Remember 4S is not the top version. Panamera Turbo with PDK gearbox does 0-60 in about 3,8 seconds and laps Nurburgring in 7:5x, which is almost as fast as BMW M3, and faster than CTS-V or M5, and that is extremely impressive if you take into consideration that M3/M5/CTS-V/E63 look tiny when parked next to Panamera, and are much much lighter. Panamera is actually the size of BMW 7 or Mercedes S class...with same amount of luxury inside. Its simply one of the best cars money can buy today.

People have to start comparing this car to the competition in it's class...not other Porsches. I think it is an awesome car for what it is...and as for the ugliness, I can see where it comes from, but I saw one in real life for the first time and thought that it looks a lot more muscular and sleeker than in photos.

Trust me, this is one beautiful car - the word ugly=Cadillacs I'm afraid.. they aren't remotely in the same book, let alone on the same page as the Panamera. Actually it is pronounced as porsha, it is not pronounced as porsh, I know because i own one and in germany they pronounce it like that, which means it is obviously the right way. And this Porsche Panamera is really nice, but I dont know what the point is though with only four seats, I would just get the Mercedes S550 for the same price and an extra fifth seat, otherwise I would just get the Porsche Carrera S.
Overall, it looks OK. It's a shame, because from certain angles the car is gorgeous, but from the rear, it's a disappointment. In terms of the combination of performance and luxury, it's the best car in it's class.

My dad bought this car today, I first preferred the Mercedes CL 63 over this one but after driving them both and seeing them both IRL i'm really not sure which one is "best" or even looking better. It's an awesome car.
@Dalaryna this car is much better. the amg version of the cl doesn't really suit the car. for similar money, if you had your heart set on a cl, i'd have gone for the cl600 with the 6 liter v12 and 500 bhp. it has similar power to the 63, but it's much more relaxed, which is characteristic of the car.
the panamera is an incredible machine, but it's nothing like the cl.
tbh I really really prefer the 63 over the 6 liter. If you want a relaxed car.. and some extra cash you should go for the 65 as its way more relaxed than the 63. I like the agressiveness of the 63 though
none eva got the oppertunity to talk bad about a porche but this car might change that all for porche cuz we all know porche for producin an immaculate set of wheels this ones cool but not exactly what we expect of a porche
i've been saying it for years, the cadillac cts-v has trouble putting its power onto the road. both do 0-60 in 4.6 seconds... the panamera only weighs 50 or so lbs less but has 156 bhp less power.

@coolerdude44 The Rapide is undeniably prettier than the Panamera, no questions asked. Though, it's half assed. When speaking of technology and simple dynamics, the Panamera wins, no comparison, but for sheer beauty, the Rapide wins.

My dad bought this car today, I first preferred the Mercedes CL 63 over this one but after driving them both and seeing them both IRL i'm really not sure which one is "best" or even looking better. It's an awesome car.

@Dalaryna this car is much better. the amg version of the cl doesn't really suit the car. for similar money, if you had your heart set on a cl, i'd have gone for the cl600 with the 6 liter v12 and 500 bhp. it has similar power to the 63, but it's much more relaxed, which is characteristic of the car.
the panamera is an incredible machine, but it's nothing like the cl.

tbh I really really prefer the 63 over the 6 liter. If you want a relaxed car.. and some extra cash you should go for the 65 as its way more relaxed than the 63. I like the agressiveness of the 63 though

i've been saying it for years, the cadillac cts-v has trouble putting its power onto the road. both do 0-60 in 4.6 seconds... the panamera only weighs 50 or so lbs less but has 156 bhp less power.

I already ordered a 2010 CTS-V, which as you know, out performs the M5 in every respect.
