@FabricioBGil Because if everyone played the same way, life would be pretty damn boring. Your statement is like saying, "why would you want to run marathons when you can run a 500m?" or vice versa. People play what they want to play, it all has its own skill sets involved. You, as a musician (presumably you are one) should be able to recognize skill when you see it, no matter what kind of music it is.
@EnvenomAscension He's pretty skilled, anyone can see that. I get what you say, and believe it or not, I aggree when you say people should not play the same. I just don't get why someone would sound like a machine playing. That's so accurate that the human imperfections that is part of music as an art is missing, that's all I'm saying. He sounds like a proggramed drum of a computer.
@FabricioBGil I getcha. I was told I sound like a drum machine on the recent album I record for Nethervoid. I guess that's a good thing because I was able to play that tight, but I don't want people thinking my drum tracks are edited or quantized or some bullshit like that, because they ARE NOT. I don't have any respect for that shit. Tony's drumming isn't all perfect and neither is anyone who is a real player who doesn't trigger every drum and have everything quantized.
killing it!

So where is the groove? Where is the feeling? What's the point of playing drums like a freaking robot?
