I am sorry but personally I feel that she is not in the character of all. She has the technique sor sure, but unfotunately...it shows> She seems too calculating, too triuphant I would say for this part. She lacks poetry, emotion. The greatest Aurora in my opinion will always be Sylvie Guillem. And even though I am not a big fan of Alina Cojocaru she also had the right touch for this part, as well as as someone like Aurelie Dupont. One of the great Auroras of the past was Fonteyn as well.
@nakis74 agreed - she is technically amazing but absolutely no emotion or excitement. She should have become a gymnast. But that seemed to symptomatic of the whole production, which was over-opulent and totally lacking in magic. Only David Halber seemed to know what it was all about
Wow, I am not a big fan of hers, but here she was perfect! I did not have the feeling that she was breaking the lines due to her hyper extensions, as it usually happens when I watch other videos of her. I believe she has the most beautiful feet ever. Thanks for posting!
