it should be forbidden to let a trained monkey look at videos of true genious, like Gould and others. The natural reaction is to imitate, simulate excentricity, emulate a personality that is not our own. Lang Lang should be cleaning some stones in the great wall instead of doing this circus personification of a culture that has nothing to do with him.

Weird looking talent more/less or not. I'm just glad the majority of the critics who do attend his concerts/ master classes have a wonderful time and share the same level of commitment to perfecting the art of the piano yet have an entertaining time.
