You gotta understand, the people saying Southern is "better" mean that they're "louder" ... but not really much more. Our high school played against schools like Booker T. Washington, Capital High, etc ... I used to blow them out of the water when they'd challenge me ... Course those schools had 3-5 tubas to our one (me)... Just gotta play their game (be louder).

the fact of the matter is that LSU is good at the things THEY do and SOUTHERN is better at the things THEY do. Neck is traditionally a HBCU song. the way they play it doesn't compare to the way it is played at most HBCU's. That's just the truth of the matter. Its like LSU trying to out showband a showband, or for Southern to try and out chorus-style LSU, they would look like goofballs.
