This video is misleading. I would cite a Thesis by Michelle R. Savigny DVM titled Use of Oseltamivir in the Treatment of Canine Parvoviral Enteritis. Vaccinate with a high titered vaccine as a preventative.
I made a cup of puppy milk, kayro syrup 1/3 cup, honey 2 tbsp, 6 crushed tums & a crushed B12 vit. give 1/4 syringe at first every 2 hours. On 3rd day up to 1/2 syringe every 2 hours. Warm it under hot water, they take it better. Anytime they potty you MUST bleach and clean right away!! Its HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS!! The spores can live in your home for 6 WEEKS. You can give baby aspirin for pain. My chihuahua weighed 1 pound and lost alot of weight, but he is doin GREAT now, he is happy and healthy
yeah Fuck Bitches THEY DONT SHOW MUCH CARE the parvo test takes about 10 mins for results the earlier you get them the worse They didnt come back with his results till like 30 minutes I ask them how long did it take they said as soon as she walked out OMFG you coulodnt come right back you seriuosly had to wait in an EMERGENCy then they ask me if I wanted to hospital lize him it was $1200 I told them no so It was sleep or take him home with the meds I didnt want him to die without a last chance
to all animal lovers If you see any symptoms in your dog take him to the vet immedatly I waited with Killer till the 3rd day were he got worse you dont wan tto waste money for nothing personally I dont care about the $ I lost the best pet I ever had. If you cant afford a vet go to an animal shelter they are way better they do it for the love of animals they have the same meds most show more love to dogs then vets. When I took Killer to VCA I was there for 1hr&half I took him in as emergency
I realize my baby was gone R.I.P. Killer I also have his brother he was not showing any symptoms of parvo till the yesterday a day after he brother died. since i didnt get to use the medication only a little bit of the fluids Im giving his brother the medication. He still doesnt eat, yesterday he ate some rice and a bit of his dog food and he had diarrahe but it wasnt bloody today we gave him the pills and some fluid we are going to also get the tamiflu for him
My puppy Killer died yesterday He had parvo. I took him to the vet on monday the day before he died, and I payed $400 for 2 shots one of amoxicillin and famotidine then 500mg of fluids, then amoxicillin pills, famotidine pills, and cerenia pills. My boy died at 7am , I was told to give him the medication along with fluids in the morning he died like 2 minutes after I got up. He was breathing heavy and I got his medication and he seem calmed I injected him with the fluids
@DeanMartin1231 Thank you - that makes my day, it is nice to hear something nice. I just wish I could do more and help persuade these veterinarians to try Tamiflu for parvo. There is nothing to loose except an innocent life.
My Dog just died this morning because of parvo... Rest in peace dog... now my other dog is infected with parvo too and i'm scared if my Retriever will be infected by it too... I need the cure now before it's to late!!!
hie... i have a 3 months old lahsa apso pup.. she's suffering from severe vomiting since today....i ws having another lahsa which died ystrday because of parvo virus insteed of taking him to vet n giving him all d medical attention. The one which is still wid me hs been given drip from last two days and i ws asked not to feed her anything.... she is starving... i need ur immediate help... plz i don't want to loose my 2nd baby.... plz help me urgently...
my puppy chuahuahua named Crackers has parvo.we just found out this morning.so far we spent about 250 dollars after two vists to the vet.they gave him two shots that gave him the fluids he needed.should i let him recover on his own or keep going to the vet?i realy want him to live but we dont have much money left.
@FmAFrEaK1000 Try colliodal silver. A lot of people have had success with it. Let me know and I hope Crackers gets better soon. That was the name of my Granny's dog!
have had 6 puppies in vet for 9 days--- I am now left with one-- and I know the emergency room visit for one nite was 2000.00 --no telling whatt the 8 days of vet bills will be for 6 puppies-- they havent mentioned a word& i havent asked, nor will i -i have brought the pups home@nite& gave liquids/nutracal every 2 hrs-- (they are on iv fluids w dextrose& had nausea meds/antibiotics (bactrin- i think he said--but IT IS A HORRIBLE DISEASE!! to watch&worst smell in world--the spores live in home6YR
Myxer babi ¥$ died of parvo yesterday the vets did nothing but leave him intill his poop and vomit :,(I suggested tamiflue hes said it wouldnt work I shown him many websites and still hes said no I hope the vet drizzy
Just lost my dog this morning to the parvo disease. Vet tried everything possibly to save "Bobby". He will be missed and my children will miss him to. He was a major part of my family. Bobby was 8 months old.
Hi, I hope you see this message. My dog (she is 1 year old)) has been diagnosed with parvo since 3 days, she is on IV fluids, antibiotics etc. Can I still give her the tamiflu?, thank you very much and I will appreciate your answer.
I'm trying to help my best friend's dog who started having parvo yesterday. I looked up information about parvo and it sounds terrible. I knew her dog since it was little and i don't want to afford to lose a good companion. I hope we don't lose him...
Wish I found this 4 days ago. My brother took his dog to a vet and in 1 day he seemed like he was getting better. That vet closed and he had to take the dog to a different one. Once there, they left him alone, dirty in his feces and throw up and didn't clean him until we got there the next day. Two days and two thousand dollars later, Takota died. We sense negligence and simply not giving a damn on the part of the clinic. Tell tale sign of el paso texas. People just don't give a damn here
I lost both my dogs within 2 weeks, due to parvo :( It's is really, really, heart wrenching :( The 2 nd dog seemed to be getting better, as I was literally staying up all hours giving him pedialyte, parvo tea, and baby food every hour. He even got iv fluids, antibiotics, and nausea meds from the vet. He passed away in his sleep this morning. My other dog, went last week. It's the most horrible feeling ever.
my dog died of parvo.. and now i have a puppy that got parvo berly yesterday and it dont look to well i heard peilyte helps them so im giving him that for now with some yogurt. apart...and my dog is only 3 months old.. so if anyone gets a new dog make sure you get them the parvol as soon as possible especially rite now in the summer
i just lost MIKEE today. he had signs of parvo. at first we ddn't thnk it ws it snce he had already been through it when he ws 2 mos. it ws late b4 we can run him to a vet. we couldn't afford the a vet because of our financial problem. but now i regret so much not trying the hardest way to get him a professional help it ws fast he was ill for 3 days and on the 4th and 5th day he was getting well. it turned upside down on 6th. and on 7th it was too late for my baby. i'm ashamed being his owner.
@09prinncesz I am so sorry for your loss. Please don't be so hard on yourself. If you read the comments you'll see many people hospitalize their dogs and they still don't get better. It's a horrible disease you did your best. I'm sure Mikee was very happy and lucky to have you as an owner.
so guys my dog was sick for 4 days from parvo so tamiflu wasnt an option, if u guys are in the same predicament i highly suggest getting parvaid and vibactrin..just google it..i used it and my dog has been eating by herself now and back to her happy active self :)
my dog once had parvo,i desolved 7 extra strength tylonal and used a surrenge to force it down his throat and in 2 days he got well.im not saying thats what saved him but the parvo symptom went away.i just wanted to share that.
my puppy is almost three months old and is a shih zhu he is currently on his 5th days of battling parvo he is hospitilized on IV and antibiotics. the vet said it lasts 9-10 days im so worried he might not make it. the vet says he is vomitting periodically and has diarrhea hes been in the hospital for 2 days now i fed him pedialyte, and baby food, i kept him warm with his blanket im also worried about the f-strain parvo i was wondering if you knew the survival rate at this point?
@yanitza90 I'm so sorry you're puppy is that sick. It seems like it is a 50-50 sitaution at his point. You just never know. I am sending healing thoughts to your baby.
yes this method does work, and will cure the dog. BUT!! this method is also VERY VERY (((BAD))) for the vets bank account, so you will also hav to take your dog to the vet and spend a VERY LARGE amount of money so you dont get any one mad at your cheating ways, REPENT!
My pup who is a olde english bulldog was put to sleep today she had a disease i saw her when she went to the vet she barf out blood 2 feet of barf then we have to go to a different vet so we had to put hur to sleep i felt so bad because it was only 3 months RIP 2/2/11 WE WILL REMEMBER YOUUUU
@BigRichieRichas lol. gas..hmm.. will what goerge lopez says is that ya use 7up 2 drink and vick to rub for da dog lol. j/k. never try gas, but dumb shit vet charge too much. if u visit with vet u looking @ $100 plus. 2 much for treatment. plus dog might die. happen to me in 07. left with tears and 3k bill.
I would say to try this method if your only option is to put the dog down because of expense of treatment for parvo at a vet. If you CAN afford it, take your precious family member to a vet. Don't just use this method to experiment on your dog. This disease kills quick and painfully. It's not a nice way to perish.
@USFA45LC This is not an experiment and can't be gotten without a prescription. You clearly don't know anything about it. This is actually the latest in veterinary care. You still have to go to a vet.
im a mexican. my gandma is from mexico an when a dog gets parvo there, they rub gas on it's belly with a red rag they do say to use a red work rag yall know the ones i mean.but rub it from the chest down in to the thighs rub well an i swear this works!
@BigRichieRichcas That's the craziest thing I've ever heard! Please no offense to your Grandma intended. Gasoline is poison and burns the skin. The fumes are toxic. I don't advise this, any good result you've gotten from this treatment are purely coincidental.
The problem here is that not all the vet will be agree with this, and also will tell you "how was the one that study for be a veterinarian" " I know which one is the treatment and is not Tamiflu", sadly some vet don't want to try something new.
I agree. Many vets won't do anything new, especially when it doesn't make them any money. In a big city, like where I live you just find another vet. The sad thing is that in a small town, you may not have many vets to choose from. @elizrosado
@cors1er u have to still go to the vet and get prescription by vet and u have to leave ur dog at the vet still once being treated. vet quote me like 3days it's about little more than 2k but that time i didn't know about tamiflu
Yes you have to go to the vet to get a positive diagnosis and prescription for Tamiflu. Than you can take the dog home and treat him, depending on how sick he is. Most get dramatically better by the second day. @mengvue1
Anyone with a puppy who has parvo please dip your shoes in a shallow bleach bath and spray with Lysol. Us humans carry it and spread it every where when we leave our homes and don't realize it. That is how we got it a week ago. My daughters friend at school had a puppy that died of Parvo the same day I noticed our almost 6 week old St. Bernard puppies were sick. I emmediately started them on Parvaid with Vibactra plus. It really works if you are diligent. My pups are all good now thank God...
Parvaid saved my puppies along with pedialyte, chicken liver and all natural vibactra plus. Parvaid given once an hour untill puppies eat or drink. It's nice to have someone who helps with the night shift's. Puppies caught early enough almost always make it. The testimonials are great online. Even to have on hand and given at first signs of puppy tummy troubles is a great idea. It's all natural and won't hurt puppy and really works Enemas are a must for dehydration and natural DE works for worms
@melyssacali HI MELY I LIVE IN DALLAS TEXAS . I HAD A LITTER OF 8 PITBULL PUPPIES AND 2 DIED OF PARVO . WE SEPARATE THE 2 INFECTED ONES 5 DAYS AGO . THEY DIED TODAY AND THE OTHER 6 HAVE SYMPTOMS AND I PURCHASED THE PARVAID AND VIBACTRA PLUS AND WAS WONDERING HOW OFTEN YOU WERE GIVEN THEM THE MEDICINE.
PLEASE PLEASE REPLY TO ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE I REALLY APRECCIATE IT.
@yoursweetpea1 - Hi, I'm so sorry about the parvo. You are going to want to give the parvaid every hour until they eat or drink on their own. Also, Pedialyte is a must for dehydration. For REALLY dehydrated pups you'll want to get a walgreens children syringe and administer in the 'rear'. It can save them by doing this because the dehydration is what kills them, usually. Worms can prevent parvo pups from healing too. You can't use chemical de-wormers but you can use Diatomaceous Earth.
On the Vibactra Plus (natural antibiotic) I think it's twice a day. Parvaid once an hour! I know that seems a lot. The night time can be REALLY hard! but until they desire food or thirst for water they need that Parvaid as much as possible. When they throw it up give another dropper full of the Parvaid right away. wolf creek dot org is an informative website. Also, I know my neighbor bought an antibiotic from a farm and feed store. They worked for her very well and her puppy pulled through.
g2 has lesser sugar than regular gatorade, but not forcing anyone to do anything. my only advice is if u dont have 3k to spend at the vet. u should just give my way a try but u need to know how to mix it.
I am saddened by the lost of my beagle Hunter. I wish I had known this earlier and caught it. He just passed away today and I missed him so much. Crying...I got so attached to him. My brother's dog had Parvo in the past and I regret taking Hunter to his house because Hunter was just 5 months old. Biggest mistake I've made. Thanks for the info, planning to get a beagle again, but will never make the same mistake. Good luck with every owner who has a dog with Parvo.
my dog just survived parvo + distemper. What worked for her: I forced her to drink every hour (pedialyte), forced her to eat(blended boiled chicken+pedialyte), gave her antibiotics(morning and evening),after 3 days of illness I gave her 1 tablespoon of vodka, and the MOSt important - our family prayed for her!!!!!
I'm sorry to hear of all these puppies with parvo, but just a reminder that is preventable with a vaccine. Puppies usually get a series of 3-4 vaccines from ages 6-8 weeks to about 16 weeks old. The vaccines usually cost less than 30 dollars, much less than treating parvo virus and having to see your puppy get so sick!
That's a good point in theory. The truth is many of the puppies who get parvo get it because of vaccination or had already been vaccinated. When a tiny puppy is vaccinated, it is injected with the virus and if it isn't perfectly healthy to begin with it will get sick. I saw 25 vaccinated puppies get parvo and distemper. Many died. @fosterdboss1
pedialyte and gatorade both will work. every vet u visit will tell u some different. trust me my first pup i had 4yrs ago die from parvo. pay 2k for 3 night and he die. they said use pedialyte. my new pup got parvo. this vet said use only water. nothing esle. but i went ahead and use g2 and bleach
DO NO GIVE DOGS GATORADE!!! Pedialyte is the way to go. Gatorade has sugar and salt and the sugar and salt takes away water from your dog. Check out this vid for more on parvo.... /watch?v=VWs2lg8a7YE
I have a 8 week old chihuahua puppy named Gary. He started vomiting and had diarrhea since yesterday. I took him to the doctor today and they said he has parvo. I'm really scared for him. The doctor put him on IV and gave me a prescription for Tamiflu. I got the prescription and CVS and brought it back to the doctors. He will be there over night. I really really hope the Tamiflu works.
Your vet did exactly the right thing. I really think it will work. Please let me know how Gary is doing and if you have any questions do hesitate to ask. I'm thinking about you. @theglobalbulletin
Most of the dogs die from dehydration. They can't drink water because they have all the mucus and bubbles coming up their throat.. using a plastic syringe( no needle) mix a couple of teaspoons of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR in an 8 oz cup and give it to them through the syringe.- The next morning my dog was restored to perfect health TRUE STORY . what helped most is that we prayed.
@crazybrownloko yea man that is pretty fucked up that you have dogs with no fucking money to take proper care of them. Those puppies lives are on your hands and you cant do shit about it. At least go to the vet and have them euthanized you sick fuck!!!!! God i hope you die.
I USED FRESH SQUEEZED LEMON JUICE. I GAVE MY DOG ONE SHOT OF LEMON. (ALCOHOL SHOT GLASS) IN THE MOUTH. ONE IN THE MORNING AND ONE IN THE NIGHT. PARVO GONE
All you say is true. My puppy got the parvo, but the tamiflu was expensive for me,so I was sure it was a strong medication for the flu, so I had "peniciline" at home. I have 500 mg capsules. What I did was to give the puppy one eighth of the capsule with gatorade. I force the puppy to drink it, it was arronud 11 in the night. Next day in the morning it was hungry and tirsty. I repeat it until the puppy took 1 1/2 capsule it took 1 1/2 days MY PUPPY HAS BEEN CURE OF PARVO ! Thank you !!!
her poop had bloody stool that is bad shape. vet anti inject and my way g2 mix with small amount of bleach did it for me this time and vet also told these anti given to me r weaker then the one they use in the vet. she wine to me for the first as she wanted out i could say she was doing better and she ate too only feed her alilo to c if she can hold it in.
vet told me i need to keep her there 1day is 712 and day2 is 1018 too much. so vet gave me a plan home care they gave me so anti to inject the vet also told me she was really bad and might need 4bag anti. tonite is 2nd nite she eating so thats good. still was giving her bleach with g2 i thinks thats y she heal alot faster
4yrs ago i pup die from parvo. spent like almost 2k @vet for him didnt make it. now my new female has parvo and i got another male he not sick. think i am crazy but i mix bleach in water so he never got parvo but female is getting sicker
omg does this really work? my puppy just got it and i have another dog and im afraid he might get it as well...the vet is really expensive 165 a day just to keep him there i really appreciate this video thankyou so much
My two lil puppies got parvo it's really messed up when I see them I don't got money to save them it's really fucked up :/..hope parvo ain't a painfull death.
Well don't give up. Try to help them recover. There are a lot of great comments on this page with tips for good nursing care. Many dogs do recover. Good luck, I'm thinking of you, let me know how they do. @crazybrownloko
@crazybrownloko Parvo is like the worse death a dog can get, the virus completely destroys the inside of their stomachs and kills the dog very slowly through dehydration also the dog feels alot of pain in the stomach and will throw up blood or poop blood.
hi my puppy has jus been diagnose with parvo. WHEN i use tamiflu to treat my puppy how do i do it. how will i know when its okay to stop giving it to him. also how will i know if i have given him too much
I don't know where you are, but most towns have 24 hour emergency clinics. There is really nothing more you can do, except keep him clean and warm and as comfortable as you can. @minnie840
@minnie840 go to the vet it might cost $600-$1200 , for this but If you are capable of paying it , Even though theres a 50/50 chance he might die, I just took mine yesterday.
luckily My dog recovered! :) he was already at the point where he wasnt getting up any more and i thought he was almost going to die soon but I gave my dog unflavored pedilyte all night long constantly, even if he didnt want to take it i used something to put it inside kind of like a small pump
also i slipped in a small dose of keflex antibiotic every couple of hours
and hes better than ever. That was my emergency way of curing my dog from this horrible virus
@minnie840 Most of the dogs die from dehydration. They can't drink water because they have all the mucus and bubbles coming up their throat.. using a plastic syringe( no needle) mix a couple of teaspoons of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR in an 8 oz cup and give it to them through the syringe.- The next morning my dog was restored to perfect health TRUE STORY . what helped most is that we prayed.
hey thanx for the video,i was wondering since i have a pitbull pup who is 7 weeks and had his first vaccination for parvo like 5 days ago and i brought to my house like 3 days ago and we bleached the backyard and he hasnt had the symptoms is there a way he might fight through it,and if not will tamiflu help him and what is his chance with tamiflu..and where can someone buy tamiflu, please comment back asap.
my dog is under observation she is now confinne at the vet clinic , she is suffering from parvo virus. 4 days after nothing change before i confine her. she can stand now but malnourished but she can eat. what can i do for her?
@edia05 I feel deeply sorry for you! My little guy is doing better! I have had a loved puppy to die from Parvo! :( It still hurts to think about it.:(
petcarevideos@ thnx...and my puppy was 2 months and weighted 17 pounds, he was a beautiful husky...sadly I watched this video too late or else I Wud of tried timiflu
My dog Dooley got ill on Wednesday. We took him to the vet on Thursday. He had Parvo! My vet wrote a prescription for Tami-Flu that we had to go and get our self.It cost about $35. She started the Tami-Flu on Thursday.Friday afternoon Dooley was a different puppy and we took him home on Saturday! Tami-Flu shorten his stay at the vet and saved us a lot of money!
Yay! I think I am in love with your vet!! Ok - other veterinarians out there, take note. Tamiflu works! I'm so happy for you and your puppy. @cowboyhippie
5 of my puppies caught parvo. They are a month and a few weeks. We took them to the vet and the dr said they could not get any shots until they are two months.. 3 of them have died from it and the other two are still fighting it...=(..This sucks...
the Emergency Vets here where i live recommended Tami-Flu and offered either admission to the ER over night for a week and be given IV fluids or take her home and administer the IV fluids myself to keep her hydrated. We went for the more expensive option, but if we had done just the tamiflu and the iv fluids ourselves it would have been maybe a quarter the cost. The 5 day supply of Tami-Flu they gave us was only $75 (i say only because thats pretty cheap compared to the rest of her care)
Great information. I really appreciate the fact that your vet prescribed Tamiflu. Many vets won't for whatever reason. I assume that your dog survived the Parvo. Thank you for adding your comment. @Hectortuba155817
It isn't as rare as you think among newly vaccinated puppies. I've seen at least 30 get sick and many of those died after their first parvo shot. @sonio67
We tried everything on my little puppy.. ivs he spent sevral days at the hospital spent 700 dollers, got him parvid and pedilite but nothing worked...today June 25 Kobe died: (.... just to point out I think his first shot for parvo had to do much with it.
I am so sorry for your loss. I know you did everything you could .I'm curious to know how old he was and how much did he weigh when they vaccinated him? @edia05
@edia05 I am so sorry! :( My dog Dooley got Parvo after his 1st shots too. He only stayed at the Vet for 2 days thanks for the Tami-Flu! I have had other dogs die for Parvo, and I have never seen a dog recover so fast! I think parvaid is a load of crap! If it was so great vets would be using it!
Today June 25 my little Kobe died of parvovirous..we tried everything spent more than 700 dollors on him we also tried parvid and pedilite but nothing worked :((.... just to point out something I think his first vaccination for parvo had to do much with it .
If your going to own a pet be responsible, KNOW THEY ARE NOT CHEAP! Without going off on a rant about the ppl I see every day who can't afford to care for a living creature they choose to take responsibility for. So THINK before you get ANY pet, Pls and thank you
Hey Lisa, i spent over $4,000 at my vet treating my puppy tank for 5 days. :(
They did not even cure him.... I am not treating tank at home myself with Parvaid by Amber Techs. Should i stop using Amber Tech and get him some Tamiflu? and i heard you need a prescription how can i get it?
Continue treating him at home with parvaid and be sure he is eating. At this point it is too late for Tamiflu. You have to start that within the first 2 days of the disease for it to help. Yes, it is a prescription. You have to have a vet write it for you. @on3sayjon
Hi, I have Tamiflu capsules 75mg. My do will not swallow the capsule, so i will have to open it up and mix it with Pedialyte. He is a 3 month old, 15-18lbs pittbull. Should i give him the whole capsule? Thanks.
@care4yu No don't give the whole capsule the dosage is just one mg per pound. You would give him about 1/4 of it. Mix it with a little something like baby food.
@care4yu hey wer can i get these pills ? my puppy jus got parvo im so sad idk wut to do.. im jus giving him pills that the vet gave me and pedialyte..plz tell me wer to get these pills
our pup(sheldon)was vaccinated by the breeders at 6 weeks of age!got him when he was 7 weeks old and 2days later throwing up but bowels where good so we thought grass, new food, etc so we made the mistake of going 48 hours later after symptoms.tested postive parvo and vet said weshould puthim down!! i said if it were me i rather be in pain and fight then give up so 3 vet trips $600 and 5 days later he was great! we took him in everyday for 3 days to get i.v. and nausia shot and home water/babyfood
@dase4321 yes unfortunately he passed away yesterday, after being hospitalized for 7 days and I can't still believe he died , when I had him he was only throwing up , but then the veterinarian said he would have bloody diarrhea, and vomiting, but can explain how he wouldn't survive, a waste of money, and I don't know if he was treated in good conditions.
@magdalenojuan that sucks sorry to hear that. i have heard that leaving them there could be a bad thing cause the dogs survival depends on itself but alot of it is human interaction as well and the vets cant really cover doing that. i had to stay awake for 96 hours with very little sleep maybe 10 hours in all but still very sorry this disease sucks!!!
@dase4321 omg I was going to say the same thing I would've been visiting him so he could feel familiarized , I feel so bad, but i had those thoughts, he could've gotten better if he saw me
@magdalenojuan yeah i kinda thought the same thing but wasnt for sure if it helped for the dog to be home because keeping him at the vet would of cost 1000 to 2000 a night so i thought that would be the best but now if i get a pup with parvo im just going to the vet for the i.v. and nausia shot and take it home for baby food and force watering and watching it for hours on end. but dont beat yourself up i would have done the same as you if i could afford it.
@dase4321 when I came to the vet I came for all the shots he needed , but idk why out of nowhere they examined his pop and diagnosed parvo, and i told him I wanted to put him some shots but said not until he was better
@magdalenojuan well i understand if they were talking about his vaccine shots but a nausea shot is just to stop them from feeling so sick and the i.v. for hydration they should of at least gave him those. did they not give hm those 2 things?
@lLuriiam I am so sorry for you and everyone who has written to tell me they lost a puppy to parvo. Many times there is nothing you can do. My question to you and others who have lost puppies is when/did you vaccinate your puppy. I find that many dogs who are vaccinated develop the disease within 3-21 days of the vaccination. I am interested in hearing from anyone who has had this experience because I am finding in many cases it is the shot that leads to the disease.
Thanks for letting me know about this. I hope your puppy is ok. I do find that if a puppy is young and small they have a much harder time taking shots without a serious reaction. Many vets will only use half the dose on tiny puppies. I think this is a good idea.
Hey my pitbull 5 months 20lbs has parvovirus I found out yesterday, but he hasent been eating since Sunday, iv been giving him 12ml of pedialite every hour, cuz that's what the vet sad, but should I give him more, also iv been giving him peptobismol, about 2ml can u give me advice also how much Tami flu should I give him, in ml??? And he dosent want to eat, what should I give him, because he's very skinny
Hi I got a 2 pund chiwawa mix 15 month old female thats got parvo. I also have tami flu in my cabniete and have been administering pedialite and water half /and half solution 30 cc every 30 min also a little chicken broth if she feels up to it. can u tell me how much tamiflu to give her? its in pill form best I can do
Just took my new pup to vet this morning and found out he has Parvo and also Anemia - he is 2 months, too young for any disease i believe , i have been google-ing all day - I hope he gets well soon - we have to take him to vet every morning and evening for 5 days- =[
Does a puppy die when he suffers from parvo - and also anemia ?? i am so worried - anyways thanks for the video - If any of you have knowledge please share it with me - Thanks in advance !
@TheMiastube I'm sorry your puppy is sick. He certainly could die from this. It would be good if you could get him on Tamiflu right away. The problem is most vets won't prescribe it. Just keep him hydrated and as the person below says, colloidial silver may help. Good luck.
I used colloidial silver(every 12 hours) and probiotics (once a day)and 50 50 pediea lite and water mix(every hour) to hydrate y parvo puppy and now she is doing great!!!
I will share this video everywhere as I think - I know it is something that everyone needs to know ! The most sure way of course is for people to vaccinate against it in the first place but as many do not ! :( Thank you so much for this information. I will be getting this information out to countries like Greece and Romania where they have a huge parvo problem !
what's the generic for temaflu?

I'm trying to help my best friend's dog who started having parvo yesterday. I looked up information about parvo and it sounds terrible. I knew her dog since it was little and i don't want to afford to lose a good companion. I hope we don't lose him...
lonewolfen135 5 months ago
Wish I found this 4 days ago. My brother took his dog to a vet and in 1 day he seemed like he was getting better. That vet closed and he had to take the dog to a different one. Once there, they left him alone, dirty in his feces and throw up and didn't clean him until we got there the next day. Two days and two thousand dollars later, Takota died. We sense negligence and simply not giving a damn on the part of the clinic. Tell tale sign of el paso texas. People just don't give a damn here

yes this method does work, and will cure the dog. BUT!! this method is also VERY VERY (((BAD))) for the vets bank account, so you will also hav to take your dog to the vet and spend a VERY LARGE amount of money so you dont get any one mad at your cheating ways, REPENT!

mengvue1 11 months ago
I would say to try this method if your only option is to put the dog down because of expense of treatment for parvo at a vet. If you CAN afford it, take your precious family member to a vet. Don't just use this method to experiment on your dog. This disease kills quick and painfully. It's not a nice way to perish.
USFA45LC 1 year ago
@USFA45LC This is not an experiment and can't be gotten without a prescription. You clearly don't know anything about it. This is actually the latest in veterinary care. You still have to go to a vet.

@petcarevideos - thank you for clarifying that! because you clearly know...

BigRichieRichcas 1 year ago
@BigRichieRichcas That's the craziest thing I've ever heard! Please no offense to your Grandma intended. Gasoline is poison and burns the skin. The fumes are toxic. I don't advise this, any good result you've gotten from this treatment are purely coincidental.
petcarevideos 1 year ago 2
The problem here is that not all the vet will be agree with this, and also will tell you "how was the one that study for be a veterinarian" " I know which one is the treatment and is not Tamiflu", sadly some vet don't want to try something new.
elizrosado 1 year ago
I agree. Many vets won't do anything new, especially when it doesn't make them any money. In a big city, like where I live you just find another vet. The sad thing is that in a small town, you may not have many vets to choose from. @elizrosado
petcarevideos 1 year ago
@cors1er u have to still go to the vet and get prescription by vet and u have to leave ur dog at the vet still once being treated. vet quote me like 3days it's about little more than 2k but that time i didn't know about tamiflu
mengvue1 1 year ago

My pups are all good now thank God...
melyssacali 1 year ago

GOD BLESS YOU!!
yoursweetpea1 10 months ago
@yoursweetpea1 - Hi, I'm so sorry about the parvo. You are going to want to give the parvaid every hour until they eat or drink on their own. Also, Pedialyte is a must for dehydration. For REALLY dehydrated pups you'll want to get a walgreens children syringe and administer in the 'rear'. It can save them by doing this because the dehydration is what kills them, usually. Worms can prevent parvo pups from healing too. You can't use chemical de-wormers but you can use Diatomaceous Earth.
melyssacali 10 months ago
On the Vibactra Plus (natural antibiotic) I think it's twice a day. Parvaid once an hour! I know that seems a lot. The night time can be REALLY hard! but until they desire food or thirst for water they need that Parvaid as much as possible. When they throw it up give another dropper full of the Parvaid right away. wolf creek dot org is an informative website. Also, I know my neighbor bought an antibiotic from a farm and feed store. They worked for her very well and her puppy pulled through.
melyssacali 10 months ago
g2 has lesser sugar than regular gatorade, but not forcing anyone to do anything. my only advice is if u dont have 3k to spend at the vet. u should just give my way a try but u need to know how to mix it.

Advice: WATCH THIS VIDEO.

DyKayaya 1 year ago
I'm sorry to hear of all these puppies with parvo, but just a reminder that is preventable with a vaccine. Puppies usually get a series of 3-4 vaccines from ages 6-8 weeks to about 16 weeks old. The vaccines usually cost less than 30 dollars, much less than treating parvo virus and having to see your puppy get so sick!
fosterdboss1 1 year ago
That's a good point in theory. The truth is many of the puppies who get parvo get it because of vaccination or had already been vaccinated. When a tiny puppy is vaccinated, it is injected with the virus and if it isn't perfectly healthy to begin with it will get sick. I saw 25 vaccinated puppies get parvo and distemper. Many died. @fosterdboss1

pedialyte and gatorade both will work. every vet u visit will tell u some different. trust me my first pup i had 4yrs ago die from parvo. pay 2k for 3 night and he die. they said use pedialyte. my new pup got parvo. this vet said use only water. nothing esle. but i went ahead and use g2 and bleach
mengvue1 1 year ago
@mengvue1 Correction : only pedialyte gatorade has too much sugar and salt resulting in a quicker dehydration
Arbitor2 1 year ago
DO NO GIVE DOGS GATORADE!!! Pedialyte is the way to go. Gatorade has sugar and salt and the sugar and salt takes away water from your dog. Check out this vid for more on parvo.... /watch?v=VWs2lg8a7YE

@edia05
petcarevideos 1 year ago
@edia05 I am so sorry! :( My dog Dooley got Parvo after his 1st shots too. He only stayed at the Vet for 2 days thanks for the Tami-Flu! I have had other dogs die for Parvo, and I have never seen a dog recover so fast! I think parvaid is a load of crap! If it was so great vets would be using it!

Should i stop using Amber Tech and get him some Tamiflu? and i heard you need a prescription how can i get it?
on3sayjon 1 year ago
Continue treating him at home with parvaid and be sure he is eating. At this point it is too late for Tamiflu. You have to start that within the first 2 days of the disease for it to help. Yes, it is a prescription. You have to have a vet write it for you. @on3sayjon

Yea he did make it and is doing great!!

tamiflu is only available with a prescription in California. is there any over the counter medicine i can substitute?
barnumeffect5 1 year ago
You can try parvaid, pedialyte and baby food. The most important thing is to keep him hydrated and fed and warm. @barnumeffect5

Hi, I have Tamiflu capsules 75mg. My do will not swallow the capsule, so i will have to open it up and mix it with Pedialyte. He is a 3 month old, 15-18lbs pittbull. Should i give him the whole capsule? Thanks.
care4yu 1 year ago
@care4yu No don't give the whole capsule the dosage is just one mg per pound. You would give him about 1/4 of it. Mix it with a little something like baby food.

@petcarevideos THANK YOU for responding so quickly.

@petcarevideos One more thing. I forgot to ask. Is this just 1 dose only? or should i repeat in a few hours or tomorrow?
care4yu 1 year ago
You should give it to him twice daily.

our pup(sheldon)was vaccinated by the breeders at 6 weeks of age!got him when he was 7 weeks old and 2days later throwing up but bowels where good so we thought grass, new food, etc so we made the mistake of going 48 hours later after symptoms.tested postive parvo and vet said weshould puthim down!! i said if it were me i rather be in pain and fight then give up so 3 vet trips $600 and 5 days later he was great! we took him in everyday for 3 days to get i.v. and nausia shot and home water/babyfood

magdalenojuan 1 year ago
@magdalenojuan yeah he's great, sorry on not being to clear cause of how much you can write on here. do you have a puppy with parvo?
dase4321 1 year ago
@dase4321 yes unfortunately he passed away yesterday, after being hospitalized for 7 days and I can't still believe he died , when I had him he was only throwing up , but then the veterinarian said he would have bloody diarrhea, and vomiting, but can explain how he wouldn't survive, a waste of money, and I don't know if he was treated in good conditions.
magdalenojuan 1 year ago
@magdalenojuan that sucks sorry to hear that. i have heard that leaving them there could be a bad thing cause the dogs survival depends on itself but alot of it is human interaction as well and the vets cant really cover doing that. i had to stay awake for 96 hours with very little sleep maybe 10 hours in all but still very sorry this disease sucks!!!
dase4321 1 year ago
@dase4321 omg I was going to say the same thing I would've been visiting him so he could feel familiarized , I feel so bad, but i had those thoughts, he could've gotten better if he saw me
magdalenojuan 1 year ago
@magdalenojuan yeah i kinda thought the same thing but wasnt for sure if it helped for the dog to be home because keeping him at the vet would of cost 1000 to 2000 a night so i thought that would be the best but now if i get a pup with parvo im just going to the vet for the i.v. and nausia shot and take it home for baby food and force watering and watching it for hours on end. but dont beat yourself up i would have done the same as you if i could afford it.
dase4321 1 year ago
@dase4321 when I came to the vet I came for all the shots he needed , but idk why out of nowhere they examined his pop and diagnosed parvo, and i told him I wanted to put him some shots but said not until he was better
magdalenojuan 1 year ago
@magdalenojuan well i understand if they were talking about his vaccine shots but a nausea shot is just to stop them from feeling so sick and the i.v. for hydration they should of at least gave him those. did they not give hm those 2 things?
dase4321 1 year ago
@magdalenojuan p.s. love your elite zero movie
dase4321 1 year ago
I hope not. Don't vaccinate her again. They would be too much exposure to the virus. If she is an older/bigger dog she will probably be okay.

lLuriiam 1 year ago
@lLuriiam I am so sorry for you and everyone who has written to tell me they lost a puppy to parvo. Many times there is nothing you can do. My question to you and others who have lost puppies is when/did you vaccinate your puppy. I find that many dogs who are vaccinated develop the disease within 3-21 days of the vaccination. I am interested in hearing from anyone who has had this experience because I am finding in many cases it is the shot that leads to the disease.

@petcarevideos
my puppy had a vaccine for Parvo at 7 Weeks and sure enough he is now going through it at 8 weeks and let me tell you it hit him FAST!!
BelgianMalinoisfreak 1 year ago
Thanks for letting me know about this. I hope your puppy is ok. I do find that if a puppy is young and small they have a much harder time taking shots without a serious reaction. Many vets will only use half the dose on tiny puppies. I think this is a good idea.

Hi I got a 2 pund chiwawa mix 15 month old female thats got parvo. I also have tami flu in my cabniete and have been administering pedialite and water half /and half solution 30 cc every 30 min also a little chicken broth if she feels up to it. can u tell me how much tamiflu to give her? its in pill form best I can do
beloved989 1 year ago
@beloved989 You only give one mg. per pound. Those pills are usually 75mg. So she would only need a tiny bit - two times a day.

TheMiastube 1 year ago
@TheMiastube I'm sorry your puppy is sick. He certainly could die from this. It would be good if you could get him on Tamiflu right away. The problem is most vets won't prescribe it. Just keep him hydrated and as the person below says, colloidial silver may help. Good luck.
petcarevideos 1 year ago
@petcarevideos Thanks but my pup died last night - we did our best but doc said he is too young and weak to defend himself.
I dont knwo what to say more, but i really miss him - I wish there was a chance to make everything right.
Thanks a lot once again
TheMiastube 1 year ago
I used colloidial silver(every 12 hours) and probiotics (once a day)and 50 50 pediea lite and water mix(every hour) to hydrate y parvo puppy and now she is doing great!!!

I will share this video everywhere as I think - I know it is something that everyone needs to know ! The most sure way of course is for people to vaccinate against it in the first place but as many do not ! :( Thank you so much for this information. I will be getting this information out to countries like Greece and Romania where they have a huge parvo problem !
