These two knobs right here are called potentioners and one is responsible for controlling how strong the claw closes and the other one is responsible for controlling how fast the claw closes or how slow the claw closes. @claudiofcj (continued) ... If there's more expensive prizes for example these can be adjusted to be weaker and vice versa they can be adjusted to be stronger. This is definitely an important aspect of playing the claw game and a good way to get a look of this is watch someone else play first and you'll be able to tell how fast the claw closes and how strong the claw closes based upon their play.

i like the one where the crane games are adjacent to each other. I pick the toy that's close to the shoot and instead of using the claw in the same booth as the toy, i use the one next to it as i can 'clip ' the toy with the claw to be lifted then fall staright into the shoot.

I went to the glos fare today and won 7 plush toys!

@matt3756 Another problem with newer machines is that you do not get the option to move the claw back and forth freely. For example, the claw will move left/right until you hit the button, then will move back/forth. Timing again is crucial on these machines. I've even seen some that time you get timed on, and if you're not done in that time, the claw re-sets and you've lost your chance...

Dude. That machine must be on 100% pay out your claw. A British arcade claw machine NEVER ever plays or pays like a American machine. Plus the fact a British arcade claw only lets you move the claw for a lousy 3-4 seconds then it goes down. They also never grip to allow a win. I wasted £28 in an experiment to show that claw machines are as bent as a £6 pound note.

Sorry to say, but these arcade machines are rigged, the claw just drop the toy when you pick up the plush toy, the only good machines are the candy machines because they have a scoop and is easy to scoop up. Don't try and win the plush toy ones.
