What a pile of garbage the comments are on this video. It's more like a playground squabble between 1st grade children than adults. You almost need a degree in English to decipher the spellings and therefore the content, such that it is. The lack of technical accuracy being spouted is frightening. Most of you aren't adult enough to even own a gun.

Actually Phil doesn't sing this version it's called Cuttem' All Jack by Steve Conover and the only way to get the song is off his myspace page. along with songs like What A Man Will Do For A Duck. or Duck Doctor
He dude. Actually Phil Robertson is a singer and this is actually one of his songs...he is a true badass lol. good luck hunting, our season in minnesota opens on saturday and i cant frikin wait.
i have a remington 870 express i shoot a full choke and i shoot bbb bb and number #1 i shoot kent fast steel, all pourpse steel and black clouds. i like black cloud but i cant kill any thing up in close range its a duck is out 40 to 35 yards i'll knock em out of the sky
heck! why do you need full choke!!!!? the duck must weigh twice as much afer you shot it! if your'e using 32 or 35 gram loads I would have said that's fine- here (UK) we generally use size 3 for ducks and size 1 or BB for geese....i though you were advised to only shoot steel through 1/2 choke because it dosen't deform like lead does- possibly damages the barrel.?
lead is illeagal to use in canada/united states dont know about mexico i doubt it is but we can not use lead only steal/non
corrosive basicly non toxic shot to hunt water fowl in north america... have no fucking idiea what your talking about 32-35 gram loads??? 3-4 shot for small-medium size ducks bb-3 shot for medium-large ducks bb-t shot for geese
lead is way more user friendly it keeps titer patterns farther down range steal is gay... we also use 3 1/2 inch guns but mostly 3inchers
I meant to write 30 or 34 gm loads cartridges tend to be (here in the UK) 2 3/4 inch though 3 inch are around and as far as i'm aware 3.5 inch are uncommon, wildfowlers use mostly steel i think owing to it's price but if you don't shoot that much and you want to afford it, then the other non toxic loads seem great like hevishot and the like, i went to the gunshop the other day to get a box of bismuth 4's......£25!!!!! a pound a pop serious money.... IIII wasn't going to pay that!
for guys like me who are not marksmen & hit every shot the fire... guys like these
men hear are hardcore waterfowlers as are a lot of people wear im from & every young teenager that wants a new shot gun wants the big 3 1/2 inch canon but i prefer to use 3 inch at most & most of the time in early season we get teal & wood ducks wear im from small/middle sized ducks so i use 2 3/4 inch 4s or bb as not to blow them up to bad when i do finealy hit one...
3 1/2'' shells dont tear birds up near as bad as people think(so long as your shots not to large). Ive seen worse results from people shooting 3'' BB's/1's into ducks at close range. Same shot made in the same group with 3 1'2'' 3's or 4's produce dead ducks with minimal "carnage". I just think its more about shot size rather than shell size. With that said, i think 3 1/2's have some advantages over 3's. Some folks says 3'' pattern better, that may be a fair argument, i dont really know.
3 1/2 inch 12 gauge & 3 1/2 inch 10 gauge shell dont pattern the same becouse there are more BBs in a 10 gauge shell & powder so its a better choice over a 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge but compair a 3 inch & 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge shells powder/amount of BBs they act similar down range to 1 another but the 3 1/2 inch has more BBs/powder then the 3inch 12gauge but not more then the 10gauge 3 1/2 so the 3 1/2 inch 12gauge is like a inbetween gauge/shot just better then a 3inch 12 but less then a 3 1/2inch 10
ive seen 2 3/4 12 gauge do everything from tear up ducks at close range to drop
birds no body else in the blind would shoot at becouse we thought they were out of range of 3-3 1/2 inch guns? a 2 3/4 inch shell packs a punch it has a lot of powder compaired to the BB load but just has less BBs to work with overall, a 3 1/2 inch will pattern better then a 3inch on a target but not allways knock more birds down it has allmost to much BBs in its load thats why it dosent act like a 3 1/2 in 10gauge
i dont necessarily disagree with what you are saying, but where(or why) does the 10guage come into play in this discussion? Just curious if i missed something?
3 1/2 inch is 3 1/2 long write? & a 12 gauge 3 1/2 inch is 3 1/12 inch long write? thats wear they come into play! they are 2 shells that are the same lenth but are in differnt gauges &they dont act alike write? becouse the 10gauge isnt over loading the hull/shell with BBs write?same with the 3 inch 12 & 3 1/2 inch 12gauge the 3inch 12gauge dosent overload the shell with BBs like a 3 1/2 inch 12gauge shell so there is really no advantage to useing 3 1/2 12
easy scooter, you replied to my comment, talking about the difference between 10g and 12g shells. My original comment was about shot size, not gauge. But, i dont agree at all about 12g 3 1/2's being overloaded. Ive got a 3 1/2, 4 black cloud in my hand right now, when i shake it the 4 shot moves. (not overloaded)
Ive got a kent 3'' 1, in my hand now, when i shake it, no movement. but i dont think either are overloaded. They both shoot and pattern well.
easy there lil buddy u left me a comment 1st about shot size & it being a bigger factor then shell lenth? but then went on to say something about a 3 inch patterning better or hearing it may pattern better then a 3 1/2? & about thinking a 3 1/2 inch has advantages over a 3 inch? i was trying to show u that a 3 1/2 inch may pattern better "opasit of what u said" & that a 10 gauge in the same lenth of shell 3 1/2 inch out shoots/patterns a 3 1/2 12 gauge... becouse the 12 gauge is overlaoded
wow u are simple! um im say n that velocity wise a 3 inch 12 gauge performs better then a 3 1/2 12 gauge becouse the 3 1/2 12 gauge has basicly the same amount of gunpowder as a 3 inch but just more BBs in the load thus it cant be pushed out at the same muzzle velocity as a 3 inch 12,im looking at a chart write now 10 gauge 3 1/2 inch 2 1/4 oz shot 4shot 12 gauge 3 1/2 inch 2 1/4oz 4 shot both have 304 pellets but the 10gauge muzzle velocity is 1210 the 12 gauge is 1150 3inch 1175 280 pellets?
i guess im covered well then, my Black Cloud 12g 3 1/2'' shoots 1500. Plenty of velocity for me, and an increase over BC's identical 3" load.(btw, who puts 2 1/2 oz of powder in their shells?) Look, bud, im not gonna get into an argument w/ you over a shot gun shell, i spend to much time bickering with the peta folks here on YT. There is an added benefit when using 3 1/2's over 3'' for me. And im not interested in buying a 10g to take full advantage of a 3 1/2shell.
im not even argueing with u man u just cant see or know what im talking about u thought i ment that ur shotgun shells were literally overloaded "good one with but i can hear them BBs rolling around so they are not overloaded" that maid me laugh!!! BTW if u knew shit or read a little better or could comprhend better u would know that i said "2 1/4 oz of shot not gun powder BUD" im looking at a box of hevi-metal 3 inch BB 1 1/4 oz with 1500 FPS so what???
im glad i could make you laugh, that was the point. This started because you mentioned that 3 1/2'' shell damage birds. I replied saying thats not necessarily true if you use proper shot size. I would have though that you could have agreed w/ that. But instead you launched into some tirade about 10's & 12's, and the validity of 3 1/2's. Not about bird damage. Im just saying there is a benefit with 3 1/2's. Shoot 3's all day long bud, shoot what you feel confident with, ill do the same.
i didnt ignor the 10g comment, thats why i asked for some clarification. I never was "calling you out" or anything like that, i was just wondering. Im sure you could have explained it better without the limits on character count. Just askin' thats all
that a 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge & a 3 1/2 in 10 gauge are the same lenth & that could be one reason why i brang up the 10 gauge i doubt you would of figured out why the 10gauge out shoots a 12gauge 3 1/2 so i
was giveing info hopeing you would use it to see that a 3 1/2 inch really isnt that much better then a 3 inch 12 & a 10gauge 3 1/2 out shoots a 12 gauge 3 1/2
inch & why that is... reguard less more BBS more holes at close range equells more damage?
so u dont feel like i ignored ur shot size comment- if u shoot a 3 1/2 inch shell loaded with 4 shot into a duck at close range it will have more holes in it then if u shot it at close range with a 2 3/4inch 3inch useing 4 shot it has more pellets in it its common math & common sence but take that 3 1/2 inch 4 shot & shoot it down range & it will lose its FPS faster then a 2 3/4 inch/ 3 inch becouse it is being pushed by the same amount of gun powder. BTW who uses a 3 1/2 inch 4 close shooting?
i never eluded to that being untrue, sure it will tear it up more. But when you hunt, are all your shots under 30yrds? If they are great, you've got a good spot. As for me, its a mix. Ill shoot 3 1/2 4's at geese under 30yrds all day long, with minimal carnage. Every time i duck hunt(in my area, is also a goose hunt) The loads i use are versatile, shooting 2'3/4 is not ideal for me. I shoot different loads throughout the season, You suggests that all 3 1/2'' shells destroy meat, its not true.
u suggest that shit not me BUD learn to read BUDDY i never suggested shit about all 3 1/2 inchers destroying meat?
u must be reading somebody elses comments? if u are refering to me useing 2 3/4 inch 4 shot 12 gauge shells when i early season duck hunt so i dont blow up the duck to bad when i do finealy hit 1 comment? that is true i did say that &do beleave anything else would be over kill wear i hunt i also said that people just want a 3 1/2 12g just becouse its big not becouse its out shoots
i must have a good spot then?or a good teacher? my dad was never a sky buster or a pass shooter we would rather
suck the ducks in useing decoys/calling & be in killer places so that even if the ducks did fly by they were in range? proubly 40 yards & under? i could shoot all day early season if i shot at ducks farther out then that but we are in the woods & sky busting only means the ducks land in the timber & are verry rarely if ever seen ageain? 95% of our shots are under 40-45 yards if that!
i never said i sky busted. You never take a shot over 40? no crips? If your timber hunting 2 3/4 may be fine for you. I never timberhunt, i hunt open water 90%
me & a buddy sound like u & i he goes out every year if not every other year
& trades in & gets a new auto 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge all he dose is field hunt/pass shoot he also says i never sky bust but put the ducks/geese out in front of him over water not up in the air & out & he really cant tell distince so he shoots& says i hit them all the time at that range when field hunt? not that u sky bust but they dont have to be up in the air to bust birds or for them to be out of range of a 3 1/2 canon
now days i only take shots at birds i know i can kill im only 24 & the timber helped me learn when/when not to take shots on birds that are border line out of range...
even if u stone cold kill a bird & they hit that woods & u dont have a good mark on them kiss them good bye so that means i pass on a lot of good shot opertuneitys but thats only fair to the birds
its great on the river i can stand &watch wood ducks/teal blue/green cruz up/down
the river at 60 yards plus & hope they come closer
at them geese u shoot at all day under 30 yards there would be minimal caranage becouse the lack of pellets
or shoot 2 3/4 1-2 shot at the same geese u would crumble them at under 30 yards just the same as the big 3 1/2 ive seen my dad use 2 3/4 BB out of a 3 inch 870 with a 28 inch barrel mod choke
& be just as effective as me useing a 3 inch BB black cloud? he was useing winchester xpert cheap loads??? we didnt know he was useing 2 3/4 till after?
if i shot 2 3/4 bb or t's i would be screwed for ducks. Your dad must be a good shot, use what you want, but you've admitted there is a gain in 3 1/2's, at range that advantage is diminished. Thats why i shoot BC. Ive tried to explain that i shoot a variety of game @ various yardage throughout the season. And the increase in price is worth it (to me) to have a more versatile round. Ive never knocked you once for the shot you use, all you've done is argue about what i use.
never knocked u BUD & never addmited there is a gain in 3 1/2 inch shell eaither
i just answed ur i shoot geese with 4 shot under 30 yards all day with out carnage? i just said try a smaller shell 1 day with a biger size shot if the geese are under 30 yards all day? for that matter try a 2 3/4 inch 4 shot if they are in close? i hunt giant canada geese in minnesota in fields i hunt river bottums & open water small lakes never needed 3 1/2 or black cloud but we try new loads as well...
"that a 3 1/2 inch really isnt *that much better* then a 3 inch 12"=brownrider56
the advantages are arguable, as ive said the whole time. Ive seen kids knock out geese at 40+ w/ a 20g. Your argument suggests the weakest shot that will knock birds down is sufficient. But you dont shoot 20's? Again, shoot what you want, if 2 3/4's-3's are fine for you, great.(i shoot 3's often) Why do you have such an issue over what someone else shoots?
why the fuck do u care what i think about what others shoot??? *that much better* after that comment i also said it loses its velocity faster then a 3inch becouse a 3 inch leaves the muzzle faster
at closer ranges yes a 3 1/2inch will fill your pattern up more*but it will also lose its knock down power fatser becouse its being pushed by the same amount of powder as a 3 inch load* u use them for longer range shots but use what ever the fuck u want knowing the info u know! *(i shoot 3's often)*!?
wish i could ass hole she passed away not to long ago hope that makes ya feel good BUD!!! have a good season we know you dont sky bust but you uses 3 1/2 inch black cloud & other $ shot that enables you to take long shots over open
what u missed was that its all about matching your powder to your amount of BBs & if u put to many BBs into a 3 1/2
inch 12 gauge thas it actually acts worse down range then a 3 inch velocity wise like it wont hit as hard as less shot fired useing more gun powder!!! the advantage when useing a 3 1/2 inch shell comes into play when u are useing a 3 1/2 inch 10 gauge becouse its powder/BB amount is ballenced correctly kinda like a 3 inch 12 gauge... i was compairing 3 1/2 shells eaither gauge??
i dont agree with that either, 3 1/2 12's generally have more velocity than their 3' counter parts. The lack of velocity increase between a 12g 3 1/2 & 10g 3 1/2 is not enough to discount a 12g 3 1/2. Velocity cannot be judge strictly by shot size and load, variables between manufacturers come into play. Thats why fps various among different brands making the same shell. Also, speaking strictly about velocity, there are many 10 shells that dont have the fps that the 12g counter parts do.
fps is all good & dandy but the other part of velocity is the weight/denseity of the perjectile being shot... muzzle velocity fps of the perjectile being shot & its weight/dencity are all importent but velocity is how hard something hits & how hard something hits depends on its weight & how fast it was traveling & how dence it is a 10g may not fly as fast but in commpairison to a 3 1/2 inch 12g muzzle velocity it come out of the muzzle faster thus a 3 1/2 will stop sooner regurdless of fps???
when i go turkey hunting in the spring i pay like 25-30 dollars american for only 5 shot shells that sucks & i shoot a extra full or supper full i cant remember witch is titer but i think its the extra full choke .665 we useally use a mod or imp/mod choke for waterfaowl in america but some do shoot full i guess if they are pass shooting/sky busting??? early season close corters i use improved or modifiied with BB-4 shot depending on what ducks are around with a 2 3/4 shell
I used to shoot #2 and I liked it pretty well, but I've had better luck with #4's. If you shoot your ducks within 35 yards or so, you don't need anything bigger and you can put more pellets in the air. You just have to find the gun/choke/shot combo that works best for you. I shot a wad wizard out of my benelli and it rocked with Federal #2, but it sucked big time with anything else. Now I use #4 with a briley choke and I like it alot.
i live in scappoose oregon and i shoot bb and bbb for my goose and ducks 4 shot is a small size i shoot bb and ii never blow the breast out of my ducks.
the guy who sings "cut em all jack" is steve conover. i've made a couple video clips for a couple of his songs..."in the mud" and "what a man will do for a duck".

IIII wasn't going to pay that!
danebrewer10 2 years ago
yeah the non toxic shot is way to much $
for guys like me who are not marksmen & hit every shot the fire... guys like these
men hear are hardcore waterfowlers as are a lot of people wear im from & every young teenager that wants a new shot gun wants the big 3 1/2 inch canon but i prefer to use 3 inch at most & most of the time in early season we get teal & wood ducks wear im from small/middle sized ducks so i use 2 3/4 inch 4s or bb as not to blow them up to bad when i do finealy hit one...
brownrider56 2 years ago
3 1/2'' shells dont tear birds up near as bad as people think(so long as your shots not to large). Ive seen worse results from people shooting 3'' BB's/1's into ducks at close range. Same shot made in the same group with 3 1'2'' 3's or 4's produce dead ducks with minimal "carnage". I just think its more about shot size rather than shell size. With that said, i think 3 1/2's have some advantages over 3's. Some folks says 3'' pattern better, that may be a fair argument, i dont really know.
brreed82 2 years ago
3 1/2 inch 12 gauge & 3 1/2 inch 10 gauge shell dont pattern the same becouse there are more BBs in a 10 gauge shell & powder so its a better choice over a 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge but compair a 3 inch & 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge shells powder/amount of BBs they act similar down range to 1 another but the 3 1/2 inch has more BBs/powder then the 3inch 12gauge but not more then the 10gauge 3 1/2 so the 3 1/2 inch 12gauge is like a inbetween gauge/shot just better then a 3inch 12 but less then a 3 1/2inch 10
brownrider56 2 years ago
ive seen 2 3/4 12 gauge do everything from tear up ducks at close range to drop
birds no body else in the blind would shoot at becouse we thought they were out of range of 3-3 1/2 inch guns? a 2 3/4 inch shell packs a punch it has a lot of powder compaired to the BB load but just has less BBs to work with overall, a 3 1/2 inch will pattern better then a 3inch on a target but not allways knock more birds down it has allmost to much BBs in its load thats why it dosent act like a 3 1/2 in 10gauge
brownrider56 2 years ago
i dont necessarily disagree with what you are saying, but where(or why) does the 10guage come into play in this discussion? Just curious if i missed something?
brreed82 2 years ago
you missed or dont know that a 10gauge
3 1/2 inch is 3 1/2 long write? & a 12 gauge 3 1/2 inch is 3 1/12 inch long write? thats wear they come into play! they are 2 shells that are the same lenth but are in differnt gauges &they dont act alike write? becouse the 10gauge isnt over loading the hull/shell with BBs write?same with the 3 inch 12 & 3 1/2 inch 12gauge the 3inch 12gauge dosent overload the shell with BBs like a 3 1/2 inch 12gauge shell so there is really no advantage to useing 3 1/2 12
brownrider56 2 years ago
easy scooter, you replied to my comment, talking about the difference between 10g and 12g shells.
They both shoot and pattern well.
brreed82 2 years ago
easy there lil buddy u left me a comment 1st about shot size & it being a bigger factor then shell lenth? but then went on to say something about a 3 inch patterning better or hearing it may pattern better then a 3 1/2? & about thinking a 3 1/2 inch has advantages over a 3 inch? i was trying to show u that a 3 1/2 inch may pattern better "opasit of what u said" & that a 10 gauge in the same lenth of shell 3 1/2 inch out shoots/patterns a 3 1/2 12 gauge... becouse the 12 gauge is overlaoded
brownrider56 2 years ago
wow u are simple! um im say n that velocity wise a 3 inch 12 gauge performs better then a 3 1/2 12 gauge becouse the 3 1/2 12 gauge has basicly the same amount of gunpowder as a 3 inch but just more BBs in the load thus it cant be pushed out at the same muzzle velocity as a 3 inch 12,im looking at a chart write now 10 gauge 3 1/2 inch 2 1/4 oz shot 4shot 12 gauge 3 1/2 inch 2 1/4oz 4 shot both have 304 pellets but the 10gauge muzzle velocity is 1210 the 12 gauge is 1150 3inch 1175 280 pellets?
brownrider56 2 years ago
i guess im covered well then, my Black Cloud 12g 3 1/2'' shoots 1500. And im not interested in buying a 10g to take full advantage of a 3 1/2shell.
brreed82 2 years ago
yeah ur good at bickering i can tell...
im not even argueing with u man u just cant see or know what im talking about u thought i ment that ur shotgun shells were literally overloaded "good one with but i can hear them BBs rolling around so they are not overloaded" that maid me laugh!!! BTW if u knew shit or read a little better or could comprhend better u would know that i said "2 1/4 oz of shot not gun powder BUD" im looking at a box of hevi-metal 3 inch BB 1 1/4 oz with 1500 FPS so what???
brownrider56 2 years ago
im glad i could make you laugh, that was the point. Shoot 3's all day long bud, shoot what you feel confident with, ill do the same.
brreed82 2 years ago
exactly a 3 1/2 inch shell this all started becouse u left me a comment & i sent 1 back to u about 3 1/2 inch shells
u just got lost in the gauge size BUD
i would of thought u would/could see
i was saying is that a 3 1/2 in 12 gauge
is a waste of $ & dosent out perforum or isnt more advantageious then a 3 inch 12 gauge & if u are going to waste $
on a 3 1/2 inch gun make it a 10 gauge!!!
but u ignore the 10 gauge info & the over loaded shell balistics info like i ignored the shot size..
brownrider56 2 years ago
i didnt ignor the 10g comment, thats why i asked for some clarification. I never was "calling you out" or anything like that, i was just wondering. Im sure you could have explained it better without the limits on character count. Just askin' thats all
brreed82 2 years ago
im sure you could of figured out eventually
that a 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge & a 3 1/2 in 10 gauge are the same lenth & that could be one reason why i brang up the 10 gauge i doubt you would of figured out why the 10gauge out shoots a 12gauge 3 1/2 so i
was giveing info hopeing you would use it to see that a 3 1/2 inch really isnt that much better then a 3 inch 12 & a 10gauge 3 1/2 out shoots a 12 gauge 3 1/2
inch & why that is... reguard less more BBS more holes at close range equells more damage?
brownrider56 2 years ago
so u dont feel like i ignored ur shot size comment- if u shoot a 3 1/2 inch shell loaded with 4 shot into a duck at close range it will have more holes in it then if u shot it at close range with a 2 3/4inch 3inch useing 4 shot it has more pellets in it its common math & common sence but take that 3 1/2 inch 4 shot & shoot it down range & it will lose its FPS faster then a 2 3/4 inch/ 3 inch becouse it is being pushed by the same amount of gun powder. BTW who uses a 3 1/2 inch 4 close shooting?
brownrider56 2 years ago
i never eluded to that being untrue, sure it will tear it up more. I shoot different loads throughout the season, You suggests that all 3 1/2'' shells destroy meat, its not true.
brreed82 2 years ago
u suggest that shit not me BUD learn to read BUDDY i never suggested shit about all 3 1/2 inchers destroying meat?
u must be reading somebody elses comments? if u are refering to me useing 2 3/4 inch 4 shot 12 gauge shells when i early season duck hunt so i dont blow up the duck to bad when i do finealy hit 1 comment? that is true i did say that &do beleave anything else would be over kill wear i hunt i also said that people just want a 3 1/2 12g just becouse its big not becouse its out shoots
brownrider56 2 years ago
i must have a good spot then?or a good teacher? my dad was never a sky buster or a pass shooter we would rather
suck the ducks in useing decoys/calling & be in killer places so that even if the ducks did fly by they were in range? proubly 40 yards & under? i could shoot all day early season if i shot at ducks farther out then that but we are in the woods & sky busting only means the ducks land in the timber & are verry rarely if ever seen ageain? 95% of our shots are under 40-45 yards if that!
brownrider56 2 years ago
i never said i sky busted. You never take a shot over 40? no crips? If your timber hunting 2 3/4 may be fine for you. I never timberhunt, i hunt open water 90%
brreed82 2 years ago
me & a buddy sound like u & i he goes out every year if not every other year
& trades in & gets a new auto 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge all he dose is field hunt/pass shoot he also says i never sky bust but put the ducks/geese out in front of him over water not up in the air & out & he really cant tell distince so he shoots& says i hit them all the time at that range when field hunt? not that u sky bust but they dont have to be up in the air to bust birds or for them to be out of range of a 3 1/2 canon
brownrider56 2 years ago
now days i only take shots at birds i know i can kill im only 24 & the timber helped me learn when/when not to take shots on birds that are border line out of range...
even if u stone cold kill a bird & they hit that woods & u dont have a good mark on them kiss them good bye so that means i pass on a lot of good shot opertuneitys but thats only fair to the birds
its great on the river i can stand &watch wood ducks/teal blue/green cruz up/down
the river at 60 yards plus & hope they come closer
brownrider56 2 years ago
i bet if u shot a 2 3/4 BB load or T load
at them geese u shoot at all day under 30 yards there would be minimal caranage becouse the lack of pellets
or shoot 2 3/4 1-2 shot at the same geese u would crumble them at under 30 yards just the same as the big 3 1/2 ive seen my dad use 2 3/4 BB out of a 3 inch 870 with a 28 inch barrel mod choke
& be just as effective as me useing a 3 inch BB black cloud? he was useing winchester xpert cheap loads??? we didnt know he was useing 2 3/4 till after?
brownrider56 2 years ago
if i shot 2 3/4 bb or t's i would be screwed for ducks. Ive never knocked you once for the shot you use, all you've done is argue about what i use.
brreed82 2 years ago
never knocked u BUD & never addmited there is a gain in 3 1/2 inch shell eaither
i just answed ur i shoot geese with 4 shot under 30 yards all day with out carnage? i just said try a smaller shell 1 day with a biger size shot if the geese are under 30 yards all day? for that matter try a 2 3/4 inch 4 shot if they are in close? i hunt giant canada geese in minnesota in fields i hunt river bottums & open water small lakes never needed 3 1/2 or black cloud but we try new loads as well...
brownrider56 2 years ago
"that a 3 1/2 inch really isnt *that much better* then a 3 inch 12"=brownrider56
the advantages are arguable, as ive said the whole time. Ive seen kids knock out geese at 40+ w/ a 20g. Your argument suggests the weakest shot that will knock birds down is sufficient. But you dont shoot 20's? Again, shoot what you want, if 2 3/4's-3's are fine for you, great.(i shoot 3's often) Why do you have such an issue over what someone else shoots?
brreed82 2 years ago
why the fuck do u care what i think about what others shoot??? *that much better* after that comment i also said it loses its velocity faster then a 3inch becouse a 3 inch leaves the muzzle faster
at closer ranges yes a 3 1/2inch will fill your pattern up more*but it will also lose its knock down power fatser becouse its being pushed by the same amount of powder as a 3 inch load* u use them for longer range shots but use what ever the fuck u want knowing the info u know! *(i shoot 3's often)*!?
brownrider56 2 years ago
do you kiss your mother with that mouth?
im done with you.
brreed82 2 years ago
wish i could ass hole she passed away not to long ago hope that makes ya feel good BUD!!! have a good season we know you dont sky bust but you uses 3 1/2 inch black cloud & other $ shot that enables you to take long shots over open
wink wink!!! have fun *shooting 3's often*
brownrider56 2 years ago
what u missed was that its all about matching your powder to your amount of BBs & if u put to many BBs into a 3 1/2
inch 12 gauge thas it actually acts worse down range then a 3 inch velocity wise like it wont hit as hard as less shot fired useing more gun powder!!! the advantage when useing a 3 1/2 inch shell comes into play when u are useing a 3 1/2 inch 10 gauge becouse its powder/BB amount is ballenced correctly kinda like a 3 inch 12 gauge... i was compairing 3 1/2 shells eaither gauge??
brownrider56 2 years ago
i dont agree with that either, 3 1/2 12's generally have more velocity than their 3' counter parts. Also, speaking strictly about velocity, there are many 10 shells that dont have the fps that the 12g counter parts do.
brreed82 2 years ago
fps is all good & dandy but the other part of velocity is the weight/denseity of the perjectile being shot... muzzle velocity fps of the perjectile being shot & its weight/dencity are all importent but velocity is how hard something hits & how hard something hits depends on its weight & how fast it was traveling & how dence it is a 10g may not fly as fast but in commpairison to a 3 1/2 inch 12g muzzle velocity it come out of the muzzle faster thus a 3 1/2 will stop sooner regurdless of fps???
brownrider56 2 years ago
when i go turkey hunting in the spring i pay like 25-30 dollars american for only 5 shot shells that sucks & i shoot a extra full or supper full i cant remember witch is titer but i think its the extra full choke .665 we useally use a mod or imp/mod choke for waterfaowl in america but some do shoot full i guess if they are pass shooting/sky busting??? early season close corters i use improved or modifiied with BB-4 shot depending on what ducks are around with a 2 3/4 shell
brownrider56 2 years ago
id hate to have to pick up all those decoys in the spread. haha
ZDAY264 3 years ago
#4 isnt even that big of a shot.... i shoot 2 all the time, and its the perfect shot for ducks.
ZDAY263 3 years ago
I used to shoot #2 and I liked it pretty well, but I've had better luck with #4's. If you shoot your ducks within 35 yards or so, you don't need anything bigger and you can put more pellets in the air. You just have to find the gun/choke/shot combo that works best for you. I shot a wad wizard out of my benelli and it rocked with Federal #2, but it sucked big time with anything else. Now I use #4 with a briley choke and I like it alot.

how do you find him on myspace?

he's on DC's myspace page... or search "hardcore huntin and fishin music"

Yeah I'm pretty sure the original artist is not duck commander. I don't think Phil and Jase Robertson play country music.
