decision on what to do with it.

And, yes, folks, it is most certainly haunted.

I live near there, it was once the Norwich State Hospital, and some really messed up stuff use to go on there when it was open, from what I hear. There is a building, through one of the windows you can see shackles on the wall. The only one I've been to when it was open (visiting..not staying..lol) is the newer one called the kettle building. It is a creepy place.
