Anyway, while I liked PB, it didn't make sense that these darkness-loving aliens managed to become the dominant species on a planet with three suns. For a character who's familiar with death, Vin Diesel acted pretty well. If you spend most of your adult life as a murderer, avoiding capture, I'm sure you'll have very few emotions left and the ones you can hold on to, you would hide to stay out of capture. He knows what works and never believed he was out of control of the situation. Vin's a "badass" plain and simple, making it easy to play that character.

These people are clearly insane. Vin Diesel rocks - pure BADASSERY! - and I have watched that film over a million times. Mindless action and people getting torn in half FTW! :D

The whole point of cgi is to do the parts that are hard to do so they have to use computers and try to make it seem as realistic as possiable. I'm surprised no-one mentioned the relatively small budget this movie was made with, for it's production value it was damn impressive. Also, almost no-one knew who Vin Diesel was at that point and there's a lot of 'I'm tired of Vin Diesel" feeling in the reviewers here.

Each dream was different depending on the object. They never got raped. Whenever they were just talking was actual conversation, but she sees them all as whores, basically because everyone finds them worthless (i think.) and you only see reality in the very beginning and the very end.

@SirHolme Indeed. Pitch Black is a very well made film, for its budget especially. Great premise as well. Inspired by cicada which spend up to 15 years or more underground before emerging for a few days to screw and make babies before dying.

@SirHolme Indeed. Pitch Black is a very well made film, for its budget especially. Great premise as well. Inspired by cicada which spend up to 15 years or more underground before emerging for a few days to screw and make babies before dying.
