Really, if you've noticed so far, 90% of this hack isn't about exploration/finding secrets, but more along the lines of being required to exploit all the super advanced techniques/glitches in the game.  So while it's rather straightforward, it's definitely mind numbing how long it takes to perfect some of these techniques required...even WITH savestates.

actually it would have been nice to see some (fail) tries to get a better idea how the diagonal jump works. I would have never figured out that you have to kinda "bounce back to get a better dash forward" (sounds really weird) ^^

I've been stuck on the diagonal bomb jumping for about 2 days now I've been using slowdown and stuff like that but I can't get to the other side.

Do you have any tipps?

is anybody wondering why at about 7:30 he doesn't use the ice beam to just freeze these guys to make a ladder? or does the hack work like NES metroid where you can only have one beam? then why did he get the spazer at all? the ice beam is the only weapon you need! the others - except for the wave beam which in the normal Super metroid is only helpful ONCE - only make it easier to kill stuff, which you don't really need to do in ANY metroid game,except for bosses,but that's what missiles are for.

Nobody else is wondering that, because they know that I haven't collected the Ice Beam yet. You can't collect the Ice beam until you've beaten Ridley, which you can only do right near the end of the game.

To anyone playing this, you don't HAVE to diagonal bomb jump across. Get the missiles here first to make it easier. Run up to the door before the lake and touch it, stop, shoot it open and make a savestate. Then run forward and at the last second, jump forward at full speed. You should just barely clear the missile platform. Now, without turning around, Samus should be in a walljump pose off the corner, so press Jump again while holding forward and Samus should walljump and reach the other side.

Yeah, I know it won't work on a certain version of ZSNES, and sometimes you can get a bad rom, so I'd dload another one, and try it on a different emu.
