  • you're so adorable

  • What kind of world do we live in where you wanna tangle??

  • I don't understand.

  • But thank you for watching, sincerely :)

  • Nope, I think it's about as appropriate as it ever was, despite that just war rhetoric that popped up at the Nobel reception ceremony this past week.

  • Thanks Matthew; that's a a very good song for our times. I think I'll try "Waltzing

    Matilda". Ciao, Marco.

  • Excellent! From one pacifist to another! :-)

Also, you should look up the song "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda" by Eric Bogle. It's one of the best anti-war songs ever written.

  • I will. I've heard it once before, but I don't remember the tune. I thought It was in Rise Up Singing, actually, but I just checked, and it isn't. Maybe it'll need to be a bonus. Unless you want to sing it on your channel first. That'd be awesome.

  • I'm not much of a singer. But I do intend to start vlogging at some point, as soon as I get a webcam.

  • "The world's got hunger and ignorance You can't feed that with bombs and guns (...) The world needs housing, food and schools And learning a few universal rules."

I love your bonus and the GREAT Pete Seeger.

  • Thanks. I don't think there's a person on earth Pete Seeer couldn't inspire it they gave him a chance.

  • "...inspire IF they..."

  • Yes, bring 'em home. I'm so tired of this stupid war.

I saw Pete Seeger sing this on The Johnny Cash Show in the documentary The Power of Song, which I heartily recommend. He said that after the show a man came up, shook his hand, and said, "Mr. Seeger, I came to kill you tonight." But he was so moved by Pete's singing, he couldn't do it. He said to Pete, "I feel clean," and they sang 'Where Have All the Flowers Gone?' together. Thought I'd share that.

  • That's incredible. I just read up on that story since you pointed me to it. Have you seen "The Power of Song?"

  • Uhuh. It's fantastic.
