@a7x5631 he was mediocre for evernham in the 7 car, but in the last 3 races, he averaged top 10, including a third place finish at homestead in the finale. but evernham booted him from his cup ride after one year, despite him showing promise. And i think he had his ride reduced in the nationwide series because of evernham's secret relationship with female driver erin crocker. this secret relationship got him booted from evernham. last year, he ran poorly in the nationwide series. idk now

Agreed!!! Ok, I can understand why he had a bad first year. Dodge was back in NASCAR, and Evernham was a new team (though Elliott had some good results). After that, Evernham screwed him royally.

I've known Casey since the 1st grade...I'll be 28 this year. We went to highschool together to, We weren't close or anything, but It's crazy watching somebody you know crash like that. He always wanted to be a race car driver, glad to see he made his dream come true.
