Hey everyone go out and buy a ps2 ( and ps1 if u can find one) cuz in about 45 years or so they are supposed to be worth a shit ton of money, even if u die before than u can leave your children a a great gift, it will prove to be a great investment in the long run, but make sure u keep the box unopened and in mint condition, also buy the top 3 games for the system which are GTF San Andreas, SOCM 3, and ESPN NFL 2K5 don't open anything, it will probably cost u around 120 bucks overall

Parallel port can be used to connect interesting peripherals as Video Cd adaptors or Action Replay/Gameshark cheats cartridges. ;-)

By the way, that port was removed by Sony just because with those cartridges was possible to play import games without installing a chip in the console and doing so invalidating the warranty.

I either talk about it and people get the info or people start asking questions and have to wait for a response from me which takes longer than a 10 minute video. Or sometimes I ask questions in the video for the viewers to answer.

@lolzsly You're right and Ps3 can enhance Ps1 games look far better than Ps2 (its bilinear filter on Ps1 texture is horrible = = ) with antialiasing and upscaling to 1080p. ;-) Too bad that just some Ps3 are able to load also Ps2 games. :-\

Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 are both ridiculous compared to the magnificent VII and VIII. There are virtually no platform games on Ps3 while the first three Crash Bandicoot and Spyro games still look and play superbly. >>>

Btw since you collect I'd reccomend picking up a sega saturn if you haven't already. @refriedhitler Don't keep the system in a closed area, nice open air flow is good for it. And for the love of god don't buy fan add on's for any systems. Also, make sure you keep the system clean, make sure the vents are clog free and get some can air and blow the vents from time to time, even as far as removing the hard drive out because that's a place for dust to collect. Just basic stuff.

the parallel I/O port was used for linking 2 ps1 game consoles together just like the LAN on xbox. But what was really cool for it is using it for regional lockouts and copy protection. Other things for the parallel I/O port i used at the time Cheat Cartridges Mod Boards Printers parallel I/O to parallel I/O Tilt Force, a motion controller Fight Ring But the reason for them removing it was no use and regional lockouts. This is what i was using it for in the day.
