First of all thank you for sharing your talent with us. I appreciate the finer details of your technique, but most of all thank you...for surprising me. Your playing "builds" emotion, not just dish it out.
I KNOW THIS GUY, he teaches sectionals at my orchestra!!! I DIDNT KNOW HE WAS FAMOUS!!!! I DIDNT KNOW HE WAS THIS GOOD!!!! THE NEXT TIME I SEE HIM I'M GETTING AN AUTOGRAPH AND I'LL BE LIKE, "ANTON!!! I HEARD YOU ON YOUTUBE!!!!"
lmao what a strange coincidence... i learned russian from this dude...... i learned love of the three oranges from him too... okay i'm done with my revelations haha
OMG! Great! Many musicians don't know the difference between quiet and soft. You certainly do @1:52 i t 's s o s o f t, yet still crisp and passionate.
soundsg reat! i think you cant tell it's 6/8 in the first section cuz u hold the quarter and then execute the eighth notes instead of playing it strictlyin time. not that being strictly in time will bring out the sublime genius of the composition =)

Great playing Anton. Forget about what they did to you at the Philharmonic a few years back. They suck. You rock. Keep owning that violin.

are those thirds played on just one take (aka you play them on one violin, not record two alternate violins) if so, WOW
OntZ 3 years ago 2
It's all one violin. Take a look at caprice 6. It's all one violin, and pretty mindblowing too. Or try Erlkonig.
