What makes me prefer the original is the change of voice colour of Yost when intoning "bring back that sunny day" and the fact that the saxophone voice fits better with this jazzy kind of song. A very good version anyway is Santana's.
This song had me so mesmerized back in the day. I played it at my birthday party and it was most requested. It was a small party with just good friends and nice drinks and we danced all night especially off of this. I did get a little drunk too. The lead singer, I forgot his name, I saw sing it on television. Awesome. I love Carlos Santana so much and have been his fan since he began. Thanks for uploading this one.
This song came out way before I was born and my dad always plays it. When I was younger I never fully appreciated the muscianship in this song, ranging from the vocals to the drums to santana. If only songs today could produce such quality
if everyone listen to santana's music this would be a better world I play his music in my band and everytime in play his song it cleans my soul and gets me trough the day !!!!!!!!!!!!! KEEP GOING CARLOS
Its a great song everyone but it also came out nearly 32 years ago so I am not sure why people are just stumbling upon it now. It went top 40 in 1979!
I really enjoy the first two thirds of the Inner Secrets album, but probably this is my favorite song off it. Thanks very much; this proves that Santana could still make good music in 1978.
Strange? This is one of the greatest songs written, and one of the BEST versions to-date, and yet now only one congradutation comment seen? This singer Gregory Walker is so sooth, and mixed with Carlos rifts rock!
@kennybolin WHAT WAS I THINKING! The original is fabuluos yes but i must of been nutz 2 ever of said that b' word, Gregory Walker [which i'm a gregory] rocks with not just class b' style and i love'em both!! Carlos y gregory w' r excalente bien! The rockin' best blow u away in the mind! That whole album which i still have - yummmm! Y please type up Paul Rodger +Jimmy Page's version in the band The Frim and get back to me, beauty is beauty which hopefully leds to God in
and that was the first time, I heard this songI was dating my first on Market St. in Corning, N.Y.husband, Greg, and we went toBacallases
