It is, but only really for PC. Codemasters have released operation flashpoint red river but it isn't as good as ofp dragon rising. Arma 2 is a military simulator, this is a realistic game, Can't do similar things in the editor and multiplayer, I would say this game is more fun.

@Jameseos Yet you can do mission yourself - you can do hundreds upon hundreds of tanks fighting each other while thousands piled on fucking thousand of infantry graze through the line of fire. Tho it takes a lot of triggers in Editor and a super computer aka. Make your own memorable battles!

i just got this game and am strugglin w givin orders. seems a bit fiddly and awkward, deffo not userfriendly but i cqan feel i am getting the hang of it, slowly. but it just takes so much effirt to get into and to top it all off the enemies are tearing the shit outta my troops! i can't seem to get the hang of gicving my medic the order to heal my injureds troops. 'heal' is always blanked out. i get the feeling that once i get the hang of it tho it will be a good game

@Jameseos On the last Mission after the MH-60s picked you up and dropped you at the LZ, you can see on your map the direct way to the naval base, if you go straight to the naval base you have to pass a mountain, on top of that mountain is a Chinese sniper who has the weapon. But be careful spec ops troops coming down from the left of the sniper, and if you walk up he fires on you.

I made this today, I just took m16 thermal scope and made the shot from aprox 700 yards easiest way.

Yes/No, they do but rarely. Mostly only gun turrets jam. I have had the odd chinese gun jam as they jam more then the americans but never had an american gun jam. But like i said, very rare only usually on turrets. A small arms gun jam only happened to me once and that was in multiplayer.

No G36, No G3, No Ak. In general a small weaponry. Even if both parties don't use those weapons, there would have been enough space to adopt much more weapons in this game. What do i need thousands of varaints of the AR15 system? All the time only M16 and M4 in games is getting more than boring. But thank god, there will be a lot of mods and armory plugins for this game

2. Yeah, therefore they implement one of the worst assault rifle systems in the world. the jam-o-matic AR15. Don't tell me anything, i have fired M16 multiple times. And during excercises with M16A2, i had more jammings, than with my G36 during my complete service time of 4 years.

I doubt that they simulated that weapon accurate. It's simply no fun, if you have stoppings every 20 minutes lol

I know that the weapons in OPF:DR do jam. But the possibility for jamming is absolute the same with avery gun. Is that accurate simulated? I doubt that. Especially while remembering my experiences with the M16A2 and the M4, compared to other assault rifles i was able to use and fire. Yeah, i hope so. I'd love to see the HK arsenal, AUG, FAMAS Sig 550 and much, much, more. Also hope that there will be a lot of mods, especeally some to implement other military, instead of US and China.
