@shortyjk95 No, because the material of the spring hans't gotten stiffer or stronger. This would actually be an effective way to fuck up an AEG, if you tried it on one.

@shortyjk95 I actually am quite experienced with airsoft upgrades. I've done a complete upgrade on 2 AEG's, so i should know a thing or two about it. Stretching the spring warps it, i would never use a stretched spring in any of my guns. High power springs aren't stretched, they are made of longer, stiffer steel wire.

@shortyjk95 They are actually right. Stretching it does nothing. If you stretch it out, you may have farther to push it in, but it will be easier to do so. The power stays the same. If anything, it makes it weaker because the spring isn't supposed to bend like that.

changing out the spring that pushes the upper receiver forward after cocking the gun has nothing to do with the power of the gun. now upgrading the spring guide form plastic to metal and spring in the piston will increase the overall fps

@NorthRaleighAirsoft u have no idea wat ur talkin about the more powerful the spring, the faster the piston moves forward and that means the more air gets pushed faster to propell the BB and the spring guide has nothing to do with it at all metal or spring and it will still be the same power.

@ganitywaltz well you have to it apart and look at the cocking mechanism so it doesn't fly everywhere when you take it apart and the swap the spring with a more powerful one and the put it back together carefully because sometime the cocking mechanism makes it hard but eventually you should get it. =D
