  • What a boring film. Why did the filmmakers feel the need to create so much exposition when almost none of the new characters were even slightly interesting? Especially the villian, both his motives/presence were so typical & bland that it almost ruined many of the scenes he was involved with. The villian and plot notwithstanding, I do feel the action scenes were good, but a bit too shaky to save the film... However, Daniel Craig is great as Bond, I'll admit. Still, I respect your opinion Fury.

  • this is a waste of a film. it feels like a trailer to the next film. They are showing how bond becomes the bond we know today. but they alredy did that in casino royale which was a perfect bond movie. Quantum of Solace was totally unnecessery an will be forgotten.

  • Thank god they got rid of the invisible cars and laser beam watches that could cut through inch thick steel.. Yes, it's Bond, and you have to suspend your feelings of disbelief through some parts of it, but a Bond that doesn't have to rely on some super cheesy gimmick to save his butt every time gets my enthusiastic stamp of approval.

  • Daniel Craig is (arguably) the best James Bond, and I have to say that it was not as good as Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace still continues the character of Bond, little moments, sure, but moments nonetheless.

I love how you're hitting on D there. LOL

  • I am sick of this Daniel Craig isn't a real James Bond shit. Daniel Craig is the most believable Bond ever, I actually believe he's fighting not just an actor performing stunts. His Bond is somebody who could fight Jason Born, I could not believe any of the other Bonds including Brosnan could have dun that.

  • Quantum Of Solace was alright...But Casino Royale was muuuch better.

  • any of you who think daniel craig is horrible as james bond can kiss my ass, as much as connerry, brosnan, and others were all witty, gracious, suave, and charming, JAMES BOND WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE, charming dreamy, or even suave, ian flemmings characterization of bond was ORIGINALLY supposed to be more of BOLD, IRONIC, cold, and just a killing machine and CRAIG does a good job bringing the real depiction of bond to life. ok and its a FACT.

  • My OPINION is FACT and ANYONE who DISAGREES with IT can KISS my ASS.

    Yeah, no.

also, there is no need for caps, it's annoying.

  • you gave this movie silver? god i hated it, so damn confusing!!! and the action scenes sucked! i thought it was also hilarious that it have EVERY type of chase scene in it you could think of!

  • my order for bonds are:

    Pierce Brosnan

    Rodger Moore

    Sean Connery

    Timothy Dalton

    George Lazenby

I do not like Daniel Craig at all, for the fact that he does not fit the bond profile...i do not like the new movies because they get rid of everything that makes bond, bond...such as gadgets/Q branch, Moneypenny, and what is with the gun-barrel theme at the end. These are only a few reasons why i do not like the new bonds at all...the movies wouldn't be bad if the bond name was not used.

  • Actually if you read the books he reflects bond the most.

  • this movie was dragged out and gave you a feeling of restless and super hot and stuffy from the bad acting, cast, and the fact you have to see the 1st D.C. before you can understand anything. Maybe its just becuase i live in Florida but still!

  • i think pierce brosnan and timothy dalton were the best bonds

  • I like all the bonds, but i grew up with the moore films, so im goin with roger moore

  • Gads.. this goes on for a FULL 1 minute and 45 seconds before you get to the review. THEN you take a break about cell phones. Then you take ANOTHER Break about a baby in the theater. I had to stop watching at 3:30. Too boring.

  • oh well, take your adhd pills next time.

  • Maybe I should. Or maybe your stuff should be more interesting.

Questions... questions.. questions... flubbing their way into the mind of the concerned American today!

  • next time i'll juggle while lighting a cigarette. just for you.

  • Hmmm... just so it does not take too long! :-)

  • sean connery IS james bond.

  • CASINO ROYALE with cheese???? shit movie. might as well put indiana jones in a bingo hall playing for a magical bingo card. take action packed scenes and turn them into close ups of old ladies faces as they BLEED FROM THEIR EYES! SHIT SHIT SHIT. Or take John Matrix from commando and take him off the island and put him on a casino boat playing FUCKING SLOTS for jenny's life

  • Daniel Craig probly

  • Wow... I can't believe how many people are saying Craig is the BEST Bond... WTF?!?

OK so everyone's got their own opinions I guess, but.. jeeeez...

Personally I find him a bit bland compared to previous Bonds. It might not necessarily be his fault (more the scripts he's been given) but to me his Bond has none of the traditional elements that make Bond great - the suave cockiness, the wit and charm etc.

He just.. doesn't feel like James Bond to me. I'm amazed to see people saying hes the best.

  • Between Sean, Pierce, and Daniel. I can't decide

  • Sean C.

  • agreed loved this movie

  • Why not remake James bond and set it in the 60s? and Sean Connery is the best!

  • great reveiw

  • just saw it today. it was different... BUT GOOD!

  • craig just blowed everything away fucking fantastic bond role

  • wtf is with the attempt at humour?

i disagree with you, i felt that this movie was poor and the action scenes were extremely bad, especially the opening car chase, mainly due to the shaky camera. i did like casino royale and the performances in both are really good but this movie did not live up to my expectations.

  • i disagree with u this is a darker more action bond and even u have to admitt the last few bond films i.e the world is not enough was a crappy film

  • I've heard lots of people say that there are lots of scenes taken from the Bourne series. Which scenes? I'd like to know.

  • I found casino royale much better, this movie was not as good, casino royale and the dark knight are really the only two movies within these 2 years that had real impact on me.

  • id have to say Craig.

  • i dont mean to be buggy but this review was too long and tiring .. get to the point.

  • Aur0rah- ok Here's the point for those who are too impatient to finish a video. The Movie is Good.

  • I saw Casino Royale and I really liked it but when I saw I didn't know what to think maybe I'll give Quantom Of Solace Another chance and watch it when comes out on DVD

  • Sean Connery. The original and best.

  • If you wanted a female computer voice, it probably would have worked better to get a voice synthesis program. ;-) There are some very good ones now.

  • but then wifey would feel bad

  • oh...sorry. ;-)

  • Daniel Craig was born harf a mile away from my house in Liverpool.

  • yes I know, it was mentioned in the end credits.

  • My favorite Bond character has to be Daniel Craig for 2 reasons

    1. He brings a level of emotion to the Bond character that no one has seen before.

    2. He's from the same town as me haha :P

    Great review Fury.

  • One on the best Bond films! Felt exactly like a Bond film should. Way better than CR. And good review lol!

  • I enjoyed the movie and enjoyed the review. Well said. As a Movie I gave it 7.5...as a Bond Movie I gave it an 8.5...maybe a 9.

  • This is easily your best review yet, but I gotta say, I wasn't too happy with QOS, it just didn't feel like a James Bond movie to me.

  • Hi Fury! this is easily your best review ever!!

But I beg to differ. I think the new bond is boring. The action sequences are too hastily cut, one can never see anything. The villain is not evil enough. He wants to sell expensive mineral water to the Bolivians? So what? And Bond has no gadgets, no flying or diving car, no laser, nothing. They turned him into a Jason Bourne clone, and that's boring. YOUR gadgets were cooler (maybe you did that as a hidden punch?) And why does he have sex...

  • ...with agent Fields (the red head), if he is sooooo sorry about Vesper's death in the last film? Illogical to me. On the other hand, if Bond is ready for sex again, why does he not sleep with Olga Kurylenko who is much hotter than the English red head girl?

there is more critique, maybe I write again later.

  • On a side note, I really can't stand people like this. The kind of person who will say,"Hey I don't mean to be an asshole but(insert insult here). You can't excuse being a dick with well worded sentences or an apology before it.If anybody wants to share an opinion about something go right ahead but there's a respectable way to do things there's no need to be antagonizing.Youtube consists of people sharing work, free work and if you tear down those who put in the effort to provide you SOME content

  • then nobody will want to put up videos.Just felt like saying that.

  • hey furry i dont mean to be an asshole, but your a fucking bitch

  • There ya go!perfect example. Thanks Traffick02

  • Fury was that you at 2:12? Lol... love how you implement the family in your reviews... having to hit on your wife :P. Anyway, Im not a diehard Bond fan, but I would say that my favorite Bond was Brosnan only because whenever I think of Bond, I see Pierce Brosnan. Nice review too.

  • nah man that wasn't me, I was the one spraying him.

  • Ye I know, it was just mean as a joke. But nice review.

  • I didn't have impression that I am watching James Bond movie, but rather lousy clone of Bourne's Identity.

This is more serious movie than other Bond movies, but this is no more Bond movie!

  • racerx11080- It is moving very far from the Bond we have all come to know. I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. Batman Begins moved away from what it used to be and it ended up telling some very good stories. I agree that Bond SHOULD keep his Bondish attributes and not be so quiet and contemplating like Bourne. Hopefully next movie he'll be in a better mood.

  • I agree with you that this is good movie, but it is not Bond movie any more, it is Hollywood movie about any tough government agent.

Yes they rebooted BATMAN, but they did that in that way that they kick out all bad thing, and made one of the best movies, but they didn't kick batmans costume, or they didn't kick cave, gadgets...

Well they did this in Bond, no gadgets=no bond, no humor=no bond...

  • You can not make realistic Bond movie, Bond is parody and cliche by himself, one man against strongest world crime groups, even whole states, and all that doesn times again. Before he was having advantage in gadgets, now I don't see any advantage, and still this movie is "more real"?!??!? You are right character are more developed, but they will never be developed like in Bourne's identity, also new fight style, never stopping chase, on foot, by car, plain, boat, it is all already seen in BOURNE.

  • RacerX11080- I respect that, a lotta people just don't feel it's Bond anymore. I'm hope it doesn't stay in this direction and I'm hoping the next film will have a lot more of what made the character so unique from other spy agents.

  • ther is no question who the best bond is

    ur american:\ lol

but u should have seen live and let die nonetheless

  • For what it's worth, Fury, Spill(dot)com happens to be my preferred "Partnered" channel.

Thank you for reading and your *kind* considerations,

    A.E.

    -- Former A&E Director

  • Further, your petulant ad hominem consideration of my person (i.e., suggesting I watch a Partnered channel as their "soulless" videos are "right up my alley") shows that you are not remotely interested in a dialog of constructive criticism nor are you interested in listening to the observations of your audience -- instead, you suggest your audience go elsewhere.

Shame on you, Fury, and shame on your snide, base remarks oft-exhibited by the amateurish auteurs before your time.

  • hey fury, who did the british accent?

  • 0410warner- Wifey, the only one that can do something so ridiculous and still wanna be with me.

  • I believe you have made the right choice then. :)

  • Daniel Craig

  • This movie sucked monkeyfuck(almost). 2/5

  • No it didnt, its one of the best James Bond movies

  • pretty crap film i would give it 3/5

  • Man, this is the most funny review i ever seen, im going to see the movie today!!

Oh, and my favorite James bond is Sean Conery

  • hey fury why wasn't this good enough to be a gold fury award film? Personally i thought it deserved that. What wasn't perfect?

  • (Couldn't find comment option on your site)

    Aah! Fake English accent! *cower*

We thought they were trying to make Bond into a same old serious action series, but it was so much more than that. Bond is still witty and suave, but in a more subtle way. The over-the-top action here is what brings it full circle. Daniel Craig: Sean Connery for the 21st Century.

I compare Bond to Batman - Same character, the same series, just a lot more dignified.

    Favourite Bond: Daniel Craig/Roger Moore.

  • DistantJ- I had a problem rending the video for the site but it will be up in a few hours. Thanks for the great comment. What you mean fake English accent ? =)

I'll talk to you more about Bond on the site.

  • Daniel Craig is the best Bond. He makes bond feel more like a man and less like a character in a story. I personally can not wait to see the next installment and how the man shapes and grows. Pierce Brosnan did do a good job but Daniel is just more believable Bond.

  • Good review as always fury.

  • I just came back from watching the quantum of solace and i really enjoyed it. I agree with you on mostly everything. Great review! Also i think the next film will feel more like a bond film.

  • 117edward21- I TOTALLY believe the next Bond is gonna be THE bond film bringing everything together.

  • I'm partial to R. Moore's Bond.

  • Daniel Craig is Amazing

  • haha. nice pickup line in the beginning

  • Since I'm in Quantum of Solace-rush...

    I'll say Daniel Craig,

but my favourite is Timothy Dalton...

  • best bond:Daniel Craig

  • always loved the bond series. good review. i hope to see this film

  • Fawning aside, Fury, this review was quite possibly your worse yet.

Well crafted experimentation is wholly appreciated and, given the vast amount of cookie-cutter dribblings spanning the 'net, a trek down an unappreciated and unpaved path is entirely invited. Gimmicks, however, should be avoid, long-windedness uninvited. Brevity and comprehensiveness should be paramount.

This nearly nine-minute review spends are too much time meandering, and misuses *this* viewers trust.

  • AmadeusExcello- You say "worse yet" which means you have been disappointed in previous reviews I've made. I never made any promises on this channel and I wish you'd use that well worded tongue of yours to make a comment on the movie instead of complaining about my video.Maybe you're better off on a partnered channel where their soulless 4 minute reviews are predictable and formulaic, right up your alley. Thanks for your comment and for stopping by.

  • Fury, perhaps you should ingest and employ a modicum of your own advice (i.e., provide commentary on the movie instead of careening into idle chatter and tangents about mobile phone users and crying children).

Quantum's "review" is a disjointed mess, one that is superfluously littered with filibustering. What's bothersome is how the meat of the review does not begin to solidify or present itself until late in the fifth minute of a nearly nine-minute report. That's ridiculous.

  • I think James Bond is not a real name, but an alias some lucky agents use when they reach 007 status. That is my theory

  • Favorite Bond?

Connery, but Dalton and Craig are close as well...

    Good review!

(Note: Olga Kurylenko is pretty hot...)

  • Didnt mind CR, not watching this at cinema tho, 1 prequel is gd 2 is a stretch, DG is signed on for 2 more bonds, hopefully not prequels, but i dont thk he can ply the preferred classic bond that everyone loves. I like pierce as an actor GE was great bond to.

  • Pierce Brosnan is the best impersonation of Bond. When I think of James Bond, the image of Brosnan pops in my mind.

  • Favorite Bond is either Connery or Craig, I can't decide.

  • Glad to see your back Fury, I didn't get to see Quantum because it was sold out last night :'(

  • i like this movie, but as a Bond movie, i don't know. It just too much Jason Bourne.

  • Quantum of Solace means-little rest. Quantum meaning little like quantum physics. The study of small particles. And sollace meaning rest coming from the word soliitude.

  • Actually, Quantom of Solace means 'a great deal of satisfaction'...

  • why?

  • I guess you can say Bond is getting some satisfaction for avenging his girlfriend from the last film....

  • but the litteral translation is Little Rest

  • Large rest.

  • Quantom dosn't mean large though.

  • the whole thing is about Bond getting some satisfaction for the people who killed Vesper.

  • I think they named it quantum Of sOlace just so they could post the 007 logo vertically in the title like they did on casinO rOyale.

Thank you so much for this review Fury. After a while, I was starting to get discouraged about how disappointing it could be but you reassured my hopes.

  • well DUHH

  • sanjayathenipper- Thanks for the nice comment. I hope you aren't disappointed when you see the movie.

  • Personally, I found that the camera work in the action scenes shifted too fast, so it was kind of hard to follow some of the time.

  • leefypk- I'm like the first to complain about shakey cam but it didn't bother me here, I know it bothered my friend a LOT

  • No kidding. It gets a little bit easier to follow along after a while, but that first scene was a killer on my eyes. XP

  • Sean Connery

  • i think i like sean connery and daniel craig the best, sen for the acting and craig because he brought something new to the series

  • Fury, you smooth talking sliver tounged bastard. I loved the opeing titles, don't think your effort went unnoticed. Cool review BTW.

    -Daniel (DAN13LS70NE)

  • DAN13LS7ONE- Thanks man your comment made me smile, these videos take some time to make and I do it hoping people will enjoy them. plus..I always wanted my own James Bond intro. I woulda came out in the intro and shot the screen but I don't reveal myself =)

  • the beginning of the review caught me off guard and was pretty funny xD

  • by the way, my favorite bond is Sean Connery

  • meatloaf3- I tried to do a little tribute to the movie you know, Im a big james Bond fan.

  • goldeneye is still the best and view to a kill is still second best

  • brosnan

  • Fury what did you think of the Watchmen trailer? Did you shit bricks?

  • vegetta65- ENOUGH TO BUILD A WALL!!!!!!

  • i acctualy like craig best. I love the old bond movies, but i like the new ones better, because it's more.... well, more.

  • haha fury, shouldn't the pen silent the movie too ?^_^"

thanks for the review,i love james bond, and im going to watch this movie tomorrow :D

  • olegros- the pen is designed to only silence the target , and the target was the baby and his annoying parents.

  • My favourite is Connery, Craig is very good but I would like to see him do a few more bond films before I move him to first place.

My favourte bond movie however is probably Goldeneye

  • agreed

  • good job, like ur comment bout the modern bond, sean conery would be silly in this movie lol

  • 6sillysheep- yeah I mean just think about it he just doesn't fit.

  • I love your reviews, Fury, and nice touch with the Bond stuff in this video. Although personally, I didn't really like this film.

  • Squamata2468- Thanks appreciate it. ah well, My friend wasn't too crazy about it either.

  • Brosnan,Connery and Graig

  • Connery, silly.

  • I think Sean Connery was the best Bond ever.

  • Its hard to compare Connery to Craig because they are so different. its like trying to say if Ledger or Nicholson was the better Joker. They are completely different so no one can really say which is the best.

  • craig, brosnan, connery in that order

  • Good to see you back fury!

  • Spartang062 thanks!

  • Sean

  • good to see you back fury.... AND IN STYLE!!!

Hopefully you have some more of these fantastic reviews coming our way... and also with the special effects style you are putting into them!

    good job

  • danthemanporto- Thanks , you know this video editing stuff is not easy! you should know... I learn some stuff on the side but man is it time consuming.

  • no disrespect to sean connery, but i think daniel craig is better.

  • Wow, I was just wondering earlier today, "Wow, why hasn't Fury made any vids lately" and then BAM, here is one. Funny how it works...And I just got done watching Casino Royal again...strange...lol

  • Kynergy- hheheh, thanks, I'm still here man.

  • Connery has to be the best Bond by far....however he is in none of my favorite Bond Movies (The Man with the Golden Gun, License to Kill, The World is Not Enough, and Casino Royale)

  • great review fury! Best reviews on you tube

  • Yep, Fury has taken over as the King of movie reviews on youtube ever since MrBlack retired.

I was worried for a bit if Fury quit as well since its been a while for him to put up a new review.

  • Thank you gentlemen. No I'm not quitting I'm still moving forward. I just wish I had more time for this stuff but I'm still on my way to getting considered to be press and eventually see these movies early enough that I can give you a good heads up every week.

  • So the new Bond movies take place before the old ones

  • Lol8922- yes, these new films are prequels to the other ones. It's a reboot of the franchise sort of like how Dark Knight rebooted batman and made you forget about all the other batman movies before it.

  • connery

  • yay furry your back! now if mr.black could only come out of hiding the youtube reviewer world would be complete again. Im sure the last one was good and all the others and im sure that this one is good to, but i was never much of a bond fan or a fan of spy films. nothing really wrong with them, i just personally find them boring. i tried watching james bond many times, but i just get bored. not my type of film i guess.

  • spidey2065- I believe Mr. Black is amongst us in spirit.

  • well i kinda grew up with peirce as bond but craig really surprised me in the last film so i have 2 say peirce is my fav bond... but casino royale was my fav bond movie.

  • I personally have to say that Martin Campbell's Casino Royale was much better than this film by Marc Forster. I liked QOS, but CR is definitely better. I found the action in CR to be more realistic and gritty while in QOS it seems more artistic than gritty. Still a good movie though, good review.

  • Slagman5- Casino Royale the action was definitely grittier and better shot as well. QOS had some good stuff but overall Casino Royale was just gold , hard to follow up on that.

  • Dude, your reviews are awesome, but the theatrical stuff seems a bit tedious. Lose the OTT Bond Thematic stuff, and you've got one of the best reviews on the web. Good review.

  • ChristheSuperdude- I try to make every video review a little unique with the movie I'm reviewing. the goal is to entertain otherwise I'd just have still images of the movie and the trailer. And even then I'd run the risk of getting hit with copyrighted claims. So I'm just making them a little unique and a little entertaining for people lookin to kill a few minutes.

  • Entertaining intro.

Loved Casino Royale and I can't wait to check this out.

Peers was my favorite Bond, I have to say. But Daniel really surprised me in Royale.

  • SurooshX- Thanks man, Daniel surprised the hell outta me in Casino Royale, I dunno why people are so disappointed in his performance here I guess they wanted to see more personality but when you understand this is just a part of a bigger story they are letting his character flesh out. I mean the girl he loved JUST died how is he gonna be tongue and cheeky.

  • I thought the movie was very entertaining and Daniel Craig did great. James Bond is no longer a Saturday Morning Cartoon-like character thanks to this new direction and Bond. Bond is portrayed as a very professional agent that sometimes must carry out hits but at the same time he still keeps this very suave demeanor and a subtle sense of sarcasm and dark humor. All this and he's still a much more conflicted and vulnerable Bond, seeing as how this is an "earlier" Bond.

  • Dude, why did u rite everything fury said in the review u fucking moron piece of shit bitch ass mother fucker. jk,jk. lol

  • This film looks awesome.

  • Thank you for the review,I trust your reviews over that of Empire and Total film even,so I have held off seeing this film until I know how it did by you lol I would have to say my favourite Bond would probably be Dalton or Craig,as they touch on the dark bond we see in flemmings novels which I have read many of now.I watch their films and see a truer realisation of James Bond from page to screen than I do with moore, brosnan, lazenby or even connery.

    Jed

  • JedidiahRose- Thanks for the great comment and the kind words. I like the darker Bond myself. If I wanted light hearted spy movies I'd see Spy Kids..

  • pretty good review Fury

  • Emil246- thank you!

  • My Favorite Bond would either be Sean Connery or Daniel Craig

  • fury, that was an awesome review, i absolutely loved it and am glad now you took that rest. Keep on making them for my enjoyment :)

  • deloreanowner- glad you enjoyed it, you know there were moments that I felt I was taking it too far but I said oh what the hell, thanks!

  • awesome

  • great enjoyable film as long as you dont take yourself too serioustly and can enjoy the tongue and cheek action then its the film for you.
