i was wondering about that dude, because it is the States. isn´t it? Where else will or can you see a Challenger that much. I love this car, too, i have seen a couple in my hometown, too, but this dude is like watching a stealth fighter plane.
I myself drive a Mustang GT Convertible and all the people turning heads, too.
I say the funny thing is when I drove mine for the first time people thought it was the Camaro and I was getting stopped by cops just to look at the engine.
I know how you feel, when I took a Challenger out for a a little fun, people continued to honk at me and stare at the car. One person wanted to race me. Overall, its a lot of fun because you feel so awesome driving a Challenger. lol
They do in Canada. It has the same 250 hp 3.5 V6 as the SE, but with heated leather seats, MyGIG Nav, and sunroof. Actually, it is now Nov 22 2009 and I've already made my vehicle purchase: a 2008 Charger SE with the 3.5 high output V6 (250hp). I really wanted a Challenger, but this fit my budget a lot better. It's mint and I got a smokin deal on it. I also plan to spiff it up quite a bit.
Yeah, my friend told me he gets chased down a lot. They had actual people follow him at 90 miles an hour in a mini van just so that they could drive up next to him and snap a picture with their cell phone. The guy had his entire family in the car. I thought that was pretty funny but very dangerous.
As far as the Challenger being old news soon, not exactly. The First Editions, only 6,400 of them, are individually numbered and will always be unique. Even when the crappy V6's come out.
Theyre taking pics to send to the local PD, ur taking up 2 parking spaces, I would Key IT!!! lol jk,, but others would. Thats why I dont park like that.

Wait a few months until people start buying the cheaper lesser models of the challenger (R/T).. By next summer the streets will be swarming with them as they do now with chargers.. cool car though.
I have already pre-ordered my 09 SRT8. That will be the one I drive the most. This is just the car I'm storing in my Garage for the next 30 years and driving only a couple of hundred miles each year.
I cant wait for the 09 SRT8 with the Pistol Grip Manual!!!!!!

It's Just a car people. A Nice car at that, but it's still just a car.
A couple of years from now the roads will be full of them and everyone will have forgotten all about them.
In 2010 they are offering a V-6 which rental companies will jump all over...once that happens the "Challenger" will be old news.
