That's still great though I still couldn't do that many! I look forward to seeing the next vid. Also thanks for your service I can't wait to go and serve!
@alnizak100 Nope you are wrong. It took me about 9 hours to do. Sometimes I could do 50 in a row, but once I got tired sometimes I could only do 20 or sometimes after a 10 minute rest I couldn't even do 1. I even took a 1 hour break a McDonalds and came home and did some more. Nope. I totally did all 460 but it took me ALL DAY to do them. It took me even longer to edit it and cut it perfectly so I could get the whole 9 hour activity into 10 minutes for youtube purposes.
Wow, that's awesome! Great job I'm 14 (fifteen in two months) and I can't do nearly that many!! Also I read something about you being in the marine corps? (not for sure but I think) anyways, that's awesome that's my dream and I'm going to the marines to! God bless!
@christian3309 That's right. I was in the Marines frm 1984-1988 when I was 20-24 years old. Keep in mind concerning the video of the 460 pushups. I spend the WHOLE DAY doing the 460. I did NOT do them at the same time. I started in the morning and did as many as I could all throughout the day taking multiple breaks and even going to mcDonalds in the middle. It was after dark by the time I actually reached 460 BUT this year on my birthday I will be doing 100 CONSECUTIVE PUSHUPS without a break.
@Briancranford Yes. I know. It took me all day to add up 460. Anyhow, my family has a tradition of doing these types of things on various birthdays. My mom used to bike 50 miles on her 50th, 60 on her 60th, 70 on her 70th and my sister also. I used to walk 40 kms on my birthday, 41, 42 etc but the distance is too far now. This year I am working towards 100 consecutive pushups by my 47th birthday. I have 50 remaining in my training.
Your fit i'll give you that but i can see what you done. You did 1 or 2 pushups and then just restarted the video over and over. It is very smart but i just want you to know this. Im not a fat internet nerd because u aint gonna belive this.I am 13 and i can do 150 pushups, i know the pain in your arms and chest but dude thats just low videoing 1 pushup and makin it the same vid times 460. Think what u wanna Think (Nerd, Wannabe, Jealous.etc) but I am thirteen and i can do one hundred pushups!!!
@harryh97h@harryh97h Nope you are wrong.
@harryh97h Also, towards the beginning I tried to place my hands in the exact location and my toes also so that I would be within the picture frame but after awhile I got so tired, I needed to change my position totally to to add variety to the activity. It was becoming a long day - 9 hours. I NEVER thought it would take me that long but I guess I wasn't in perfect shape when I started. Next year I'm thinking of shooting 470 free throws....maybe...still thinking...
@harryh97h Oh also Harry. If you are 13 and can do 100 pushups, that's great! I never counted my pushups at age 13 but I do remember ONCE having a contest at age 9 or 10 and I almost beat the guy. I did 72 or 73 and he did 75. That is my only memory as a young guy of doing pushups. Anyhow, keep up the good work. If you have time, try doing 460 and let me know how long it took you to do them. That would be interesting to track you on that. God Bless!
@BdizzleFaReal That's amazing! If you can do 500 in under 12 minutes, that's amazing! Especially if they are nice and clean, straight back etc. Keep up the good work! Maybe you can make a video too and include it in the collection on Youtube. You could put out a challenge for anyone that can do 500 in under 12 minutes. That would be a great accomplishment.
Okay, now I feel bad... I must congradulate you now on your pushups considering you are 46. Anyway... I will remember this post.. in fact I'll befriend you, and after usmc boot camp and training I will purchase a video camera to record my firefights and my pushups.
Excellent! I'm wait for it! Going to boot camp? Super! Try 2 beat my 47 pullups, 120 situps in 2 minutes, and 16:40 was my best 3 mile run in boot. I was 20 yrs old. Get in shape BEFORE you go to boot. Concentrate on aerobic-type stuff "up, over, around, trough-type stuff." Even as a small guy in boot I would demolish the "huge muscle-bound-weight-lifter types" on the obstacles, hill climbs, ropes, 3-mile run, pullups, situps because my aerobics level was really high. Keep me posted. Go! Go!
What I mean by "up, over, around, through-type stuff" is train by finding someplace in your home town where you can create your own obstacle course. Running, climbing, jumping over a fence, crawling under something, pulling up, etc etc - like a school playground. That's what I did. It was my BEST preparation before bootcamp. I would time myself and try to beat my time every time for 3 months. People would drive by and think I was strange/weird but I knew better - I was going to be a Marine!
@1hitie I'm sure. I just finished four days ago. I'm still feeling it. I did another 25 today. I'm pretty stiff. Don't be deceived by the times in the video where I sped up the video in order to keep the production under 10 minutes. Also, keep in mind the event took me 9 hours and 40 minutes. Sometimes I could only do three or four in between sets. I would take a rest and come back and do some more. You can't see all my breaks in the video. But I did do460 in 9 hours and 40 minutes - Fact!
That's still great though I still couldn't do that many! I look forward to seeing the next vid. Also thanks for your service I can't wait to go and serve!
