  • He built it in a cave.

  • The 'inlet' angle looks sexy !!

  • if you dont mind could you plz send me the list of meterials used cheers m8

  • i got stoned and wacked it together

  • But, will it blend??

  • Would have liked to have seen it in action...

  • hot wheels just got a TON cooler...

  • but now what im doing is working on homemade water turbine for the poor mountain people to generate electricity, i made one prototype of it and it works, thank God!!!

  • im mike pino from philippines and im building a lot of strange stuff in jet engine, i made one a little bit bigger than your engine,, i also built jet turbine engine out of tin can, but that makes me spend alot of money and time for each item, i really like people like you making out of nothing at all. best regards

  • seems cool ,, but once again those blades?

  • get a job, dumbass . . .

  • slideshows?? suck my balls you idiot XD

  • you are full of shit, post a video of it working

  • aww look at the little baby jet engine awww its soo cute booboobeebuu

  • And that is how nyan cat started.

  • That's obviously just a really big coin

  • hey dude your made is fucking awesome!

  • Plans? You guys shouldn't start building something that you know nothing about...just sayin.

  • nice moves

  • can i have the euro?

  • Does it work?

  • @MsMartinsguilherme Really !!!!! are u seriously asking if it works.

  • Hey man do you want to sell your plans? i am thinking about powering my dog with a jetengine.

  • where did u get it from ????

  • but will it blend?

  • What did you use to make the fan blades?

  • Are you going to give us a video of the test runs? :)

    Im really curious.

    Really well made.

  • is it a model; or does it actually work?

  • I'm sorry, but why you don't try it?

  • If you dont mind me asking. how did you make this? Did you look at plans, blueprint, forums, instructions, etc or did you wake one morning say im going to build a F*!@ing jet engine?

  • @pipersmurf I built it just by looking various pictures of model jet engines used in r/c planes, and when i realised i had all the materials i started building it...

  • @johnnyq90 Do you think you could whip up some plans for me? I would really appreciate it. Or at least tell me what i need in order to make one my self.? Thanks for replying so soon.

  • @pipersmurf I'm sorry friend but i built it on the run, so i don't have any plans.. There are so many things that i did to built that it would take ages to mention.. But if you don't mind you can check the comments and i'm sure you'ii find everything you need...

  • @johnnyq90 Or you're just a lazy fuck and don't want to make a tutorial video for us.

  • @cbrd1228

Why does this make him a lazy fuck? Are you paying him for a tutorial?

  • @johnnyq90 does it actualy fire up?

  • @powermaks That's what im wondering. i dont come to YouTbe to see idiots make fake thingsand post them as real...

  • must be a littel hot to run in your pocket ha ha ha

  • Did you ever get it going?

  • then fuckyou

  • Your like the beginning of Iron Man... Anytime soon your going to be making that thing glow and run for eternity! Very Nice and Clever build my friend

  • @lewisnwkc Thank you!!

  • @johnnyq90 Can you help me pleas...Im on the way of makeing a jet engine like yours (micro) and I run in 2 big problems...1.I cant find a fuel injection pipe like yours but can you tell me where do you get yours or were i can buy one? ...2.You told me in the past that the ballbearings were buyed ,can you tell me where you get them? Thank you for all the help and please reply.

  • @Pestisor11 The fuel injector is a needle that was taken out of a syringe.. You can buy it from a drug store.. I bought the bb from my country, i'm sure you can find in your country a pair just by googling it.. The size is 2x5x2.5...

  • @Pestisor11 you can buy them off ebay

  • it would be great to test it on an indoor plane...

  • This doesnt work does it?

  • it doesnt even run!!!! gay wast of time thank you much

  • @jalobeaulieu1 Answer me this: How can i take seriously a man that farts on the floor and then uploads it on youtube like you?

  • @johnnyq90 cuz i make vids of me wasting my time doing nothing, which isnt very often sir. i dont have the time to upload slide shows of a toy that probably will never benefit mankind.... at all.

  • @jalobeaulieu1 How can you compare your free time with mine?... Spending time doing nothing is very sad and miserable and i obviously learn a lot more than you do in my free time.. And who said that this thing would be beneficial to mankind? I did it for my fun and fyi a lot of people are interested in buying it, even though they know that it doesn't work.. And when something throws fire is not a toy.. (this just shows how mean and ignorant you are)

  • @johnnyq90 whats going on here

  • @zillionz What do you mean?

  • @johnnyq90 I mean what's all this arguing about? Do you want me to sort it out for you?

  • @zillionz Yes please!

  • does it work??? if so could you make me one ?haha

  • tutorial

  • where do you get these jet engines from? the mini ones. I want one.

  • if it doesnt go it a heap of shit.

  • I come on YouTube to watch videos. Not slideshows.

  • @Mogliz0rz Watch porn if you want to come on something

  • @TTibble Touché.

  • @Mogliz0rz True dat, bro!

  • @Mogliz0rz Then fuck off douchebag. Dont go around on youtube and comment bad things about people doing great work.

  • have you ever used it?

  • where can i get one cheap

  • @jam666777825 There is no place you can find it, it's homemade and it's not for sale..

  • Comment removed

  • Can I buy it?

  • @cottonclarksa I 'm sorry but it's not for sale...

  • Awesome where can we get some of these?

  • Amazing!!! How much? And if you aren't selling it then just post the designs please!!! I want one of these! And how much thrust does it produce?

  • Dude that looks awesome!! how much thrust does it make? You should make some plans, i want to build one too

  • Does it run. If it does show us

  • but does it run and if so how much thrust does it put out

  • would you mind making some planes for it

  • how much dose it cost]

  • Very clever! But does it work?

  • I would like to see how it works :)

  • i hate the haters!

  • Could I have one?

  • Will they fit on my tennis shoes?.

  • does it work in the first place?

  • LOL, lighter, What I got my lighter in my pocket, chk chk hoooooowwwwhshshshshshhshshshshhshshssssssshssssssssssss

  • what did u use to cut the blades?

  • are the fans aluminum or steel?

  • @deltajegga The compressor wheel is aluminum and the turbine wheel is steel...

  • dude....thats sick ,did u make it on a lathe and if u dont mind can u send me the build plans, iv been interested in micro jet engins for years

  • @deltajegga Thanks, actually i didn' t use any lathe to machine the parts, but a dremmel tool as a lathe to make the compressor and turbine wheel and some parts of the combustion chamber... Unfortunately, i do not have any plans for the moment, but in the future i will probably make some basic drawings...

  • @johnnyq90 if you do write up plans i would love to have them too, im a part time aeronautical engineer and this would be a great project.

  • how did you make the turbines and what material are they?

  • You should make a VIDEO (without music) of this thing operating, and put a link to a blog with the pictures in the description. In an effort to keep YouTube free of slide shows and full of motion picture. This video gets a dislike, but the video you'll make next as described above will get a big thumbs up.

  • I rekon thet would work if you can spin it fast enough to start it. That really is a stunning peice of engineering, surpasses all the bean can crap you see on youtube. I really hope it works, imagine the fun you could have with one of those!

  • Very Nice !

  • Cool... excellent fabrication work. Does it have a diffuser? Also, has it been tested?

  • @scrfce123 Thank you. Yes, now it has a diffuser and recently i also made a shaft tunnel. The engine is not ready yet, there are a few things that need to be done, so in 1-2 months it sould be complete

  • @johnnyq90 Eisai elinas, e; I'm glad to see that a record stands to be broken by a fellow Greek. All the best with it. I hope it self sustains - even if it makes no usable thrust.

  • @scrfce123 Thank you! I really didn't expect that! So you' re Greek too, that 's fantastic! Well, i think that the record is already broken by some students in MIT, they built a tiny engine which works with the same principles as a jet engine. Greetings from Greece!

  • Get this thing running yet?

  • How you doing with this project? Keep up the good work :)

  • Unfortunately, it's not going to run. Mr Reynolds is working against you.

  • @xjet I know that is probably not going to run, but who cares i do it mostly for the fun of build and if can run it, that would be even better.. Besides, i don't know many people that can build a thing like that in their homes with household materials. By the way who is Mr Reynolds?

  • @johnnyq90 Do a google for "Reynolds number" and you'll see what I mean.

  • @johnnyq90

He means the Reynolds number. Its the ratio of momentum transfer in a fluid by inertial to viscous forces. Unfortunately, it depends on the scale of the system (the diameter of the passages in the engine). Fine passages have high Reynolds numbers which means turbulent flow, which is a nonstarter in a jet. The smallest turbocharger or RC 'microjet' you can buy is at about the lower scale limit for a machine like this to at least be practical (with current tech.).

  • @xjet How are you applying reynolds numbers in this situation? Although I do agree that it probably wont sustain it self, I'm not sure how the reynolds # would have much affect on it. It would still have a relatively low number as you would want to measure after the turbine when trying to achieve laminar flow. I think the failure will be containing the flame with in the combustion chamber. To the builder: It looks cool, and that is in fact some very nice micro machining. Keep it up!

  • I'll take 4 of them please. Nice work!

  • how did you make the turbine wheel and compressor

  • @FlyHighRC386 I use my dremmel tool as a lathe to make perfect little discs from tin cans, and then i print circles with as many blades as i need, for example, i needed 18 blades for the turbine wheel which is 8mm in diameter, i printed the pdf, glued with a not strong glue to my tiny disc and then cut it with a very accurate cutter and a lot of patience

  • @johnnyq90 sorry for all these questions, but how is the whole thing kept in the centre, how is the outer case kept away from the Chamber and will it take the heat. thanks you have been a great help.

  • @FlyHighRC386 Well all the components are held with those screws you see in my videos, there are six of them. I don't know if everything is going to melt but i can assure you that if i can make it work then i will find the way to make it with better materials. Remember, the first goal is to make it self sustain

  • wow this is cool

  • The combustion chamber is alot better than the last it looks like it would compress more air.

  • wen are you going to run this engine

  • you make me jealous looking at it knowing i dont have one lol. Whens the start up video

  • @FlyHighRC386 You make me feel so proud of it, thanks. I will post the start up video as soon as i get an air compressor or something like that to start it
