I was there. And they were shocking from where we were. Nuno was great, but as a band - sorry.  Oh and for the Record, Aerosmith headlined that year and were on AFTER Extreme. There was a great point when a plane flew over from East Midlands Airport right in the quiet bit of Living on the Edge, Steve Tyler looked up, pointed and screamed "You ain't going NOWHERE!". Great day, even though Extreme were utter pants.

I love extreme and was a bit puzzled at their inclusion at the monsters of rock! they came on and started real strong and i thought 'hey, these lads might pull this off!' then they go and bring a bar stool out into the centre of the stage and 'more than words' began. oh dear! downhill from there im afraid. still enjoyed seeing them though. i never missed many Doningtons, great days...

I remember watching this from alongside the mixer tower at Donington. As was traditional, the piss bottles were flying thick and fast and Gary did well to avoid at least 3 or 4 direct hits at high speed. Mind you Extreme were on somewhere among Pantera and Sepultura, so they weren't going to be well received by the heavier crowd! Ginger from the Wildhearts got it right on the other stage, he wore welders goggles - although funnily enough nobody threw anything at him......

Wonder why Extreme, especially Nuno didn't get the recognition they deserved. &/0r to be honerd by the Rock'n'Roll Hall of fame. I think it was too soon for them to break up in the mid 90's. I truely believe they could have made & left a big mark in the music industry if they stayed together & worked things out then. Eventhough they got back together in '05/6 it was too long of a break as a group. Sad that their so under-rated.Nuno is one of the best guitar players of all time! Extreme is great!

@NunoN41984 I think the problem was the singer... he is often shouting or out of tune... I saw a lot of videos by extreme, I 've bought their first 3 CDs. I liked them a lot, really, I think Nuno is one of the best rock guitar I've ever heard but sometimes I cannot listen to Cherone, he goes out of the borders...

Nuno is a monster!!!

The thing with most band is that you hear great record and great technic, but you wonder if they can keep up live, and most don't. But Extreme really manage to kick as live.

Nuno hits every fucking note like in the record. I like Gary as a frontman when he had long hair, like in freddie's tribute, now he looks kind of gay with short hair. I liked his performance, even when nobody does.
