Don't know really, more than that it's a pejorative. Maybe some condescending people from uptown, hehe!

  • @karlosrules Jezebel/credel, common deejay rhymes. I guess it's one of those things you wouldn't want to call your girlfriend when you're mad.

  • Dude finally got the studio 1 battke of the djs lp over the summer...amazing...yo runnit whats the first line jazzbo says in this song? Or whoever the first dj is on kechi shubi?

  • @karlosrules Hi there Karlos! Yes, it's pupa Jazzbo, alright! The first line is:

"I and I no call di doctor, dem credel..."

  • @runitselectah I think the first line is "I and I no call di daughter, dem credel..."

Just my input from listening at the highest level on my DJ Sony Headphones!!

    Could be wrong though!!

  • @Razor2305 Sounds more right, yeah!

  • likelikelike

  • bam ! bam!! right !

  • These are all Studio One tracks. You can hear clearly that the backing tracks are all from the original S1 Vin Gordon track 'Heavenless' with overdubs added. During the rub-a-dub era and digital eras, every producer recut Heavenless. Those versions are great, but these three tracks are most definitely dubbed from the original foundation track.

  • ranger ride dis one to di death....one a di foundation riddim fi real...is now dem manage fi mek bassline so deep bak den?...studio one must re open!!!

  • I saw an interview with the engineer from Studio One, and he said the engineer would mic the bass amp from the back of the amp to get that deep reggae sound.
