You know I respect you Rob, but isn't it fair to say that none of us really know if there was consciousness before we were born or if there will be any afterwards. To make such an absoluteness statement that there isn't any consciousness before or after is something none of us humans can clearly know from our current vantage point. To hold such a view with such absoluteness is just as arrogant as self-righteous christians claiming to have all the answers.
The bottom line is we only have this moment right now at this point in time. We can only experience what's happening right now at this very moment. Past and present are only concepts that cannot be experienced directly. Therefore, if we want to make this moment count. It's obviously best to live life for oneself instead of living according to someone else's rules which were only created to gain control over others.
@Telekon5 You're right of course, but I am a simple being. I go with what I know and understand. I can't make that leap of faith that says we live for eternity, or live many lives through reincarnation. Even in the comparatively short time of 2000 years since most modern religions were invented, if there were such a place as heaven, it must be very crowded with the billions of people who have already died.
But I don't understand quantum physics either, so I'll concede :-)
LOL The fact is that we don't know what happens after death... Is it and end or a beginning? I like the way you made light of this thorny subject of debate.
You know Rob I am an African American lesbian one of the things that has brought a lot of joy to my life is when i purchased a phone that has youtube. When I came out I was 29yrs old and in a treatment center for alcholism. I have been sober now for 17yrs. It would have been nice to have someone like you around to help bring me to a greater understanding. I am very happy I found your channel.
@cynt123able I'm very happy you found my channel too, Cynt! One thing is certain - unless we are "born with a silver spoon in our mouths", most of us are destined to travel a rocky path through at least part of our lives. But although we can have some amazing highs and dramatic lows, it all goes to make us into the whole people we become. As my grandfather used to say, "Accept all experiences gratefully". And he went through two World Wars and The Depression, and lost his first wife at age 38!
Coolest vid yet Mister Rob I like this one! On anoter note, when some of my ignorant friends see me checking my youtube account, they make immature comments since I'm subbed to a channel about an alternate lifestyle They jokingly question my hetero creadentials but that doesn't make a difference to me at all. I tell them that the more diverse human beings are exposed to one another, the more peaceful the world will become. I hope this comes off as encouragement to keep making vids.
@ImaginaryGod Thank you for watching! I like your philosophy. Funny how that never works in reverse though. I can honestly say that I have never had a gay friend question my sexuality for watching straight videos! ;-)
@cynt123able It seems such a waste of life for all those who exhibit religious leanings towards an afterlife. Even employing Pascal's wager, imagine the vast amount of time wasted thinking, hoping, praying for an impossible dream. That time could be spent improving their own lives and the lives of those around them in more productive ways.
@AncientAtheist Hi John! It still amazes me how many people are so easily led into such nonsense. Indoctrination is one thing, but how does that remove common sense? If parents told kids, "Run off a cliff, and you will be able to fly!", at some point growing up, a person's common sense would kick in, and they would know that they would end up as mush! The Jesus shield deflects all reason.
Thanks for the comment btw, but I'm not pretty enough to make it on YouTube. Cynical, moi? ;-)
@dooshahn Thanks. Hell has to be more fun, I reckon! The guys are always hot at least!
;-)
It's only regular Pinnacle Studio 15, but the weird thing is, this is now the third video I've made with it, and on the computer, it is rendered in its proper widescreen HD. I upload it to YouTube, and it looks like it's been stuffed into a shoebox, and shown at half resolution! I have no idea why they keep altering the 16:9 ratio to 4:3, but it's damned annoying.
@SteeveeStrange It's a nice, cosy idea that instead of dying, you suddenly achieve the incredible power of immortality, simply for following a book of 12C ramblings. I wouldn't want to go to heaven anyway. It would be like a massive old people's home, and probably smells of mothballs, Deep Heat and stale wee!
Thanks for the compliment, Steve! (You should have seen the bottom half of that costume. So tight, it looked like I was wearing a red lycra jumpsuit with knee-high leather boots!
@RobNorthampton Woof! Oh please, go on Rob. xP I knew the devil Rob was in tights, looking hot! I just realized you do the family friendly thing while keeping a little sexiness in the subtext quite well. Maybe it's why I like your vids so much. OK, it's a major factor.
@kern0099 Ahh! That was weird. I got an email with your comment, but it didn't show up here. Now, 5 mins later, here it is! Thanks for your support, Adam.
Speaking of support, to be honest, I was wearing a red backless thong underneath. (Well you want stuff to match, don't ya chuck?) It was just *too* revealing to go to a crowded party without the extra layer of material! :-)
@RobNorthampton *whew* I never thought I'd say this, but let's cool down this thread! Lol. {fans face, composure people!} Anyway, the email thing is YT's new user's be damned feature? It's been making nice bugs for me too. You're the best as usual Rob, so good to see my favorite Youtuber making a vid!
[To tell you the truth, I actually dressed up as the devil for a Halloween party in 2010, so I filmed that bit then! I only just got around to using it in a video! :-) ]
It is a brilIant concept.I will give then that.But.I have come to no conclusions other then the fact religion was created by the weakest of men. Those whos mere existance is based on materialist gain and power. It has done nothing but lay a path of distruction everywhere it is found upon the face of this planet.I am only a mere pocket rocket scientist. But I have all this shit figured out. That is fact and that is my reality. It is far more easy for some to look without then within.
@BryanAndBaileysZoo The older we get, Bryan, the more that reality kicks in. I think you have a good grasp of how things really are. It must be very difficult to live in a society where the majority still want to believe that we are all little children, and some greater THING is floating around out there like a judgemental absent parent, waiting to scoop us up when we croak our last.
@tenneral Thank you very much, Michael! I think YouTube is struggling with my editing. It looks all jumpy my end. And you don't want a jumpy end, do you?
Is there life after death? Seeing as how many places around the world like to believe as such, and have "illegitimate" examples of such things occurring, i'm inclined to agree. Reincarnation even.
Also, the end of this is actually a little freaky xD
@RobNorthampton Well, I was referring to you being freaky without make-up, but no, I've never had the devil in me. I did have someone dressed like a vampire, once...oh, but that was years ago...

What software you made this vid with? I'd like to figure out the aspect ratio thing. Or you made it on purpose, because you want to look slim? ;)
