Other religions and religious people try to be perfect to "earn" their way to Heaven. "a person is not justified by works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ" (Gal. 2:16) . Eternal salvation cannot be earned. It is a free gift given to us by God through the sacrifice of His son.

"not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith" (Phil 3:9). And also, "For God declares sinners to be good in his sight (righteous) if they have faith in Christ to save them from God's wrath" (Romans 4:5).

Other religions and religious people try to be perfect to "earn" their way to Heaven. "a person is not justified by works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ" (Gal. 2:16) . Eternal salvation cannot be earned. It is a free gift given to us by God through the sacrifice of His son.

People act as if the really KNOW anything about the spiritual realm. Why can't ppl be honest and admit "I don't really know for sure". In a way it feels more comfortable to pretend you know exactly what happens to everyone after death but whan I finally admitted the truth which is 'I don't know' there was a relief in that honesty and there was even a sense of being closer to God.
