@MrZuQuitar Well, I've never used the forte, so I couldn't say. My understanding is that it has a bolder tone, requires more breath, is heavier, and has the potential for more expressiveness. It is also more expensive. I had a blast with my dolce (insanely good instrument esp. for the price), but I actually currently use a Maparam Triple AC (no longer made, unfortunately), because my preference is for a lighter instrument with a smooth and consistent tone. It really comes down to personal taste.
@ibookworm Thanks, Both the dolce and the Forte received good reviews. But in your opinion, is the dolce model a good ocarina to have as my first ocarina?
@MrZuQuitar Yes. It wasn't my first ocarina (that was a plastic Mountain ocarina) but I found it very easy to learn (you can easily stick to one chamber until you are ready to move on the full range) and very pleasing. It's not an instrument that fights you. It rewards you quickly. And it is very high quality, especially for the price.
Unfortunately, I don't read sheet music, and I'm not familiar with tabs. I play by ear. It might be possible for me to export the melody line of the MIDI file in notation form from Garageband, though. I'll look into it.
awesome

is this the forte model? Thanks in advance :D

@MrZuQuitar No, it's the dulce.

@ibookworm What is a dulce?

@MrZuQuitar Whoops, that should be spelled dolce. Dolce as opposed to forte. It's the basic Focalink model, not the louder/heavier forte.

@ibookworm I see, I'm planning on getting one of focalink double ACs, do you think I should get the forte or the dolce?

@MrZuQuitar You've looked at The Ocarina Network, right? People have reviewed both models there.

Beautiful song. Did you learn this by ear, or did you have tabs/sheet music, too? If so, can you tell me where to find them?
