Ok I know how the caution happened. Ryan Newman(39) runs into AJ(43) then into Smoke(tony, 14) then AJ runs into Truex jr.(57) up into the wall. AJ comes back down and his end of car hits Khanes(83 or 82 I forget) and AJ gets sideways. Then Gillalin(34) hits AJ in the side which makes him flip up into the wall. Newman Started the Crash!

It's a good thing AJ flipped where he did, if he was in the lead group with Bowyer and Harvick, his car might have flipped back up the track in the turn and been hit

I just notice something, if you look closely at 0:31 you see AJ already starting to get airborne. It looks as if Gilliland just made him flip faster (but still was going to turn over). Crazy wreck though.

The point of roof flaps is to slow the car down so when a car is pushing the car that is spinning the roof flaps can't slow the car down fast enough and the car blows over. Awesome post IronHead :3

@CARLEDWARDS2009 actually the point of the roof flaps is to create downforce for a car moving backwards at a fast rate, not to slow the car down, the roof flaps would never slow a car down enough to keep it from flipping if that was their point.

A car flips because air gets underneath the car and creates enough lift to lift up the car, the roof flaps are to make the car heavier so the air getting under the car doesnt create enough lt to flip the car. its basic phisics

Of course I hate to see AJ flipping and I'm so glad that he's ok. But I also hate it for David Gilliland who had a very strong run, somewhere in the top 20 or maybe the top 15, and then wrecking in the last lap. Pety one for FRM :(
