I've watched since season four...and this was the first time someone I liked actually won. Well, I liked Kristi, but wasn't rooting for her. Not that it counts for much, considering I loved all of the finalists this season...definitely my favorite! She deserved to win, she grew into a wonderful dancer.

They don't have seasons like this anymore. Season 8 goes down as the BEST season of this show, with season 5 as the second. I love when it's a fun cast where everyone gets along. The past few seasons have either had drama or are just plain boring.

I could not stop laughing at Mark. Haha. You think he was excited? ;) Also, Chuck just threw Shawn on his shoulder like it was nothing. She's so little. They deserved to win. :) And I love Derek and Mark's thing with picking each other up on their shoulders when they win. And Julianne always stands there sooo excited. They are the coolest family ever!! :)

@sugafrost3 The stars are different every season because once they've been on, they've had "ballroom training" which would make them unable to be on again. But the dancers could be on every season if they were invited and wanted to. Edyta Sliwinska is the only pro to have been apart of every season. But they're always getting new pros too.

This competition must've been physically easy for Shawn (note I said physically, not mentally or artistically) considering she's a pro gymnast who flips, turns, and tumbles for a living.

i agree, gymnasts are like little robots so learning any kind of movement is pretty easy i'm sure, but i was surprised how much rhythem she had! She didn't dance they way i would imagine an elite gymnast dancing. lol

@limey514 I don't think Mark -- or Shawn, for that matter -- thought that they'd win, that's probably why Mark was so stunned. I was rather surprised myself -- I thought Gilles and Cheryl would win, although I voted for Shawn & Mark. It wasn't like Season 6, where Mark probably figured he and Kristi Yamaguchi would win -- this was more unexpected.
