  • Thanks dude, you helped me alot.

  • How do you select that car itself?

  • With Hue+Saturation option you do not need to select it, however if your wanting ti select the car to cutout of the image to use elseware, I recommend Quick Mask. Use the PS Help option and search for it, should give a quick reference how to use quick mask.

  • could you possibly make a tutorial on how to make a black car some other color. I've tried everythning, but i can't get it to look nice...

  • if I am able to find the free time, I will, an easy way is to use the "histroy brush", basically you do the same thing I show above, but then using the history brush you can go back an "undo" only specific spots to the original color in order to ease the process and fine tune the look.

I am sure there are several tutorials floating around about the history brush.

  • how did u get up that colours from beggining?(the first thing u did)

  • CTRL+U brings up the hue saturation dialog.

  • lol hahahah

    The cow says...

    moooooooooooooooo lol nice.

  • Wow I always had to select the object before. This is much faster and works better. Thanks for the tip!

  • i wish i had them cars but i dont

  • cook vid Bubba

  • How did you just chage the care in the hue/saturation? Did you trace the care and have it in a selection or saved the path or on a different layer?

  • No, you dont need to select anything, in fact, be sure nothing is selected.

Just open the hue/sat panel, then in the dropdown box, select the "closest" matching color that you wish to change. (such as blue for any colors that are in the blue scale) then adjust the sliders. (Don't click colorize as it will change the entire picture color if no selection is made)

  • cool...but it does not seem to work that good in Ulead Photoimpact(thats what i`m using to modify my cars)so what is this?Adobe Photoshop?

  • yes, as the title says "Color Changing with Photoshop"

  • This is really kool, so r u using paint shop pro or photoshop??

  • Photoshop

  • Could You Post a Tutotial on this?

  • It is fairly straight forward. Fire up PS, open a photo you want to alter the color of something, press CTRL+U to open Hue/Sat. Up top, select the closest color matching the color you want to change (such as of it is Pink you want to change, select Magenta or Red, which happens to match better). Then adjust sliders to your liking.

  • thx :)

  • wow cool
