  • Well, I'm a recorder player and I can tell this tonality is better on my instrument than the Eb original mood. I was looking for an A minor version of the tune and findthis tutorial. Very intersting.

  • bravissimaaa!!! XD

  • That scares me.

The music played is normal yet the hands are diabolical.

  • @RyeBai see a shrink? good luck.

  • @RyeBai Yeah, you're kind of a retard, RyeBai

  • jazz scales are so interesting

  • your fantasic

  • yeah but in the actual song the piano pretty much plays the same thing for the whole song, it doesnt do that sax part...

  • I agree this is terrible

  • Kinda slow

  • This song is kinda helping me with how to move my hands on the keys to minimize effort.. It's so much easier the way you do it. Thanks.

  • @WhatYouKnowAboutFunk hey man relax its just a tutorial slowed down a bit..be a little more respectful

  • Hm it would help if you put more emotion into the pice and bring out its real playing, i also kinda agree with WhatYouKnowAboutFunk you really shouldnt be making a tuturiol for players that are a class level of recruit thi song is not made to be a tuturiol on the internet and should be read. Just sayin...

  • @WhatYouKnowAboutFunk read the video description mr critic

  • The original is in E- I believe? anyway, that doesn't really matter.

But the B-/ D should really be played with the left hand!

  • @TheMrbrainwash read the video description?

re the LH, I play as the score notates.

  • @TheMrbrainwash: The original is in Eb, and it had no keyboard break. 5/4 was a Desmond/Brubeck trio played collaboration (more or less). The keyboard score is it's "kick" as it carries the bass and rhythm rather than the melody. When written, it was difficult with the band -- now with auto-transpose it's a piece of cake (the sax originally carried the melody). Try it old and new style and you'll immediately notice the keyboard difficulty. Very clever version of modern Jazz.

  • take a look at the sheet

  • @TheMrbrainwash i play from sheets :)

  • The tutorial is just fine. Sure her telling the letter names would be easier, who cares? I hate when people complain people don't say the letters. If you really want to play it you will. No letters means you really have to take your time with it to memorize. Oh no, you might actually have to learn something. Why oh why can't this be the easiest way possible? You could just as easily watch her video and write out the letters yourself if you weren't LAZY.

  • @livingredwolf comment deleted for rudeness and foul language. repost if you want to state your opinion with clean words

  • That is a god awful tutorial.

  • @Saarkia thanks

  • @Saarkia haha sarkasm

  • that is a sin to dave brubeck! This is the wrong way to play it....

  • @Howick20 confessed and he forgave :)

  • @tabletadieppa it means no problem

  • hey!didn't you make a tutorial for the naruto shippuden song' grief and sorrow? i kind of recognize those hands from that tutorial!

  • @tabletadieppa sadness and sorrow

  • @bbdhrggl oh sorry...

  • @bbdhrggl what does that mean? im sorry i just created my account and im not sure what a lot abbreviations mean. haha.:>

  • try a different angel of the camera... because i cannot see the the keys you use.

    thank you.

  • @sufkluts look at the piano videos on the right column. See anything clearer?

  • You got the definition of "piano-fingers", hehe.

  • it would help a lot if you wrote down the notes... this is a demo, not a tutorial

  • @shaileshpanth please do not use my tutorials, they are for those who read music or play by ear

  • Its a great tutorial and finaly i'm able to play this song

i am very thankfull for that bbdhrggl :)

    Its just a bit confusing.

it seems the Intro and the 1st part of the song is both in G minor

Its all about G-minor and F Major. so this [A] may be a bit confusing

    Cheers Nik

  • @Nikbab LOL, now I'm really confused too. xD

Actually, this entire score is in A Minor. The sharps and flats are notated. In all my tutorials, an alphabet inside a bracket denotes the Section and has nothing to do with music notes. Whew!

Congrats on learning this tough song. :)

  • i had to watch this vid 1000 times just to get the first part u dont even teach i thought it was a tutorial..?

  • @PSP3000user Aha. You just gave me an idea. I should make it faster to get more hits! jk.

Are you sure you watched the slow parts at the end? Also, do you know this piece is about Level 10. What Level are you?

  • @bbdhrggl 11.

  • @hobodude8 wow, you must be really good!

  • I haven't been playing the piano very long and I know I can play this. I don't think level has to do with the visual learning. You are playing pretty fast. I just don't think level and us learning based on the way you're teaching correlates. Nice playing though.

  • @JaCoolie18 I think you are wrong about level and visual learning. Can any of us swim like Michael Phelps?

  • @bbdhrggl That's not my point. I was just responding to the comment below. Just because PSP can't learn visually at the pace you're going doesn't mean his/her level has to be questioned. The two don't link up. I'm learning from the video anyway though. Just saying.

  • @PSP3000user stfu

  • bbdhrggl you continue to amaze me, thanx alot !!!

  • Do you know other jazz or blues songs? could you please make a tutorial of other? thanks

  • not really, i just try to play whatever is requested, you can request a song, but please follow instructions (under my profile).

  • Ok haha umm could you please make a tutorial of the song Africa by Toto please? I think u're really amazing! and that song rocks! thanks

  • Yes, please! It would be great if you could make a tutorial in the original version!! Thank you in advance :)

  • Done

  • original is in Ges Major

  • Thanks for your comment. You're right about the six flats. Key is Eb minor. I even have the score. This transcription is in A minor (from C major). I should upload the original version. It sounds better.

  • please upload it :))

  • oops, i shouldn't have said that. Do you want just the at tempo part, or a slow tutorial too? hope it's just the former.

  • i would like the one G major, but i think its a bit long to remake a lesson, isnt it ?

  • it's a day or two's work. i wouldn't hesitate if it weren't for my my other 43 new song requests waiting...

  • this is a very good tutorial but if you could do the slow bit slower that would be great

thank you for the great tutorials anyway

  • Picked up something from you, thanks

  • sweet im learning this

  • Thanks , it helped me a lot!

    :)
