  • fucking Carey Frasor

  • does Stamkos remind anyone of Gretzky

  • Wtf is a "pixel"??? Lmao. The retards always talk about it haaa

  • Yeah..because goalies are better now days......lmao not!!!!! Lemieux cant touch #99!....love from philly......

  • The video quality here SUCKS! Too bad.

  • I'm sorry Howe is my favorite player in the NHL. But man gretzky is a legend. I am a lightning fan and have high hopes for stamkos but players of this time could never compare to the older guys it's to hard to.

  • if you grew up watching gretzky you know... if your an ignorant person saying hes bad on the internet your a clown.

  • @facepull123123 No one with half a brain would say Gretzky is bad but also no way he scores almost 3000 points in today's NHL. That was an era of little to no defense, poor goal tending, and fat beer drinking pylons.

  • its not fair to ever compare different eras of hockey its also not fair for the NHL players today who will never be able to shoot on goalies as bad as they used to be able to set records like he did in his day

  • Ovechkins highlight reel is much much much more spectacular than any of Gretzkys, 1/2 of the goals on here were cherry picking wristers.... what 1 breakaway? yay......

  • Waste of time with your 240p shit quality.

  • I think you forgot a few pixels when you uploaded this

  • WHO IS WAYNE GREKSIII?

  • @Opensecrets101 ask your mom

  • I just about went blind watching this -- would a few extra pixels hurt?

  • 6:57 Ref subtly congratulates Gretzky with awkward bump, hoping no one notices his (understandable) show of affection.

  • not complaining, but you shouldve named it Top 50.

  • what pixel is wayne?

  • How do people even compare crybaby crosby to this guy? smdh

  • what team was that at 1:02?

  • @chodewarriors1123 the Vancouver Canucks

  • @bobbytomorow those are sweet jerseys

  • @chodewarriors1123 fuckin A they are

  • wayne is from canada, ontario and im proud to say that im from canada to.

    math question solved :

    wayne gretzky+canada=epicness

  • He sounds like garfield..

  • Today's "PROS" in all the major sports need to be taught by the great one, how to act humble even at the top of his sport. These kids today act like jackasses, shooting themselves in night clubs, demanding the world, when they haven't even produced anything to deserve it..... Gretzky will always bee the great one on my book....

  • gretsky has 99 on his back, but is still number one.

  • @Viperstrike28 Pocklington is a greedy bastard who did this just to line his pockets, then sold the Oilers out in the mid 90s.

With all that said, there will NEVER be another player like Wayne. He is one-of-a-kind.

  • I'm a Rangers fan and followed Wayne since he was in Edmonton. This guy was unbelievable. Passing, the smarts, his office behind the net. One of the smartest players in the sport. He has more assists than anyone has total points. I read other comments that say, Wayne would never put up the points in today's game. Maybe? Maybe not? He would still be productive because of his talent. Remember, today's player's especially guy's who play defense are bigger, stronger, more mobile and athletic.

  • first and only time in history where the opposing team scored a goal and gets a standing ovation from the home crowd

  • peter pocklington is the dumbest man in the history of sports, he coulda made edmonton a respected team name, and not a team that players just wanna leave nowadays... idiots

  • Which pixel is Gretzky?

  • Dude.. where did you get that HD camera?

  • i hate his wife she did the whole rade to la to help her acting career

  • his daughter is a hoar.

  • The "old" NHL used to be a very brutal. Both players and goalies didn't wear helmets. Seeing a goaltender take a rubber puck to the head was the norm. Players even played with fractured bones and concussions. It's true, the game has evolved. The problem with today's NHL is there are no real standouts. During the 80's and 90's the NHL was at it's best (so many great players). I feel sorry for younger fans, you guys missed out on so many great moments. The NHL will never be like that again.

  • If Gretzky is just an average player by today's standards? What does that say about the rest of the NHL during that same time period? Only the best of the best become professional players. Gretzky was truly the most amazing hockey player (and Lemieux) I have ever seen. So unless you lived through the 70's, 80's, 90's, you really have no idea what you are talking about. I remember (79-80) when people said Gretzky would never make it in the NHL. Turned out they were wrong...

  • why does everyone keep talking about the goalies?? they made the nhl right? they were still the best compared to other goalies.. gretzky had 3 seasons in the 200 point range.. not everyone in the nhl did that so the goalies weren't THAT shitty.. still only a select few dominated.. who was better can be debated, but grezky stayed healthy long enough to break almost every record.. to me, an all time points leader is the best player in the game. isnt that the POINT of the game??

  • Of Course the goaltending wasn't as good they don't cover 95% of the net with their pads, now of days "Great Saves" are just putting your overly padded fat ass in the way of a shot.

  • no offence but goalie back then couldnt save a puck goin a mile per our while goalies now could stop a fuckin topedo but i still think gretzky would do great when his kids start to play and he plays with them................ hi >_<

  • fuck gretzky, lebron all the way!

  • @xXGermszXx fuck xXGermszXx, Gretzky all the way

  • @jaysoncamana fuck jaysoncamana lebron ALL THE WAY!

  • ok all canadians, I know Gretzky is regarded as one of the best hockey players ever, but Peter Forsberg is in my eyes greater (not only cause I'm swedish) but also because Forsberg faught his own fights, Gretzky had other people doing that. Gotta stand on your own

  • @TheX3meGuitar lol gretzky cant really be blamed for that.. seeing as how teams pay money for enforcers.. they might as well use them right?

  • @051985bumblebee I'm not blaming him for anything, it's just that appears to be so spoiled that other people handle his problems, it's like he got a baby sitter or something. In my eyes enforcers are useless, "baby-sitter" is a better term for that.

  • The game has changed so much.

  • Not trying to be a douche, Gretzky wouldn't stand a chance in the NHL today. Just sayin.

  • @bubscrub20 in 1999 at 40 years old he still played at a point per game pace. I think he would have by a long shot.

  • @bubscrub20 SMD

  • Goalies were terrible back then. Lol. Although no one was as great as Gretzky then either.

  • Gretzky holds the record for broken records.

  • So, we meet again... 240p.

  • Gretzky is cool 'cos he was shit yet the best.

  • leafs in the playoffs o.O

  • @osk19 LEAFS 2012 PLAYOFF STANLEY CUP

  • @breakingcookie 2012 Vancouver Canucks 2013/14 Toronto Maple Leafs. We need our final chance.

  • Gretzky had the most points in the 90s as well. Funny that Tim Thomas couldn't even make the NHL in the nineties in his prime. Pronger has had an easier time scoring in the 2000s than nineties. Lidstrom never won s Norris trophy in the nineties despite being in his prime. Mark savard was a 3rd line fwd on the rangers with Gretzky.

  • NO DOUBT HE IS THE GREATEST EVER TO HAVE 200 POINTS IN A SEASON NO ONE COULD DO IT GRETZKY DOES IT 4 SEASONS THAT IS AMAZING

  • Go Pittsburgh. Go Crosby. Bitch on my friends.

  • @TheWatersandwich lol crosby is ovechkins bitch.

  • @FlowWagon Have you seen Ovechkin this season? Garbage. Did you watch Crosby's first game back? Spectacular.

  • @JeffAwesomeArent hows Crosby doing now? o hes back out, lol thought so. No goals since his first game.

  • It is true that the athlete now put ALOT of effort in training themselves physically and if Gretzky at his prime was to compete with the players of today, he would have a bit of trouble. But the reason why he is so great is because he was ahead of his time. No one was talented as he was. No one. Still he holds more assists than any other player with their goals and assists combined.

  • @goej42 Yes just like Jordan in Basketball.

  • And why is that??? So because i think Toews can put up the same numbers and is better in the defensive end im an idiot? I would expect that reply from a Crysby fan

  • Everyone can huff and puff and call up valid statistics.

But guys, first it's only a bloody game. And Gretzky has got the money in the bank. Do shutup. I'ts very tedious reading such Miller's beer commentary.

  • Every era is different. And sure, Crosby would have probably been a good player in that era, but you couldn't whine as much as he does and he would never have been able to hack it due to his apparent lack of testicles. Toews may not put up as many points, but I would take Tazer over Crosby any day of the week.

  • @SSinc1981

That would make you an idiot.

  • crosby > gretzky only because of the level of competition in the NHL now as opposed to then

  • Most over rated hockey player.

  • @nymike40 obviously you need a history lesson or your Daddy should have sat you down to watch greatness and show you what a real hockey legend was evolving, but Im sure he was too busy blowing his rent money on hookers and blow, so you were stuck watching the mighty ducks on vhs while people like me were getting put down in front of the tv, at live games, and got to see the best player alive. Take your overrated comment and shove it up your ass. WAYNE GRETZKY IS THE BEST THERE IS, BEST THERE WAS

  • @wegettinarabmoney Funny because the goalies had half the pads back then Gretzki couldn't even compete with players of this time. He was a pussy. The mighty ducks? No no I was watching true greats such as Peter Forsberg Joe sakic Milan Hejduk Peter Stasny. True greats not over rated pieces of shit who scored their goals because goalies were drunk 24/7. Wow aren't you mature, blow and hookers? Please don't talk about your dads life story on youtube nobody cares. Are you 12? Must be.

  • @nymike40 you mean you were watching a team who was in a leauge with no salary cap and had a stacked team...and thats greatness too you? Are you serious right now? Anyhow, who are your greats now? Paul Stastny, Washed up Hejduk? Do you know what size of the pads were when your "back" then was? Do you know what they are today? Tell me the difference!!!!! And by the way, its GRETZKY, spell the man's name right when your talking about him

  • @wegettinarabmoney I couldn't care less how you spell the mans name. No salary cap? Haha. My greats now? Hejduk who has scored more goals in the pepsi center than anybody. Washed up? Appearntly you haven't watched a game lately. Goalie pads where 3 inches smaller back then and the goalies where horrible. I know because my hockey coach has a pair of old pro pads and they're tiny you bafoon. Paul stastny is not a great yet but he will be same with how Gabriel landeskog will be, matt duchene. Idiot

  • @nymike40 so your a Av's fan, a washed up Nordiques fan eh!! Anyways, your garbage, your debates are garbage, and the Avs' will be a great team one day, but not in your time

  • @wegettinarabmoney Washed up Nordiques fan? Avs fan? I live in Colorado of course I am a fan, too bad your arguements consist of bitching. Gretzky is shit and so are you. By the way i'm a Capitals fan idiot.

  • @nymike40 No worries, I will bow down to you "Oh mighty Caps fan"!! I agrrrrreeeeee with you, GRETZKY sucks, and all of his records should be blown up, all of his highlight nights, all of his stanley cup rings, all of his millions of dollars, and all of his greatness should be blown upl, just for you!!! Fucking stuff it

  • Shit, now I need to go find @DreamKillaDaJuggalo1's comment.

  • My little "not so humble" city is responsible for his #99. He came to Sault Ste. Marie, for his only year of junior hockey., #9 was taken, thus, 99 was born! That's one of our claim to fame!

  • 1:50 the goalie fell on his butt COMEDY

  • Mario Lemuix is better I love gretzky but Lemuix is just so much better

  • If it wasn't for the Hanson Brothers, hockey would be totally gay

  • It was definitely a different game back then. That doesnt take anything away from his skill or what he achieved. But back then the goalies were pretty bad and players werent as aggressive

  • @ClevoMaiden Fair enough but you have to remember that Gretzky put up 163 points in the 1991 season and was still putting up close to 100 points each year in the late 90's at the tail end of his career. By 1991 players such as Jagr (who still putting up great numbers in the league today), Lemieux, Modano, Yzerman, Recchi, Gilmour etc...were all playing at a high level.

  • look up wayne gretzky trick shots at home... hilarious! also sub to my channel

  • really? that was only 10 moments? looked more like 100 to me..

  • i am an oilers fan and this was the worst trade in sports history... but i guess you can never say a player is untradeable

  • dat quality..wont even bother watching this through.

  • 240p.... we meet again

  • Come on...an empty net goal is one of the top ten moments?

  • @jer1595 he bud it was because it was 50 goals in 39 games... do you watch hockey?

  • @leekoch16 Yea I do, and it may have been memorable, but to put in the top ten, thats taking it a little too far in my opinion. He was an amazing playmaker, why couldn't they have put that in the video?

  • @jer1595 this is not the top ten goals this is top ten moments.. that is and always will be one of the greatest moments in hockey history he shattered the the 50 in 50 record was previously held by Maurice Richard and Mike Bossy which was one of the records people thought would never be broken... and in 39 games not 50.. unreal moment

  • such a bad quality why upload?

    ita a waste of time

  • Thank you based Gretzky.

  • when he was with the oilers he was so freakin good he'd score 2 or 3 goals in the first period, come in the dressing room and eat a PBJ sandwich like he was at a picnic, then go out and score a couple more.

  • @samsdad900 LIKE A BAWSE.

  • If you moved Gretzky's prime playing days to the current game, he'd still annihilate fools. Bad goalies/better goalies or faster/newer game... It doesn't even matter. He wasn't just a great player, he was a leader for his team and brought hockey to a different level in America. Before Gretzky, no one cared for hockey in California. Now we have 3 NHL teams in Cali... He changed the NHL. Straight up.

  • A 10 minute video of snap shot highlights!?! Greatest ever.

  • Gretzky will always be THE GREATEST player to ever put on skates. Even the NHL clearly knows it. After all, why else was Gretzky's number retired throughout the sport?

  • The only thing gretzky was bad at was faceoffs

  • The puck hasn't his own pixel xD

  • They needed to include some scenes from the 1987 Canada Cup final...

  • Only Gretzky would have the home team erupt in cheers when the opposing team scores

  • How many scoring titles has Datsyuk won?

  • Datsyuk would have shit on him.

  • @UnsnappedApple Datsyuk has only barely gotten over 30 goals in two or three seasons. Gretsky had a 90 goal season, two 80 goal seasons, four 70 goal seasons, and numerous 50 and 60 goal seasons. Yeah, Datsyuk is just as good, right.

  • gretzky was just the best ever .

  • Yes, the game was more wide open back then, but one still can't overlook the fact of how widely Gretzky outdistanced the opposition. Nobody in the history of the NHL ever came close to outpointing the rest by 30-40% for 5 straight years. To put it in perspective it would be like last year's scoring champ Sedin at 104 points, being 31 or 41 points up for 5 straight years on St.Louis who would have had 63-73 instead of 99. If all the goalies sucked every Oiler/NHL player should have rivalled #99.

  • If the goalies were so bad back then, why didn't every player score as many goals as Gretzky then??

  • @tommyboy13201 The NHL was different, no the goalies weren't bad. The style the goalies and even the style skaters played was way different then.

  • @tommyboy13201 The NHL was different, no the goalies weren't bad. The style the goalies and even the style skaters played was way different then.

  • gretzky is good but im sorry the goalies back then were so fucking bad its hard to watch

  • @Yargus15 i agree.... seems like almost every goal was because the goalies were bad.

  • @Yargus15 idiot its not the goalies its the style of playing

  • @Yargus15 all they do is dive and completely miss evrytime

  • @Yargus15 That's true but if Gretzky's greatness is because of all the bad goalies, then why wasn't anyone else so great?

  • @HOCIPLAYER agreed sir :D and there will never be another gretzky because he changed the game completely

  • @HOCIPLAYER Because the players were also worse back then. Greatzky was just ahead of his time.

  • @HOCIPLAYER

Mario Lemiux produced points at the same level Gretzky did. Hell if you look at the top 10 points all time in the NHL most of them played in this era. Gretzky was just simply better than all of them however and would put up Crosby like numbers today.

  • @HOCIPLAYER He was pretty good, but you have to admit, if he started his career now, he would probably be about as good as Crosby or Ovie

  • @HOCIPLAYER I'll give you the answer. That's because Yargus15 is probably 15 years old and is not yet able to think logically or do some analysis.

  • @HOCIPLAYER he was great, I think what yargus is saying is that everyone has gotten so good now-a-days that if gretzky played now he would just be average. Granted that most of the reason that the players are so good is because he revolutionized the game

  • @CadeHacker Its all relative, If Gretzky was playing now he would be training like the guys do nowadays and using the same skates and sticks they do. There isn't anyone today who is that much ahead of everyone else like Wayne was. Crosby is close but he cant stay healthy now.

  • @HOCIPLAYER people during that time period generally did post higher offensive numbers... I believe the average gaa for goalies was around 4.0 as compared to like 2.5 today...

  • @HOCIPLAYER And its hardly like any goalie was shit if there good enough to be in the nhl

  • @HOCIPLAYER it's not that the goalies were bad (because that's so so so wrong), it's that the game wasn't as defensive as it is today. if gretzky were to play in the nhl today there's no way he would reach 200 points; i doubt he would reach 150. gretzky was an AMAZING player, but he played in a different era. i bet if crosby and/or ovechkin played in the 1980's they'd be scoring 150-200 points easily.

    ps

bobby orr is considered just as great.

  • @Yargus15 Not so sure...They were bad for everybody. Why Lafleur, Dionne or Bossy didn't score 200 points? Why even his own teamates?

  • @Yargus15 There's not a lot of evolution in playing goalie bro. Look at fucking Luongo... I mean sure there are good goalies now and there were good goalies then. Shut outs didn't just start happening 20 years ago bro.

  • @Yargus15 The goalies were anything but bad... their equipment was half the size!

  • @Yargus15 actually the pads for the goalies take up the whole goal now

  • @Yargus15 Sure the game has evolved...faster players, bigger players, technology made sticks that could whip a puck a 100mph compared to a wood stick, and sure the game has changed from rules and shitty penalties. Lets take Crosby and put him back in the Great one's days and see how he could do...Im sure he'd get a concussion and be out forever. Back then a 2 hand wasn't uncommon, and cheap dirty plays happened all the time. Wayne was the man, no one will ever be better.

  • @Yargus15 Yargus, that has to be the probably the DUMBEST statement I have ever seen in my entire life. And

  • @Yargus15 hey jackass shut ur trap...

  • gretzky is unreal but the game then and now are way different

  • Did you know that Gretzky outpointed the runner-up by over 70 points 3 straight years from 84' - 86' and by over 60 points in 82' and 83'! For 5 straight years he was 30 -40% ahead of everyone else. His slickness, vision and playmaking were a treat to watch and he came through big internationally in the Canada Cups. Also had an underrated ability to dodge hits. Had he not left Edmonton his stats would have been even more incredible.

  • Wich Pixel is Gretzky

  • not only greatest player ever he also made all those around him greater (kurri, robitaille, mcsorley to name a few)

  • @samsdad900 I agree with you. Blake, Kurri, Robitaille, McSorley, Sandstrom. That era for the Kings was amazing.

  • watching this is like having glaucoma

  • college humor anyone :P?

  • Wyane would not be so great in the modern eara even if he was in his prime...it's a more demanding time.

  • Thumbs up if GSP facebook status sent u here

  • im 20 years old, bur is see him playing and i stard to love hockey^^ sorry for my horrible english:)

  • @BostonBruinsHockey1 It WAS a National "mourning" process, though! Our whole country was pissed! Our natural resource EXPORTED! Oh the humanity! ha ha

  • 13 people are ovechkin fans

  • The Great One was awesome. I was more of a Super Mario fan but Gretzky is in a class of his own. First in goals, first in assists, first in pts per game, led the league in pts 11 times and 8 times in a row, how is Gretzky not the greatest. He also was the most innovative and had the best anticipation of any player.

  • Haaaa to funny!!! My Uncle works at Nasa......does that mean I can go to space? I liked Gretzky he was a damn good player. But everyone is entitled to their own oppinion. Best player in my opinion on and off the ice would have to be Stevie Y........!!! Even gretzky says he was better then him ha.

  • thumbs up if everybody hates chris brought u here!!!

  • Gretzky is an amazing player but you gotta think about the difference in skill level now days. The players are faster stronger bigger and alot more agile then them. he couldnt keep up with the players in todays NHL. yup and my cousin plays pro hockey so yahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i think i have you guys beat in knowledge of hockey

  • @DreamKillaDaJuggalo1 ohhhh your cousin plays pro... you must know every little fact in the history of hockey, sorry to question you.

  • I don't know what the fuzz is all about, he IS the greatest player of all time.

  • Gretzky is a major reason I am proud to be Canadian! I grew up idolizing guys like Sakic and Yzerman, but just thinking of where Gretzyky's game was at at the time gives me chills.. what a legend! and forever he has my greatest respect! I know it's only a game, but fuck.. what a game it is!

  • @supermcdiz It's sad that you worship men as idols over God.

  • @Mozartmostly god? puh-leeze. weak minded sheeple submitting to non existent bs out of fear due to brainwashing. go sing a hymn or something. the greatest evil on earth is religion.

  • @jdbankshot You are brain washed. True Christians behold truth. Never judge Christianity by the mainstream satanic media. King Jesus is real. Wake up.

  • @Mozartmostly

Go bible thumping someone else, we care not for your god here

  • 240p we meet again....

  • Gretzky had the best anticipation of play ever of any hockey player. That was his legacy and nobody with a brain can argue with that.

  • How the fuck can you not like Wayne Gretzky? That's like not liking to have sex.

  • which pixel was gretzky?

  • I promised Mess and all you fans of #99 I wouldn't cry, but excuse me, The Great One's very LAST Game was on April EIGHTEENTH, NOT the 16th. The reason I know and am very proud of this is b/c April 18th also just happens to be MY BIRTHDAY!. Thanks, Wayne!! :)

  • even his helmet is legend
