Stereotypes against non-Muslims are more rife in the Muslim world than stereotypes against Muslims are in the non-Muslim world.
Democratic countries (and people) accept and are tolerant of other faiths, whereas many in the Muslim countries are paranoid and on a systemic campaign to convert, harass and even kill their non-Muslim citizens. Their 'secular' citizens are active participants in the miserable plight of non- Muslims amomgst them.
Check the minorities status in all Islamic countries
If that surah means what you think it means,and I had a religion which said that I am to murder all who practice Islam,that this would be acceptable?
Also do you know when that surah was revealed and why?
Perhaps you should look it up you might be surprised by what you find.Because that surah is actually the opposite of religious tolerance,it is in fact a declaration of war on the Meccans after they had offered the Muslims peace.
Surat Al kafiroon was revealed when people in mecca told our profit that they can be muslims for a certain period and muslims will be kafiroon for other period and then they will judge to see which religion is better. that's why this sura was revealed. please make sure of your sources before saying something
I could agree with most of these thing if my ppl were not under Ottoman rule for 500 years. And only the strong ones stayed Christians, but there are lots who converted to Islam. At that time Turks did horrible things to my ppl to convert them to Islam.
In fact i disagree with you as i live in Egypt where islam came to our country more than 1000 years ago, and most of egyptians now are muslims, and most of them converted in the begining because the good treatement they had and the freedom they had also, and all what's in the video is the basics of islam and if anyone did something different so, he is not considered a muslim, as he is not working on the quran....
They were not saying we are doing this to you becasuse you are Christians. They were killing our children, teaking our food, raping our wifes, because of some small reasons. A Christian could't marry his wife if he didn't allow a Turk to rape her before that, and ther are many, many other things they did. And all of this would stop if you convert to Islam.
Crusaders were not doing by the bible, but you still consider them Christians. But ppl who don't work on quran, you don't consider them Muslims... thats not ligical.
i didn't say anything about crusaders, as we believe in christianity and that they are a religion by god, but i know Egypt and i can tell you that what you are talking about didn't happen in Egypt
what proves my point is that christian population in Egypt is 7% and our government consists of 20 minsters of which 2 are Christians (10%), so they represent in the government more than their percentage in population. I have lots of christian friend and we all do really great and we live a perfect social experience. Christians who feel afraid of Muslims or feel oppressed in this country should really see a doctor.

most of the ayat that prohibited killing and stated the punishment -to be killed for that- is talking about human being and not specifies muslims and if you can look up for what saudi arabia did to the people who killed foriegn people, you will know that you are not right

I think he was trying to show the scriptures and showing that Islam doesn't force itself on others. To non-muslims be there religion and to muslims be theirs. I am sorry that protesting remark doesnt make sense. Addmeifucan, by sake of your own argument you can only tell others what you believe, not what "muslims" Believe, as there are many interpretations of scriptures.
