whats your brush settings for the pencil effect? its just frustrating that all i can do is draw lines, it doesnt even looks like a sketch after im done with the body T_T
When sketching concepts, the proportions dont have to by extremely accurate! Its about expressing what you want first, then you bring your ideas into Alias and overcome the proportion issues. The only way you can improve on proportions is by PRACTICE and OBSERVATION!
I love it but one thing is bad the wheels u should work on them and creating the shadow construcions but everything was cool and the left shadows colour of the car in the back was good idea only problem is wheels and more accurate shadow post =) nice ^_^
actually when they do that they keep the perspective consistent... your perspective isn't consistent, and the 5-pointed spokes aren't set apart by the proper amount
only reason I'm pointing it out is that your response was misleading
@tammeo sketching is something you do to make it easier to finish your drawing. your sketching includes proportion, the right perspective and the basic shapes of your drawing. you'll never get better if you can't get the basics right.
@asphixa Funny how you said "your sketching includes proportion, the right PERSPECTIVE and the basic shapes of your drawing."
Do you even know the meaning of Perspective? obviously hes drawing the center of the wheels towards the center of the car....if he drew the center of wheels IN the center, it would look too isometric idiot.
I know what perspective is dude... one point perspective all goes together in one point two point in two points... and I didnt mean in the perfect centre I meant that the one middle was higher than the other one which is impossible. Maybe it's possible for you but then your face is totally misshaped with one eye higher than the other so nice you're a fucking freak...
@tammeo i just saw a company exec who was part of the new Audi design do a basic marker drawing lol....if you have talent and skill, perfection is not what your in search of lol
@ymiphatss Haha after my comments I watched your vids of your drawings... You're spelling me the lesson?? you can't even draw good... you fucking idiot
@ymiphatss your eyes are on the same level also with TWO POINT perspective, dumbass. So you can't draw one thing higher than the other while in reality they should be perfectly aligned... You probably haven't even noticed the flaw I saw in his drawing which prooves me that you probably suck very hard at drawing...
notice the fact that he draws a horizon line and the thing he says afterwards about where your 'eye level' is. Seriously don't fucking try to be smart while you don't know what you're talking about.
Go into your brushes palette (F5), and mess around with the Scattering, and the spacing in the "Brush Tip Settings" That was just a way I did it watching this vid.

Drawing technique is o.k but technical anthropometric and dimensions are not applied on this car ... the back wheel is stuck with the body. 4 stars for the effort and the render
yup. most of the automotive giants have their own design facilities. If you can get a job at one of them, you'll be doing this sort of thing, plus stuff like clay models, blueprints, and car prototypes. You'll need a degree in industrial design and a license as well before you do any designing of this sort. Hot rod shops can also use car designers for conceptual work, and from what I know, that doesn't require a degree. You just need to know how to draw and paint.
There's a million jobs you can get doing industrial design to do this type of stuff like drawing cars and making clay models what's the job called? Auto industrial design?
i beg to differ. my math teacher can draw perfect circles and ellipses as well as parabolas. and i know the circle is perfect because i took one of those large chalk compasses and went over the circle he drew on the board and it was right on. Mind you, he's been drawing non-linear graphs for the better part of his 65 years.
He freehands it. usually makes 2 axis first then bases it around the center point. i'm not sure if you've taken advanced math though but a lot of the time, you have to graph things when you're given just 2 points but it had to look right or else you end up confusing yourself so i guess his skill comes from years of repitition.
@chrixix I agree, a perfect drawing must be created in real life not in some virtual game thing or virtual designer or... whatever anyway this dude may be good using a computer but may suck in real life... :/
