silent hill is great game but part one only one that kinda freaks me out. i think its the graphics that make me jump cause all other silent hills have great graphics and so does resident evil.

i had a glitch with my silent hill game.

it was the first time i had ever played, i didnt game shark it or anything. i was playing on my PS3 and then whenever i shot the handgun, there was a really loud annoying screeching/buzzing noise. it wouldnt stop until i changed weapons.

Man, I miss this game... I used to play it when I was 10, and it pretty much scared me shitless back then... Such a memorable game. The series will never feel the same as this one, though 2 is pretty good.

I managed to get my hands on a copy of the first silent hill. (cost me an arm and a leg though) I absolutely adore it. I love Harry, even if he is a tad whiney at times (though nowhere near as emo as james can be at points)

This just makes him all the cooler!

Ah, it's nice to see that I'm not the ONLY one who keeps consistently PAUSING the game every time I want to look at the inventory screen. Even now, almost ten years later, and playing ORIGINS on PS2, I'm STILL pausing the game when I should be pressing select for the inventory screen. (so HAPPY they finally imported it to PS2: Silent Hill + ME = Happiness)

god, so long ago i played silent hill 1 but isnt select the map button? so assuming you used some code for all maps, bringing up a map where there isnt one written would cause such error?

The same happens when you manage to kill Darth Maul in Star Wars Episode 1. When you fight with Maul near the end he jumps out the screen and you cannot finish the game. Sadly I did not recorded.

Shooting a gun "gangsta" style is, as far as I know, holding the gun sideways, which makes aiming alot harder. Maybe that explains why innocent people get hit so often in gang fights.

Actually, it's common to hold a gun like that. It may make aiming a bit more tricky, but it also cuts down MAJORLY on the kickback, so you can re-aim and shoot again much more quickly than holding the gun upright. ...Don't ask me how I know that. ._.
