some one wrote king of ghazal.. he is but not the Emperor.. he can be near to some of greats but as they there is one Lata, One rafi, one nusrat and so in ghazal there undisputable one Mehdi hassan. not even ghulam comes near to him.. anyway sachin u got kool voice man :p

@kaisersatti Y not. he is! undoubtedly!Gr8 Mehdi Hasan Sahb was a master in singing classicals and applied his mastery to ghazal singing, dat is his greatness. but ghazal singing is not synonymous to singing classicals. Ghazals are first written by poets and then sung by singers. its not necessary to sing in a tough classical form. what is essential, is to convey the soul of the poetry sensitively while preserving its beauty! nd no1 has done it better than Jaggi till date.

@kaisersatti he stresses on simplicity and putting emotions in his ghazals rather than intricacies of classical singing not because he can't sing classicals. he is a well trained and accomplished classical singer. but he broke out of tradition and developed his own style- more popular, and most importatly, more effective than any form of ghazal singing ever developed. To skeptics it might be an exaggeration, but to me he owes same reputation in ghazal singing as Mirza Ghalib in ghazal writing

Sachin has a really soothing vioce. Looking at the pictures I get a feeling that Jagjitji treats him like his own son. He is a worthy successor of Jagjitji in ghazal singing.

he is not Jagjit singhji's son..........His son's name was Vivek and he died 17 years ago...in 1991....sadly......these videos are very recent.........even I also want to know how is he...looks like he is very close to jagjit ji....lucky guy

He has a good voice but this is studio work thats why the voice has alot of bass or sounds echoey. The music is conducted seperate the harmonium was also out of rythem. All round not to bad.

I must say he does have a good voice. I dont think he wants to immitate Nusratji. His emotions and spirituality is great. He is his own individual. I actually heard this young lad live and was very touched by his voice. His voice has quite a lot of bass for a young man. All I must say is,he is a young man and has great talent.
