Well, Democrats generally support higher taxes, and countries like Ireland that have very low corporate income taxes have economies that continue to grow disproportionately when compared to those with much higher corporate income taxes.
Honestly - I own a business on the side. I don't have many deductions, so I have to save nearly half of my profit to put towards taxes (fed, state, county, and city). Slash taxes in half, and I may be able to hire some part-time help, thus creating a job! :)
