Assassin's creed was all in all a pretty good game, even with it's repetitiveness, prince of persia does not come at all near it. The prince may not actually die in this, instead it almost bored me to death.
Love this game, great graphics, nice story, great characters, brings back memories from the old 2D ages.
To all of you haters who say you can't die in this game, got a few things to say:
1) In the sot-series, you could die, but you could also rewind time. I've actually almost never seen a game over screen in the whole series because of that. Elika saving you actually acts alot like the rewind in the SoT-series.
2) Can't die, but you get your ass saved by a flying woman, equally punishing...
@causerkid Yeah, the previous games were much better. you actually got to kill people. instead of the same monsters over and over again..... if you play the first 20 mins in this game there's no point in playing any more....
This game was too easy, the combat was simplistic, long, annoying and very repetitive, and the freerunning was way too simple and inaccurate. The only thing that made want to play this game to the end was the beautiful graphics and the story.
not only that you can't even die in this game, you won't even see blood apart from red, red not bloody, screen ( when you are near "death"--that never occurs thanks to Alika or whatever her name is ;) )
by the way : it might be cool to fly and walk on walls as "powers" but I really mist that " oh no, I fell in the abiss again, let me rewind time" thing from the POS trilogy

I didnt play this game by now, but I ordered online. The Sands games are really good, but they are a Trilogy and that Story arc was completed, so I was very looking forward when they made the new game with a complete new Setting. But everyone is bitching , because it's so different to SoT. It's just like with all these Zelda ooT fanboys , who hated Wind Waker just because it looked different. Also, Ubi took a big step back when they made the current Pop again a SoT reboot. That just sucks

Awful game. I think that 7/10 is very generous, it was pretty but it was way to repetitive and YOU COULDNT DIE. And why did u have to trek backwards and forwards across the map constantly, i wouldnt give this more than 4/10
I actually appreciate the combat. They remade the whole game and took a risk using a different style of combat. They were trying something different and it was far from a terrible game buddy. 7.5/10

Completely different. The game only has boss fights now. And if you don't think you'll buy it for the story of the game then don't buy it. But I liked it a lot.

Thanks for calling me a kid basically... And the game is easy and is playable as is I think. The companion brings you back to right where you were when you die, so it's fairly easy. The game shows a story of two people, from different backgrounds, that have a crush on each other but won't admit it and you see them grow closer through the adventure. The game is highly repetitive however, like Assassin's Creed. But if you pay attention to only the story and listen to the dialogue it's worth it.

Yeah, the ending was a little unsatisfying, but I'm guessing they left it like that to leave it open for a sequal. They even hinted at that. Mediocre sequels? Hey. Prince of Persia Warrior Within and Two Thrones were awesome. I am not saying that Sands of Time was shit but the sequels had some nice stories, great graphics and improved combat system. They were at least good as Sands of Time so saying that they were mediocre is definetley wrong.

Actually I quite like the story part of the pop games, does it have difficulty levels or is it just playable as is. (Im a bit of an old fart in the gaming world and need to take it a bit easier than you young fellas)

Thanks for calling me a kid basically... And the game is easy and is playable as is I think. The companion brings you back to right where you were when you die, so it's fairly easy. The game shows a story of two people, from different backgrounds, that have a crush on each other but won't admit it and you see them grow closer through the adventure. The game is highly repetitive however, like Assassin's Creed. But if you pay attention to only the story and listen to the dialogue it's worth it.

the only reason i bought this game is because i thought it would be something like assassins creed, turns out it was nothing like it. this game was very aggrevating and boring.

I liked the combat, but grew tired of just running around collecting orbs. Not much of a game there. Liked it overall, could have been way better though

This game is prodably the best PoP game so far and lets not let anyone say otherwise. Hope for Prince of Persia 2. I hope its even better than the new game. Witch is also awesome.

it was fun the first 3 days, then i got bored of doing the same things, and fighting is pointless since you cant die -.-. the sands of times series are far better, just my opinion thou :).

i haven't really played this game much, But from what i have played, its nothing like the older PoP games.. which could be good.. or bad, I see that its now PG O_O and that there is no blood.. or dying, which is my most favorite parts of games.. so I dunno how this will turn out to be.. I hope the next one has blood and gore, instead of a rating that my 5 year old cousin can play...

Yeah, the ending was a little unsatisfying, but I'm guessing they left it like that to leave it open for a sequal. They even hinted at that. Also, I totally agree with you tomm897, I think this is an amazing game too. I don't know why a lot of people don't like this game Why? Because you can't die? So What? To tell you the truth, I wish more games were like that and I hope more games will be like that in the future. Well bye.

boo this game is casual I don't see a fucking point playing a game that won't let you die and I hate any game that forces you to do tutorials (like most of the new games by "n00b" law) and I hate any feature of a game that feels like its holding you by the hand especialy this game.
I'm starting to get really sick of most of the new games cause most latest games are aimed for casual gamers, I don't give a fuck about the latest visuals, I care about fun gameplay and a decent challenge dammit.

I personally love this game. There hasen't been a game in a while that I admire as much as this game. It's so much fun to play and it's beautiful to look at. I think this Prince Of Persa game is better than The Sands Of Time. However, I wonder, is this game supossed to be a remake, prequal, or sequal?

Mediocre sequels? Hey. Prince of Persia Warrior Within and Two Thrones were awesome. I am not saying that Sands of Time was shit but the sequels had some nice stories, great graphics and improved combat system. They were at least good as Sands of Time so saying that they were mediocre is definetley wrong.
