omg i just went 2 the same exact concentration camp, it was the best part of the vacation, although it did give me chills and overwhelming sadness. it had a mysterious feel 2 it....i cant explain it. it was one of the saddest things i ever saw. the whole time, i felt like a prisoner there. i saw the tiny wooden beds and since then, every night b4 i went 2 sleep, i wud imagine how a prisoner there must feel.
USA govt for a decade after WW2 claimed that the Germans gassed scores of people at their dissident camps such as Dachau and Buchenwald but those lies were retracted. In the 1950s the WW2 victors were finally made to stop their evil program of psychological genocide against the German people. Since the 1950s the holocaust lies have been restricted to the 6 inspection-barred camps that were all located inside Poland. No Americans set foot in the camps in Poland only the Russians.
My grandpa was in the 42nd rainbow divisoin 222nd infantry company "b" and him along with many others in the 42nd liberated Dachau. I got the opurtunity to go to the reunion where all these men got together. They had such great stories to tell and it is to bad so many people don't get the chance to hear them because one day all of them will be gone. I would strongly encourage for everyone to research these great men and try to find one near you to talk to and meet.. NEVER FORGET RAINBOW!!!!!
@madiandelizabeth my love my respct my honour to you buddy thank u for sharing your comments with us really felt good never forget never forgive never again god bless u take care i still respect u bye
@madiandelizabeth the men who liberated Dachau were not heros they were murderers. they killed and tortured hundreds of German guards after their surrender. America could have shown that we were better than the Nazis, instead we sunk to their level
@darklord0666 That's not really true. Accounts from various soldiers and survivors corroborate with each other stating that a small amount of Germans, somewhere between 12 and 50 were outright executed, all of which were SS guards. Wermacht soldiers were sorted to a separate group and were untouched because they were serving their country, not exterminating POWs. Some statements conflict saying that one soldier did it all with a machine gun, others state it was a firing squad. We'll never know.
my sister went there last year and she said it was very depressing...i wanna see 4 myself. The worl would be a MUCH better place w/o religion or prejudice or ANY of that stuff
i had a really weird experience when i went there, from outside in the cameras view, the oven rooms were twinkling, like there was fire still going, but it was only in the camera, and only that building... i swear, im not the superstitious type but that really brought the emotion out. that and the sites of the executions, its a beautiful grassy area now, it contrasts so much to the history of it all
i was there a week ago. it was amazing. I had no clue that the ovens were like that either. Did you see the Gun Range and where the ashes were all thrown?
I visited in the summer of 2006; I went with my German exchange partner and his family. It was hard to even look at the family after the whole experience. I couldn't believe how huge it was. If givin a chance visit this place and feel for yourself how powerful this place really is. I can feel my heart sink just by watching this...
I toured this camp two months ago (Nov 07) and was left stunned at the brutality that occurred there. The German government is still somewhat in denial as they refuse to admit the gas showers were ever used there. A must-see for all history buffs. A horrible tingle went down my back when I touched the bullet holes in the firing-squad wall near the bunker.
My parents took me here when i was six. I can still remember the smells and the horrible feelings i had when i came to understand what happened there. Thanks for the video.
This is a very well done movie... it puts the one that i made of the place to shame... i wish i could have spent more time there... very well done my friend... very well done
I was there in July, 2010, evil still resonates through the location.

i went there a week ago for a German IE trip, and it was hard to keep looking. I had no clue the ovens were like that.

Well done, visiting Dachau soon. I understand that this camp is better to visit than Auschwitz which is more tourist orientated.

They were not prisoners. They were citizens of a free Europe.
