@drfast4ward it says in the description that hes has a cam, head porting, ecm tuning, full exhaust, and a list of other stuff with 6 psi from the pro-charger, its possible to grab 570, its reaching, but very possible, the factory heads on the lt1 have better flow rate than WP camel hump heads when they are ported.

Great power for just 7 pounds. I had a procharger for years running a 12 rib pulley, the most I ever made was 525 rwhp, that was with around 9:1 compression and a hotcam, longtubes, stock ported heads.. I switched it out for a quieter vortech, I like the vortech better, it made more midrange torque. What cam u have and what compression? U did build the bottom end didn't u?? If not, that motor will not last.

LT1 with AI 200cc ported stocl LT1 heads and intake and their cam, they obviously didnt want me to advertise specs of the cam. Compression is 8.9:1 on 92 Octane. Stock trans, PCM, and 3:23 Axle. around 21 mpg ave hwy, same as I got when stock.

So what have you done to the block? What have you gotten forged? I am thinking about getting a 383 stroker with forged internals and I have a Vortech supercharger so it should be interesting. Do you have everything forged?
checked that car out, looks good but missing critical info such as boost and engine info. Stock LT1 could prob make 600hp with meth but wont last long stock. Dont know how long the LS1 would last stock at the power level. Im only at 7-9psi, that LS1 might be 15-20psi. Just dont know.

sweet car, i noticed your temp guage looked a little cold, you want to be careful taking your car the that high rpm if its not warmed up especially with a big cam, you could damage your valve springs, i have a 99 ta i want to procharge it, go with a huge cam, CNC'd heads, the procharger is expensive tho probbaly do cam heads and valve train first, amazing car tho i love it

really top speed doesnt have that much to do with horsepower as much as gearing, i mean if your gearing will only let you do 170 at 600 rpms then thats all your gonna do weather you have 400 horsepower or 1000, the difference is you will get there much quicker with 1000
Top Speed has with power alone.. gearing is there to match the power. 1/4 mile is limited by power, not gears since you rush out and change gears in a hearbeat if your redline before 1/4 mile... hmmmm.
you really should look into this, think of it this way, your cars engine can only rev a certain number of rpms, so unless you do something to change that(horsepower wont change the rpms it can rev) then how is
having more horsepower going to give you top speed, because your engine, gearing and rear wheel are all in direct linkage. if you have a stock lt1 265 horsepower, and stock gearing(not sure what it is, i believe 273)
will allow you to do 175, and you go down to 223 then you will gain more top end, if you go up to 3.73 you will lose top end but reach the top speed much faster, now take that same gearing and move up to 500 horses and you reach it even faster, but because the engine cant rev any higher the rear wheel cant turn any faster without changing gearing understand what I'm saying?
Stock LT1 only goes 149ish cause it doesnt have enough power, meaning it never revs to redline cause it doesnt have enough power too, not because it redlines first. Think about that for awhile.
Then you had something wrong with your lt1, cause I have seen an lt1 camaros max the speedo and the only after market part was exhaust and intake kit. But back to the discussion on power and top end, yes, if the car doesn't have enough horsepower to red line(do to wind resistance) then increasing horsepower will allow greater top speed. If your car CAN redline though then the only way to increase top speed is to either increase to engines RPM limitations or go with a higher gearing.
That is what I'm getting at here, as long as your car actually has enough power to hit max rpm's, then increasing horsepower cant change the top speed, only gearing, now if you little saturn with 115 horsepower has the gearing to go faster, then increasing the power will allow your car to max the rpm's.
383 with a procharger, and your runnign 13:1? Dude fatten that thing up! Your gonna burn holes through the pistons running a N/A AFR on a boosted car! 12:1 or richer on boosted cars for reliability.

okay, i have a BONE stock 1994 LT1 M-6 Formula with about 33,000 miles on it. what can i expect to get out of it if i procharge it? im looking to get about 400-500 RWHP.
with 6psi totally stock I got exactly what they say on the site... up to 50% which is about 440hp engine HP. With some head porting and cam you can get 670hp (230hp improvement just from headwork and cam)
so basically if i do the heads and cam package and a procharger im looking at around 575rwhp? you loose about 15% of crank hp throught the drive train. or was the 670 whp? how much does it cost to have a procharger installed cause i dont think i could do it myself, but i could probably do heads and a cam, but i couldnt tune it myself.
pretty much yea heads and cam + 7psi are what made the power... I have 383 however that's not much for HP.. maybe 10hp? I also have 9.0:1 down from 10.5 so that's about 20hp lost..
Also my at least 570rwhp x 1.15 (manual trans) = 650hp but the supercharger itself takes maybe 20-30hp so that's about ~680hp crank HP (or fuel being used HP).

My Saturn does 105mph top speed, power limited. Any amount of gear will not get more speed out of it.
In Second gear it tops out at 70mph due to max RPM.

ah OK, I heard you say "I got the best package I could get from this one guy" and the best one man operation in the busisness is Lloyd so I just assumed. AI does some GREAT stuff though, Im actually stuck between them and Lloyd for my rebuild....

Only reason I didnt use Lloyd was because I didnt see any dyno posts or any guarentee of repeatability (you might not get same porting as me, etc).

Very nice. I've got a 93' Z, 12:1 377 LT1 with A.I. 215cc heads, Speed Demon Motorsports "street-friendly" solid roller. Made 501rwhp/446rwtq with a Motec M48 ecu.

damn dude. so you dont have the LT1? cause i have just a stock LT. im looking for about 500rwhp, how much should i be looking at spending to get it, and what mods do you best recomend. i dont think i want to supercharge it, im thinking heads, a cam, injectors, headers, exhaust, and other little basics. i dont want to do anything completely drastic. im also still looking to get some fuel economy. what mpg does yours get now? mine gets mid 20's avg. but its also a M6 car.

yea this is LT1. Normal Hwy driving I get ~23mpg but I really havent driven "normal" since I got this running.. ha

Also did how much was the charger and how much did it cost? The name name of your super/turbo charger is ProCharger? Probably a stupid question but I don't have time to investigate as I need to get to sleep! P.S - Awesome car!

Put it this way.. with stock heads and cam + current pullies I made ~450hp, with ported heads + cam I now make ~650hp. (same everything else... pullies, exhaust.. etc)

What turbo system did you use and where did you buy your head and cam? I'm planning to get my head and cam's from elliot's port works which say that I will get 450 HP and Torque and I've asked people who bought it and they said the numbers were true. What pully and exhaust?

Its not a turbo, its a procharger, google it up.

okay, i have a BONE stock 1994 LT1 M-6 Formula with about 33,000 miles on it. what can i expect to get out of it if i procharge it? im looking to get about 400-500 RWHP.

with 6psi totally stock I got exactly what they say on the site... up to 50% which is about 440hp engine HP. With some head porting and cam you can get 670hp (230hp improvement just from headwork and cam)

so basically if i do the heads and cam package and a procharger im looking at around 575rwhp? you loose about 15% of crank hp throught the drive train. or was the 670 whp? how much does it cost to have a procharger installed cause i dont think i could do it myself, but i could probably do heads and a cam, but i couldnt tune it myself.

pretty much yea heads and cam + 7psi are what made the power... I have 383 however that's not much for HP.. maybe 10hp? I also have 9.0:1 down from 10.5 so that's about 20hp lost..
Also my at least 570rwhp x 1.15 (manual trans) = 650hp but the supercharger itself takes maybe 20-30hp so that's about ~680hp crank HP (or fuel being used HP).
Engine Mods include Heads/Cam/83lb injectors/headers/3"exhaust/1walbro fuel pump/stock fuel rails+lines+reg..
15psi = ~750rwhp...
