Clearly both Utahns and Americans in general are forgetting that this country was founded to escape the very orthodoxy they seem to yearn for, as evidenced by these crosses paid for with public funds. We have freedom of religion in the USA largely because we specifically don't allow public funds to pay for anything promoting a particular religion, in this case Christianity.
Bravo to the Supreme Court for upholding our constitution and removing these spending violations of public funds.
No where in the US Constitution will you see or even come close to the words of separation of church and state. Those words in itself are a violation of the 1st Amendment. Those words say there cannot be ANY religion in government. SO I am President of the US and I cannot have any religion. But the 1st amendment does not say that, but the opposite. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...

I don't get why they have to be crosses. The cross is so overused. Why don't they put up a Hindu swastika or that Muslim crescent moon instead?
