Cher never could sing. She is often flat, off key, and has almost no ability to truly interpret a lyric. Cher even admits she's not the best singer. So, what is Cher? She's an entertainer - lots of glitz, clothing and hair and a strong stage presence. Nothing wrong with that. Take her or leave her. On the whole, I can take Cher in very, very small doses.

Is there really a need to slate her by saying she can't sing? she has an amazing voice, I admit, some song she's no as good on, but she is a great singer and a legend. also how has she lasted in the music business for nearly 50 years, if she's no good? She has had some great songs. Which is more that can be said for the crap music which is around today!

Cher has a passion for what she does, she sings beautifully, not because of the sound but of the words that have so much meaning. Even so, her singing voice is BRILLIANT. She has been in the music business for so long, and I dont think you would last very long yourself. You'd be surprised what you would find out if you knew her.

There is a Four Seasons version that sounds better than the Walker Brothers version. Bob explained it was record exec politics that the Walker Brothers version was promoted over the Four Seasons. But where did the Walker Brother go after it? How many Tony winning Broadway plays are based after the Walker Brothers?

@MrWilliamtom The Walker Brothers did loads after that....Scott continued his career solo after they split and has continued recording. A film was made about him a couple of years back called '30th Century Man'. He married a Dutch woman and has a daughter.

it was soooo perfect on the Xfiles episode. She has said she really regrets not agreeing to be on the show instead of just letting them use her songs. She should regret it - she would have made a super episode a perfect one.
