Hi mate, i have been trying for 2 days now to do this but cant seem to manage, my problem is that when i put the SD card in the computer (windows 7) a notice appears saying: You need to format the disk in drive I: before you can use it.
So i just cant get past this step, i look at the card in EASUS and it says Unallocated 200 Mb.
Could you please give me a hand for i do not know what the problem seems to be.
UPDATE!! Re-installed with a 2gb sd card and that has worked fine... but still cannot see the 16gb! obviously the 16gb is in the fone when I install the rom! I know it must work because I see in this video 15.??GB....
hi... ive followed ur tutorial several times now and it has worked flawlessly every time... but for some reason this time wp7 isnt recognising my sd card (16gb).. it just says 156mb :S
Any ideas...?
oh.. and the sd card isnt faulty because it works with another wp7 rom, android rom and it is seen by my pc n easeus partition manager!!
Hi i hav a question abt the nand rom, do you install window 7 in nandrom? or just in sd card together with android? Btw can our window phone 7 os upgard to mango 7.5 tht going to out for these few weeks time? PLz respone coz i am a hd2 user as well=)
@no1willc just gonna copy the top uploader comment for you "NOT ANSWERING ANY MORE COMMENTS ABOUT RUNNING WP7 ON OTHER DEVICES, IT ONLY RUNS ON THE HD2 AT THIS TIME!!"
Thanks a million for this tutorial, its a lifeline for a rookie like me,id like to know if i can partition my SD in such a way that i can have around 4 GB for WP7 and 12GB for my android,i have a 16 GB card.
the allocated space before gets bigger than the partition size if i try to do that, will it still work? thnks again
Well. after following steps, the easus partition manager and sd card formater, shows my sd card at 200 mbs...hmmn... is this guide for winp7 after android is installed?
@96edwysMobile I did everything good but only the part where you created some space on ur SD for the windows 7 (5:33), mine is still on about Total space:15MB and Available:12MB, but it changes sometimes to 150MB and 148MB available. I set about 4GB when I followed your steps to partition SD for Windows 7
I put winp7 on hd2 and liked it so much, I bought a hd7, three weeks lter, I dumped the hd7 and went back (forward) to the hd2 and wouldn't touch the winp7 with a barge pole...nice work by the way..
Hello. When i'm trying to load Android from Sd as you shown, it stops at the HTC logo and do nothing ( other thing: when i formatted in FAT32 i just could select 16KB cluster size.. is this the problem? ). Please help, thank you. By the way I appreciate your work :)
@franzwald hmm, sorry cant really help you with that one, try asking or looking in the thread i posted in the description, the one that says "Original Tutorial Thread (Ask Questions Here)"
hey is it possible to help me? ive a 4gb sd card... i stick it in the hd2 and flash the wp7... but after flashing, there is still in the info 158mb space... and my sd card is still unpartitioned and still 4gb... whats the problem? can you write me a stepguide please? thx
HI! First, i'd like to thank you for your videos! Great work!
But i need some help please. I formatted my SD CARD following every steps, but my HD2 shows only 15 Mb of free memory, like as it cannot read the SD card. When it's not formatted, there is'nt any problem...
@malfra6 if you mean it shows 15mb on wp7, then try this "Out of memory" issue fix All you need to do is: 1. Sync with Zune 2. Click on Settings 3. Click on Reserved Space 4. By default its set to 0% - increase it to at least 50%. (This reserved space is for your emails, pictures, music, texts etc i believe) 5. Restart your phone. You can check the amount of space on your phone by going to On your phone click on 1. Settings 2. About
How about running android on windows phone 7. The samsung focus has the same specs as the samsung galaxy s, same screen, same phone just a different OS.
@MugenDB2 check xda for stuff like this, they are probably working on ports but as far as i know, no windows phone 7 phones have android ported to them yet.
@96edwysMobile thanks i formatted the sd card but now that i plug it in it says in EASEUS that i have a FAT32 200 mb and the 14.64G unformatted....what should i do to fix this
@madarres ohh never mind i just figured it out....and have both partitions on the sd card now....the only thing that i want to ask you is if you knew where to look for of if you know what sd builds i can load....because i like the builds with sense built in....thank you so much for all your help i would have never been able to do all this without you
@lilmikz1 good stuff but im going to answer anyway for people who might need to know. if your card says write protected, check the sd card adapter your using for a write protect switch and make sure it is off, if this doesnt work then you will need to find an sd card reader that reads micro sd and not micro sd in an sd adapter. if both of those fail then try using magldr's mass storage option, i have heard it works for some people.
@pogiman2 with this there arnt any risks really, with installing wp7 you could brick your device by installing the wrong radio and hspl but thats not likely
NOTE: IF YOU USE MAGLDR'S MASS STORAGE INSTEAD OF A CARD READER THEN YOU COULD FACE PROBLEMS, FOR SOME IT WORKS FINE AND FOR OTHERS IT DOESNT SO I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THE MAGLDR METHOD. IF YOUR GETTING FREEZES AND WHITE SCREENS ETC, IT COULD BE BECAUSE YOU USED MAGLDR.
Hey, thanks for the vid.. but I've got a problem. i do all the steps. install wp7 then reset it - hold power button.. insert sd-card into the pc. but i see it only as a fat-32 formatted card with only 1 partition. what do i wrong?
@96edwysMobile well ,now I have all that fixed, but when I go back to boot Android it says kernel failed. Sorry if I'm a pain,I haven't gotten any sleep yet.lol
Can I keep Windows 6.5 and still dual boot?

Nice work,
Is it a must to have windows 7?
I want to revert back to windows 6.5 but still keep the android build as windows7 is absolute crap in my opinion and not user friendly.
Is it as simple as reflashing the rom back to 6.5?
