Just look at russian team and the popular players they had. so it doesent matter how many NHL players sweden has, its the team spirit and how well the team works together not the background of the players. Its risky because you mighty drop it or shoot it in the wrong place. Also its harder to direct so if the goalie is well positioned its hard to get in the back. Also there is the threat of high sticking.

@sanrus2007 It's not about if the stick is higher than the cross bar, it's where the puck hits the stick. That is the stick can make contact with the puck at 4 feet high and anywhere below. This is most likely what the refs talked about when they reviewed the play. Furthermore the puck goes up into the net, not down, so it was "lacrosse-styled" in from below 4 feet. Second, the stick "almost" hit Barulin in the head? Don't you mean it didn't hit him in the head?

2. the stick almost hit goalies mask, which means it should be considered as a high sticking. Granlund was supposed to get 2 minutes for that
