  • eh, not to be tedious but he made a very obvious math error at 42:21, and no one notice? It's trivial though.

  • Watching a youtube video, of a youtube video....

  • contents???

  • Lecture Starts at @10:00 only :P

  • It's a pleasure watching him ... unfortunately, not all the people are like him!

  • Lol i loved the lectureee !

  • I came online looking for process modeling. After going through heavy-accent, hard-to-understand slides from well-meaning Indian instructors, Richard Buckland is a breath of fresh air. He makes learning exciting, effort-less. Thank you Prof. buckland!

  • Sir Richard.. your teaching methodology is really awesome .. great teacher... your student from Pakistan....

  • The formula for calculating how many comparisons a bubble sort has to do is actually (n(n+1) /2) - n. Well it does that many in my program anyway.

  • Richard, thank you so much for recording your lectures. You are really helping my programming and you also make the lecture interesting which is more than can be said for some of my old lecturers.

  • "here is what I ashoom"

  • He Insert-Sorted all the Asians to the left side lol.

  • he makes you love programming.. i took computer engineering and programming seemed like a boring thing that we needed to know.. i wish i took my programming classes with him

  • I wish to correct the Professor that there was indeed an Apollo 13 - the mission of course failed. But it did exist and NASA did not skip a number. There was a movie based on the mission. You can also read more about it on NASA's website.

  • 20:08 the left side is all asian!!

  • Excellent lecture ..

  • lol the end of this video makes me laugh.

  • Liked the ending with the music, reminded me of a MTV rock-doc.

Excellent lectures, Richard is very engaging and does a great job!

  • Wiki says "Apollo 13 was the third manned mission by NASA that was intended to land on the moon, but a mid-mission technical malfunction forced the lunar landing to be aborted."

  • Richard, was the algrothim used on the slow machine the same algrithem that I worked out during Compclub?

    Just curious...

  • Use Ubuntu. It doesn't have as much buffer overflows as Windows XP programs. And it is Open Source. Plus you are a teacher Mr. Buckland, you know that Open Source will rule the future of software... and hardware.

  • @gasto5 open source hardware, lolwat?

  • @videofemto I present to you... Arduino.

  • @gasto5 Oh I see, thx for pointing this out.

  • Richard Buckland rocks!

  • Um, "there was no Apollo 13" !!!!

  • awesome professor..i wish all my cs teachers were like him :)

  • Someone who knows please let me know what this awesome song is at the very end?

  • Elements by Tom Lehrer

  • No, not elements. I'm talking about the song at the very end of the video. Its the closer, last ten seconds.

  • @mightymico I agree I'd also like to know this.

  • omg, i actually watched another whole video of his again, lol, i love him

  • I've seen every video by Richard on this channel, many I've seen several times (does that make me a slow learner ? lol)

  • once again, i find myself watching one of Richard's classes, even though im doing mech engineering and I go to a completely different uni :p, if only i had lecturers like him...

  • I "third" that =p. If I had the money, I'd leave Brazil for Australia just for Richard's classes.

  • nice ending

  • This guy is the man. Period. If all of your professors are like this, I want to attend classes as a registered student at your university. I love you guys.

  • I second that, he is a very good lecturer. I am lucky I have had a few lecturers like him in my time at uni.

  • i havent :(
