Whoever told you your engine is "about to blow" is probably not very knowledgeable when it comes to the topic. In fact, most people who make a blatantly unsupported diagnosis as such, are very misinformed or lack information on the topic. I would say don't panic, have a mechanic take a listen and you'll probably be surprised at how easily it will be diagnosed by a professional.

Im gonna get a comaro rear axel and shorten that, get a new wiring harness for the LS1, modify the LS1 engine mounts, rip out my dash and make a custom fiberglass dash after i move it back to make room for the LS1. Then drop it in.
The reason i havent done anything to the engine is because im plannin to b the first person to swap an LS1 into a cavalier. Im gonna rip out this engine, rebuild it, and sell it for money to go towards the LS1. It will take a lot of custom work but i can do it.
@davinclrk not to be a dreamkiller but I highly doubt youre going to do an ls1 swap. With the amount of time and money youd put into it I doubt it be worth it. :/

nice cav! i like how it looks but the engines a lil iffy (no disrespect) but if i was u i wudve saved up the money from those performance parts to do an engine swap to a gm 3800, only 3-4 ppl wit cavaliers so far have done it jus switch out the engine, wiring harness and build a sub frame and your good to go home, i i relle like wut u did tho!
