in islam we have a lot of respect and love for mary mother of jesus, she has one of the highest stations in our religion, a truly wonderful inspiration to all mankind, we even have a whole chapter of the Quran (holy book) dedicated to her :)

Both Roman Catholics and Muslims have great respect for Mother Mary. In the Catholic faith- we believe that Mother Mary married Joseph and remained a virgin her entire life and they raised Jesus (as I'm sure you already know)

Catholics believe that Mary was and still is a virgin and raised Jesus and was married to Joseph.

In Islam, however, (this is only what I've heard, so if I'm wrong, please forgive me) they also hold her in great respect and believed she was a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus, but they don't believe she was married to St. Joseph- and that people called her a whore and whatnot- hence the "I wish I was there to defend you" lyrics.

Read the Qur'an -- “Let there be no compulsion in religion." (Qur'an 2:256); "Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans - those who believed in God and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve." (Qur'an 2:62).

However certain things on the internet are haram and obviously can't be viewd. Photographs are not haram. Only man made pictures of humans and animals are.
